BabyBjorn Babysitter Balance [giveaway]

BabyBjorn Babysitter Balance [giveaway] 1She is a baby in arms. Always held. Forever passed between her adoring daddy and her two big sisters who fight for the chance to cuddle her.

Most of all, she is close to my heart - usually resting on my chest. We are almost never apart, she and I. Still intertwined, cocooned together though she is no longer inside me.

Even so, there are moments when hands need to be free and we have always appreciated having a bouncer on-hand. Lightweight and well-designed, the BabyBjorn Babysitter Balance tops products in the category. The seat is safe and soft - and bounces with the baby's movements (so much nicer than electric vibrations). I particularly appreciate the "no-frills" elegance and the understated style.

Rated for newborn babies up to approximately 2 years old, you can purchase the seat in a wide variety of colors. An organic option is also available. The fabric is, of course, removable and machine-washable for easy care.

Since we're in Arizona and the summer is almost upon us (the high was 91 today), we have the Babysitter Balance Air, which is crafted out of a breathable mesh for baby's comfort.

You can buy it on Amazon and get free shipping!

  1. These are great! I had a bouncy seat too - not this nice of one - but we used the daylights out of it. It was especially helpful when I was home alone with baby and had to do dishes, laundry, etc. I could take her from room to room, talk with her to tell her all that I was doing, and she could happily sit and watch. It was wonderful!

  2. I was surprised by how much we used hand me down bouncy seats with both of my girls. They much preferred them to swings. I would love to win one of these to use with baby #3 and put into the friend-baby-stuff rotation:)

  3. This looks like a very unique bouncer. I like that it moves when the child moves. My granddaughter is expecting her first baby and I think this would be a great gift for her.

  4. My daughter recently told us we will be receiving our first Grandchild in time for Christmas. I would love to give this to her as her first baby gift. I remember many the time holding a baby as I was trying to maake supper or wash dishes or fold laundry, etc. This looks like it would be very convenient.

  5. I’ve heard such great things about the baby bjorn and it would be great to win it!

  6. My daughter would not sleep anywhere except for in her bouncer for the first three months! I would love to win a new one for our next child because our first wore it out!! Plus this one is really cute!!

  7. These look very comfortable compared to all the old ones I have seen. I would love to be able to try this out.

  8. I loved this product for my baby...would love to win one for a friend who is expecting and could use a little extra help! It is one of those must-haves !

  9. I like the quality and simplicity of the bouncer. My daughter's best friend is expecting a baby boy in August and this would be wonderful for her.

  10. With their simple design, these look really relaxing for baby. That's so nice that it's mesh, I'm from Arizona too so it's really nice that they make a model that's breathable to help keep baby cool!

  11. That was a lovely opening paragraph! My best friend is pregnant. I'm sending her this blog!

  12. I have my 3rd and final baby arriving any day now and oh my gosh this seat is so cute. I'm still using a cheapo one I bought w/ my first son. This one looks way sturdier & definitely more stylish.

  13. An awesome product. I love that you can buy the breatheable fabric for those warmer areas, like here in TX. Sounds like little one is getting lots o love! :)

  14. I wish i had one of these when i had my son, he is a little too big for it now at 7 lol but my little sis could sure use this for her first daughter!

  15. Our bouncer was such a saving grace with our 10 month old when she was a newborn. We have another little girl due next month and this would be perfect! Thank you for the lovely giveaway!

  16. I am the lucky grandma to a 1 year old girl and a 8 week old boy that live with their parents, here at home. Our littlest grandson does get fussy at very inopportune time like when we're cooking dinner or vacuuming or eating. While there are alot of Aunts available this would be great for those moments when he needs to be out of hands holding him and it would also give him a little time to be independent.

  17. Wow this is the neatest looking one I have ever seen, I would love to win this for my sister who needs everything..

  18. This little chair puts other "bouncy chairs" to shame. It is sleek and stylish. Not lame. Like with little teddy bears on it or anything.

  19. this looks like it'd be great for my 9 day old baby. I have nothing besides a stroller to put her in right now because I gave away the swing her older brother had!

  20. think this is alright ! Looks like a great angle to fee the little ones from

  21. I really like the look and design of this. They look super comfortable and Baby Bjorn makes high quality products

    brich22 at earthlink dot net

  22. Wow this is a wonderful bouncer in that it doesn't use batteries. It would be nice to save some $$ :)

  23. I would love to win this for my sister who is pregnant. I love Baby Bjorn products and I love the modern look associated with the product

  24. This looks so much more trendy than many of the others out there (sorry ladies, I just dont like all the cute-sy stuff! ;)

  25. We are 8 weeks old along with our 3rd little one and a bouncer was indispensable for the first 2! They did spend much of the time in the Baby Bjorn (baby carrier) but when I needed my hands free (like to take a shower!), they went into the bouncer.

  26. I REALLY wanted one of these when I was pregnant, but couldn't sell my husband on the price tag. I love that it can be used for so long, unlike the traditional bouncer that is useless by the time baby is a couple months old.

  27. I actually really love this bouncer even though it's really simple which can have it's advantages! The purple is really cool.

  28. my niece is a little wiggle worm who cant stop moving. she would LOVE this (and so would her mom!).

  29. We borrowed a swing for our first child, and after that used a bouncer seat. It seemed to fit in little apartments better than the big swing did.

  30. Beautiful bouncer! Would look a lot better in my apartment than some of the other choices out there.

    lauren.uda(at)gmail(dot)com

  31. Such a beautiful photo! I've heard great things about this product and have had my eye on it for awhile, would love to try it as I already like other items from the Baby Bjorn line! Thanks so much.

  32. This would make a wonderful gift for a first time mom to be. Not only does mom sometimes need her hands free, but it's good for baby to have a little independent time too.

  33. I have heard nothing but great reviews on this bouncer. We are moving cross country a few days after baby girl is born, so this would be so handy as we are unpacking all the boxes! :)

  34. I love the Baby Bjorn carrier that I have. I imagine that the bouncer is just as good of a product.

  35. My baby never really loved the electronic bouncy seat she has. The movements seem to startle her, so we mostly use it turned off. I'd love this one because it responds to her movements. Been wanting one for a long time but it's a hard sell to my husband because we technically have a bouncy seat already. Would love to win this so he can see this is one of a kind! I bet my little girl will love it

  36. I bought this one to my niece before I had any babies because I trust this brand. She loved it & she enjoys sitting in it comfortably. I would love to have one for my baby now.

  37. I gave mine to my sister in law after my daughter was done with it and it's been ruined. Now that I'm trying for a second, I will need a new one.

  38. I've had my eye on this babysitter balance for a long time and would love one for my one month old. I think the thing I like most about it, is that it isn't all "babyish". It looks great in your house and is very practical for your baby as well. Great to sit up and look around, with some natural movement. A great thing for a new baby!!

  39. The fact that you can remove the fabric and wash it in case of spills and throw ups is great. Although I'm apprehensive about the baby liking it if there is no vibration to it. Very curious about it but too nervous to actually make the purchase.

  40. I so wish I had one of these when my kids were little! I love the bouncing feature! I know that my children would have loved it. My daughter loved the baby swing so much and I think she would have loved this even more! My niece is having her first baby and I would love to win this for her. We love so far apart and I didn't even get to go to the baby shower :(

  41. Babysitter Balance Air,: at last manufacturers note that some of us have different needs because of climate!

  42. We just had our second child 4 months ago. He is so huggable and is also held a lot. It would be great to be able to put him down and let him bounce and hang out w/ us and his older brother (3 yrs) so we can all play trains together. We got a basic, inexpensive bouncer and it's okay, but I like that the Babysitter Balance lets your baby sit up a bit more vertically. Would LOVE one of these.

  43. I would love to have a Babysitter Balance. We do not have AC and with summer approaching, it would sure be nice for my little girl. She doesn't have one :(
I also love that it doesn't look like a typical baby bouncer, it's very classy looking. It would look GREAT with my home decor!

  44. This is SO great! I'm a hairstylist who works from home, so it would be great to have a baby-bounced way to entertain baby while he can see me! Our last toy like this just didn't cut it because I or my client had to keep it bouncing :( Baby Bjorn is so great for inventing stuff like this- thanks for giving one away!

  45. What a cute bouncer! I like the retro one because it has proper head and neck support, which is very important for babies. Also, every retro bouncer is unique, which is something you can't get at a discount store. I also like that it is a natural rocking motion.

  46. My sister is pregnant right now and I would live to win this for her! The one she currently has is a hand me down and no where near as nice as the baby bjorn!

  47. I would love to have this bouncer. I have a cheap bouncer and my son hates it. He will only sit in it for about 5 minutes before he gets mad. He likes to sit upright and the one i have he is in a layed down postion and he cant stand it. Love the black one it goes wioth his theme better than the one i have.

  48. I had one of these on my registry but never got it. Too expensive to buy on my own afterward so we've been going without. But this would be so nice to win; if nothing else but to have somewhere safe to set the baby down in.

  49. Love the plum colored one pictured, haven't noticed that model yet. I've looked at the retro printed ones on Gilt.com but just couldn't spend the money for one, used a $18 for my son and $150 is alot to spend on something without trying it out.

  50. I am due with our first on August 8, 2012 and living in "HOTLANTA" the only way to go is the breathable mesh. I love the simplicity of the Baby Bjorn babysitter balance. It looks so light weight too. JUST PERFECT for baby Bella!

  51. I had no idea you could get them in a breathable mesh. I live in SoCal and it gets really hot here too. I have 2 friends expecting and something like this would be perfect for them!

  52. The bouncer has been a necessary item with all of my kiddos, and now that I am expecting #4, I would love to upgrade from our old one. I love the sleek design of this and that it doesn't require batteries!

  53. Just recently found out we are expecting our first baby. We are planning to register for this. We live in a small place where all baby gear will be visible all the time. We love how this is so sleek looking and it gets great reviews.

  54. I have a seven month old and he used to love his bouncy seat but, he has kind of outgrown it. It's actually impossible to keep him in it for more than just a minute. I'm excited to see that they have one that can be used for children up to two years. I'm sure it would suit him so much bettter!

  55. luckily with twins my kids learned they had to be put down early on but I found that the baby equiptment took over my house

  56. I have never seen these. We received a friends bouncer and my daughter loves it. This baby bjorn one looks awesome and the air mesh features makes it look super comfy for baby! I love the purple color as well. I will need to check this out more, I have a few friends who are also pregnant and what a great gift since it comes with a great review from you.

  57. My husband and I are expecting our first and trying to figure out how to fit all the baby gear into our one bedroom apartment. This looks like a great, compact piece of gear that would be a great blessing in our spall space. Thanks so much for these giveaway opportunities!

  58. My baby girl is very high maintenance and lives to be held upright. This seat looks like it would hold her in a position she would like! Our old bouncy is totally worn out from my older kid.

  59. I would love this for my 2 month old boy! He likes to be held all the time - and we like to hold him :) - and we don't have a great place to put him down right now. He is not a big fan of his swing!

  60. You have adorable children! Very cute product too--the design is so sleek. If I won this I would give it to my friend who is expecting (a girl)

  61. My mila never really liked bouncers, only her swings but she mostly likes to be held. I'm thinking she would really like something like this, the purple is super pretty!:)

  62. We used the vibrate function on our bouncer but would much prefer the features of this bouncer to move with the baby!

  63. I don't want to be entered. I have no need for it. I wanted to tell you how precious that picture is of your daughters!

    Janelle

  64. Would love to gift this to a friend who has a "surprise"pregnancy and she had given all of her things away~

  65. bouncers are lifesavers. their own movements cause the bounce and it's funny to watch them be surprised.

  66. It looks like a great product but it is not cheap. I wonder if it is easy to turn it over even though it says safe.

  67. My son loved being in a bouncer when he was tiny, but we had a horrifically garish one. These are so nice looking. We are now expecting baby #2 and certainly can't afford everything we would like. Winning this would be wonderful.

  68. Very sleek looking! I love it! We have three kids and so baby boy #3 has to be put in the swing a lot. I would love to have a bouncy chair to set him in while I make dinner. A change of scenery for a baby gives mom at least 15 minutes, right?!

  69. I love the style of this product and how sleek it is. I currently have a regular bouncer and although it keeps my son happy its rather garish.

  70. We didn't have bouncers when my daughter was a baby. I would have loved one of these. Would like to win one for my sister who is now pregnant. I think she would love it!

  71. I didn't have anything like this for my first child but I would love to use one with the second. I love that plum color.

  72. If you were to ask my husband what his favorite piece of baby gear is he would immediately say the bouncer. He loves that it's so light and easy to transport and that he can have baby with him no matter where he is in the house. He used to place Audrey in it and sit in the front porch reading while Jeremiah rode his bike. Or in the living room while reading a magazine or watching tv. Or would sit Audrey in it during our dinners in the backyard. Definitely getting one for the new baby. Hope I win.

  73. This bouncer looks great. I heard a lot of good things about it. I don't know if I'm willing to spend $150 for one though. The most I ever spent for a bouncer was $50 and I thought that was too much already. Thanks for the chance for winning one!

  74. We're expecting our first this fall so I've been looking at a lot of baby products for our registry. I really like this one because its streamlined and not overly gushy. I like that its also gender-neutral so you could use it for more than one child of different gender. Thanks for the giveaway!

  75. I loved my bouncey seat with my last child, unfortunately it took a crap, because it was used so much. So we are looking for a new one, and I thank you for the chance to win it:)

  76. A good bouncer seat is a lifesaver and a well designed, comfy and stylish one is even better! I love this simple design!

  77. After being used by three kiddos, I don't think our bouncy seat will make it with our fourth due in a few months. I really like the mesh material that this one is made out of and the no frills design.

  78. These are the nicest bouncer seats I've seen! We had a Fisher Price one for our first daughter that was great to put her in while showering or using the bathroom. :-) Now that she's 15 months she likes to climb in it still and just chill and look cute. Love that this one is mesh and has no batteries involved.

  79. These are so cool. I love how it uses the baby's own movement and not batteries! Not only would it entertain them but it would also be great exercise.

  80. Both of my babies loved their bouncy seats. I just can't stand the silly patterns that they generally come in...like a baby is even going to know that he/she is sitting on top of an animal themed seat! I love how simple these are.

  81. Both of my babies loved the bouncy seat. I love that you can move them around the house easily.

  82. Oh, I had no idea Baby Bjorn had a bouncer seat! Looks like the perfect lil seat for my baby Olivia to sit in when she arrives in July!! They are always coming out with new baby gear...love it! Thanks for sharing!

  83. Oh such a sweet photo! It *almost* makes me want to have one more to see that sweet tiny body curled in the arms of my girls. We will settle for a new baby cousin due this fall!

  84. Love carrying my babies as well. Definitely like the no battery option of this. Nothing worse than trying to change the batteries and having to put the baby back in!

  85. I didn't have a bouncer with either of my babies, but I think this would have been a great option. Right now I've got four sisters and SILs that are pregnant, all due within about 6 weeks of each other, and all having boys! I'd love to gift this to one of them!

  86. I loved having a bouncer. I originally (19 years ago) used one that my mom had used, but the cover is worn ... and the two covers that she made for me are worn out, too. I thought I was done, but I just had a baby in March, and would LOVE this for him. What a nice one!

  87. I definitely need this! My baby is only 6 days old and loves to be held. I don't mind one bit since I know how fast this time flies by, but every once in a while, I need to go to the bathroom!

  88. I feel out of touch saying this, but I didn't even know they had things like this! What a great idea and it looks like it would easy to put the baby in and take out. Some things have too many straps or their feet get easily stuck when you are pulling them out.

  89. This is the second blog that I read where this bouncer was raved about. Maybe with the next baby...

  90. My little one loves to be constantly held as well, and I love it too! But this looks perfect for those moments when I need two free hand.

  91. It looks like a great bouncer albeit a little spendy - yikes! Our bouncer was always near the dining room or kitchen until Katherine was about 4mo. Those were the places I needed my arms free. But now that she's sitting up she loves to be perched in her Bumbo where she has a better vantage point of all the action.

  92. This looks like an amazing bouncer! I've never seen it before, but it looks amazing. The breathable fabric in particular looks delightful for a baby born in the summer....which my little boy will be. Would love to have this one!

  93. Our littlest is the same way, if he's not on my chest then he's being held by his daddy or one of his four bigger siblings. We do have a sing, but we don't usually turn it on, so something smaller like this would be nice!

  94. Your girls are beautiful!!! We loved having a bouncy seat with our second. Didn't have one with our first, but it didn't seem as necessary. I would love this one... Some friends have the bjorn bouncy seat and it's awesome.

  95. I can't wait to see my two boys cuddle their baby brother in a couple months like that! We need to replace our bouncy seat. It is one that leans quite far back and after couple kids, it would be nice to replace it. this is one that I love and think would be great for home to be able to see what we are all doing when the little guy arrives. Things are definitely much more busy than they used to be. He is going to want to see what all the noise is about around him:)

  96. I had a Tiny Love bouncer with my first that I gave away when we moved, but I have heard great things about this one. So fun to see pictures of your newest girl!

  97. I love how siblings love their little babies! I'm very excited to see my 5 kiddos love on this new baby! We had a nice rocker that the last few kids used, but I will be in the market for a new "chair" for the new babe! Thanks for the recommendation!

  98. Love the precious picture of your girls!!! (and the bouncer looks nice too :) I've never tried a bouncer before - always had a big bulky swing. Now that it's broken down, I'm ready to try something more compact for baby #4!

  99. Wow I've never seen this! I gave my bouncer to a friend in need last year, so I don't have one for baby #3 yet. Looks great!

  100. I love the look of this product! It is so much more visually appealing than the ones at Target with the crazy designs, etc. That is nice because it would look good (not out of place) almost anywhere in the house! I also like that it bounces with baby's movements - I have never used the vibration button.

  101. Although my kids are a bit big for the bouncer (9 and 7 now!) I have many friends who are pregnant and have kids under 1 year. I would love to be able to give this to one of my girlfriends at her baby shower. I know that her current bouncer is about 7 years old and has gone through a couple of kids already. And the mesh option - awesome for Tucson!!!

  102. The breathable mesh would be awesome here in arizona. My adorable baby gets very hot in his seat. Plus I never use the vibrations. =)

  103. I didn't research bouncers very well before we had our baby- and boy did I learn that not all are created equal. Ours just sits in the corner of the room because our son doesn't like it. Would love to give the "no frills" version a chance!

  104. I haven't seen this product from BabyBjorn yet! It looks like a very sturdy and safe product for babies, even infants! Our second son is 5 months old and I'm always watching older brother when I put him down! Looks like this bouncer would put my mind at ease and I love how modern it looks! And I love that the fabric is removable and washable (not all bouncers are like that!) Thanks for the chance to win!

  105. Oh! I lusted over this bouncer before my first was born...never got it. Now that number 2 is on the way, I'm thinking it would be great! Thanks for the opportunity to win one!

  106. Oh my goodness. I have recently realized that I need to get a bouncer. My second baby is 2 weeks old, and big brother is almost 3 years old, and there are times when I just have to set the baby down for a few! Would love to win this one as it is so classy!

  107. My daughter had a hand me down bouncer and it just recently kicked the bucket! I've heard such great things about the baby bjorn and it would be great to win it!

  108. Eleanor LIVED in her bouncer on the days she was at work with me. I seriously think she spent probably 2-3 hours a day in it in my office. And I was really sad when it fell off the closet shelf and broke a few months ago, because I was saving it for the PFO! (potential future offspring)

  109. Ok. I have the same issue with my kids right now with the new baby - too cute, too many pictures! Onto the balance - we have one from when my 3 yr old was little and LOVE it. Matisse, our 2 month old baby girl, is just big enough to use it now and loves it as well. Our 3 almost 4 yr old was actually reticent to give it up, we had to buy him another chair. He doesn't even fit it correctly, but thats how much he loved it. I would love to win one for our upstairs so i don't have to keep taking the one we have up and down the stairs!

  110. We loved ours, too! I gave it to a friend who's expecting any day now. But if I win, I'll mail it to you, Laura! :)

  111. When Lily was very small she was always in our arms (and even at almost 3 1/2 she still always wants to be held), but I did occasionally need a bouncer. I loved the look of these and the ratings are great, but I couldn't justify the cost for how little she would use it. I'm glad to know that you like it and when #2 comes around I'll keep this one in mind.

  112. Oh, I've been wanting to put one of these on my registry, but was waiting until more important items were purchased first. Would love to win it instead. I'm pretty sure this kid is going to need lots of options in our small apartment so that it can stay active in various ways. Thanks for giving it away!
