BabyBjorn: Preeminent Potty Training Products

BabyBjorn: Preeminent Potty Training Products 1If you have a 1, 2, and/or 3-year-old, then you probably have potty training on your mind.

As you've probably noticed, there are lots of different philosophies/debates out there regarding potty training. We didn't pay much attention to any if them. We just kind of did our own thing. We started casually when our daughter was around 1 1/2 and she has been potty trained since right around her 2nd birthday. You can read a little more about our "potty training story" in a previous post.

BabyBjorn: Preeminent Potty Training Products 2We didn't use any fancy systems, 3-step books, or singing toilets. We just started with a BabyBjorn Potty Chair and a positive attitude - and went from there. Now, we have the chair in one bathroom and a BabyBjorn Toilet Trainer in our second bathroom. That's a nice approach because she can go in either bathroom (she needs help to get seated on the toilet trainer). The potty chair is more convenient because it's just her size and she can go by herself, but the toilet trainer has been a big help in teaching her what it's like to go on "big potties" when we're out and about.

BabyBjorn: Preeminent Potty Training Products 3We also have the BabyBjorn Safe Step, which makes the hand-washing process a lot easier for both me and my daughter. The step makes hand-washing more appealing to my daughter because she can take ownership in the experience. The steps makes hand-washing more appealing for me because I don't have to try to lift her up and scrub her hands at the same time. That is just plain exhausting...especially when you're 4 1/2 months pregnant!

In sum: BabyBjorn makes high-quality, simple, streamlined products for the potty training process. I highly recommend the potty chair, the toilet trainer, and the safe step to parents.

WIN IT! One winner will receive a BabyBjorn Toilet Trainer (apprx. retail value: $29.99) AND a BabyBjorn Safe Step (apprx. retail value: $15.99). To enter, leave a comment on this post prior to Tuesday, October 28 at midnight (don’t forget to follow the rules). * Winner must provide a U.S. mailing address.

*UPDATE* The winner is #111 R Hicks. Congratulations!

  1. Oh, man! I'd almost forgotten about potty training...thanks for reminding me - my 20 month old would have been on his own...

  2. My son and DIL just started trying with their youngest daughter and things aren't going very well. You would think after three others it would be really easy but each child is so different and this one is very independent so I think this is just what she needs. Something she can get excited about because it is her own and she can do it on her own.

    Thanks so much.

  3. My youngest son is my "Peter Pan" child.... does not want to grow up or use the potty. This seat & step would be great for him to use.... wishing upon a star!

  4. I'm getting ready to train my youngest son, and because he sees his big brother use the big potty, he wants nothing to do with the little trainer toilet that we have. This set would be perfect for us! Thank you so much for the great giveaway!

  5. DD is 19 months old, so the time is coming sooner than we think that we will be needing these! Thanks for the chance!

  6. I would absolutely love to win some these potty training essentials for our one year old daughter, thinking about potty training isn't quite on our minds yet, but I know it will be before we know it

thanks for this giveaway, it is something anyone with little ones can use!

  7. If I won this I would save it for when my little one would need it. won't be for awhile since it's not born yet though..lol

  8. With 3 children under the age of three (YIKES), it would be nice to get a few trained and cut back on the expense of diapers. My kids like watching the Elmo's Potty Time DVD, but I'm not sure that it's sinking in.

  9. with 16 month old twins, toilet training has been on my mind a lot lately! Thanks for a great contest!

  10. I need help with my son's potty training. This would be a great win since with the newborn, I'm so tired of changing diapers.

  11. I would love to win this giveaway! I have heard such great things about the Baby Bjorn potty training products.

  12. We are slowly introducing the potty training to my 18 month old daughter so all of this would come in handy. She understands the concept of going in the toilet, but she wants to imitate her older brother and pee while standing up! She will go and stand next to the toilet and then pee on the floor. I guess we'll have our work cut for us!

  13. I had never seen this before. I've been dreading the dumping of little toilet but this looks so easy. If I don't win it's going on my Christmas list!

  14. Going through potty training right now, and I would love that step stool, because to wash her hands, my baby climbs on the toilet and leans over, which worries me because a couple years ago, my son climbed up there, slipped and hit the corner of the sink and had to get 8 stitches in his forehead.

  15. This is just what I need to keep at my house for my little grandson. I babysit him every day and it is hard to transport his potty chair back and forth. Thanks for the giveaway!

  16. Wow- that potty trainer looks really great! We are just starting to potty train our daughter and this would be so wonderful. Thanks for the chance to win.

  17. How lovely...the colors are so rich. Children will be attracted to it. Parents, like me, will go for the sturdy design and quality we know of Baby Bjorn. I'd love to have this.

  18. We're just starting potty training with my youngest Son who turns 2 in another week. He's
just getting the idea but still isn't ready to go all out yet but will be soon.

  19. If we had these, it would have been a lot easier training my youngest son (he was stubborn). I absolutely love the step stool. I think this is something that kids of all ages could use

  20. While we aren't ready to potty train quite yet, the day will be here soon enough. This would be a tremendous help.

  21. Both of these products appeal to me because they are simple and sleek. No bells and whistles. Our little niece, who is almost 17 months old, would certainly like to try any one of these pottys.

  22. We'll be needing these before we know it! I bet the child-friendly colors will make "sitting on the potty" more appealing!

  23. My little girl is 13 months old and I plan to introduce the potty in a couple of months. One of her christmas presents is actually going to be a potty chair so these would be great to use with it. Thanks so much for the giveaway.

  24. Potty training still scares me and I know I’m going to have to face it soon. This would make the whole experience easier. I like the look of that toilet trainer.

  25. My potty training days are over but my sister wants to start as soon as she can, I've never heard of such a thing but at her AP parenting group, that's what many mom's have done - with great success!

  26. We were blessed with a nanny who toilet trained our daughter in one week flat (I'm pretty sure our genius genes helped in that endeavor). But now that we are on our own, these items look perfect for helping get our son on the right track. Can you go wrong with a Baby Bjorn product?

  27. The toliet trainer looks very useful. Our son wasn't trained until he was three, and we let him decide when he was ready. This would have helped, though!

  28. We are in the potty training process now,an I am watching my grandson while his mom works,so I need something for my house,I have to lift him up an down all day off the toliet, this would sure help, thanks for the chance

  29. We did the cold-turkey switch to underpants and I think that works best. Bring the kid to the toilet often whether they need to go or not, and sometimes they'll go and soon make the connection. And be patient, there will be wet floors sometimes.
We'd love to win this set for my niece though.

  30. This would be great for my son. He is 16 months old and potty training time is just right around the corner. We don't know where to start! Also, I've heard the Baby Bjorn has the best pottys. Thank you for the wonderful contest.

  31. There are some things you need to buy brand new with your second child...this is one. I'd love a new potty set for my youngest...we haven't started yet but that time will be here before ya know it!

  32. The Baby Bjorn Toliet Trainer is GREAT! We had one with our first, and it fits securely even on our elongated toilet seats. Our son felt more secure sitting on the big boy potty when there was no "wiggle." It also has a curve up front, rather than a shield that can pinch or scrape. It's one-piece design makes it easy to clean, too. I never thought I'd have such strong opinions about potties - but I've actually shown this product off to people!

We'd love to have one for our downstairs bathroom, so we're not running up the stairs to use the designated bathroom all the time! Oh - and it's really nice not to have to clean out a little potty, too!

  33. Boy we could really use this. My little boy will be 3 in December and doesn't want any part of the potty. I like the idea of the stool. That way he could get up on the potty himself. Thanks for the great giveaway.

  34. Would love to win this prize for our church nursery - we need these products for the safety of our children but can not afford them. Thank you for such a great contest and priZe!

  35. This would be perfect for us - we are getting ready to buy a potty to start training my little girl! She also loves to wash her hands in teh big bathroom sink but it's hard to hold her up with one arm & try to wash her hands at the same time!! I need a stool lol!

  36. Babybjorn products are the best. My grandson is ready to start training and this product would be the best way for him to learn.

  37. I love the babybjorn potty products. OK, that felt slightly weird to write. But, I do! They are awesome. good quality. no moving pieces. no places to catch extra pee or poo besides the appropriate place. they are awesome. I speak from experience. Please, more would only make my life easier!

  38. Well my daughter will soon be at that age and this look really cool. My son was so easy to potty train but we'll see how the little girl taekes to it. =) Thanks for a great prize. T

  39. My little man just turned two Saturday and hasn't shown much interest in his potty chair. A friend of mine just suggested trying one of these potty seats...It would be such a treat to win this! Thanks for the chance!

  40. My little girl is still a bit young but this would be great for when any of the 3 nephews that are in the 2-3 age range come over.

  41. My 2 year old granddaughter is just starting to be trained-she has her good days and her not-so-good days! Both of these products would be very useful!

  42. It's funny how Americans keep children longer in diapers than any other country. I remember my mother telling me that my cousin was out of diapers at nine months. My brother and I were out of diapers at a little over a year old. In Germany, were my mother's family is, they start potty training as soon as they can sit with very positive results.

  43. Oh, potty training...it can be easy or hard. A lot depends on the child but more depends on consistancy and time that parents use to train their baby. My 22 month old granddaughter spends a lot of time at Grandma's house and a potty chair here would be a big plus when her Mommy is ready to start that hurdle.

  44. Count me in, toilet training is.....so much fun =) There is pee everywhere in my bathroom currently!!

  45. I'm completely in love with the toilet trainer because I'm embarrased to say that after 2 years of changing diapers I'm still squeamish about the idea emptying out a bucket of "stuff." Hope I win! Thanks for the chance.

  46. Potty training is so much fun! We are taking cues from our son and just beginning this process. These would be huge "helpers" to get our bathroom ready.

  47. We are in the middle of potty training and use a chair that is very tippy. I've had more than one spill when the girls leaned too far forward while going.

I'd love to have a seat that fits on the big potty.

  48. Ah the day is fast approaching where I need to do this again. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!! Thank you for the chance to win :-)

  49. Would love to have one of these to keep at my house when babysitting the grandkids (girl - 17 months and already starting potty training, boy - 1 year and not nearly ready yet).

  50. Thank you so much for this giveaway. I'd love to win this for my son. It's a little too soon for Potty training yet, but it'll be here before I know it. (and I'm looking forward to no more diapers. Yeah!) Thanks so much and please enter me.

  51. I really really really need this. My son is so close to potty trained but just can't make that final push to accomplish it. This would be great to get him there.

  52. Mikayla was such an easy kid and pretty easy potty trainer - it took awhile but that is because for awhile we were only training her at home not while she was in daycare. I would love this with Lily because we will be potty training in about 1 1/2 years - if Lily's attitude now is anything like the future she will be much harder to train.

  53. My daughter is 13 months, and we aren't quite there for Potty Training yet...but I know we will be soon. I've bought Potty Books to kind of introduce the whole idea to her, I just hope that she's easier to train than my son! :)

  54. I've got the anatomically correct doll. I've got the potty training video. But my little stubborn 3 year old still will have nothing to do with potty training. Maybe this cool looking potty would be the final thing I need to acheive potty training success.

  55. I'd love to win this.

While my son only recently turned one, I know that potty training will have to occur eventually. I dread the thought, though! I've been thinking about buying a little potty and just leaving it in the bathroom for him to get used to, but I like the idea of having something that fits right on our "big" toilet, too. Clever!

  56. I love it. The Baby Bjorn potty chair and stool are classy and adorable. Our granddaughter will be ready for potty training soon after the holidays and I would love to give this to her for Christmas. I think Mommy would like it too.

  57. I have two under the age of two, that is many diapers now, and not so many in about a year or so. This would help with the Mommy sanity! (I could give my old ugly one to their dad :) )

  58. We love our Baby Bjorn potty chair and would love to have the potty trainer for our second bathroom as well as the stool for hand washing. Baby Bjorn stuff is fabulous! Thanks for a great giveaway.

  59. I could use an incentive to get on the potty training band wagon. My 2 year old is my third child and I'm exhasted with it and baby #4 is due in 3 wks. Thanks for the entry.

  60. My son needs all the help that he can get in the potty training arena. He just doesn't want to do it and I think that the step stool would really help him out.

  61. The step stool is critical! I hate having to pick them up and pull them off the potty every single time. This is one area of my child's growing independence that I simply won't cry over.

  62. I just told my mother that I wouldn't have wanted to be without several of my Bjorn products when S. was little. Would be fun to win these for a dear little niece.

  63. We are right on the cusp of potty training. Our 2 year old has had little interest so far, though. I am so jealous that yours been potty trained so long!

  64. I just saw these in babies r us this week (they are on sale) I love the design, they actually look like they might not look dumb in my nice modern bathroom!

  65. wow, I guess I am awful becaue as soon as they can waddle they are learning to go potty..too lazy and cheap to wash or buy diapers I guess

  66. This would be wonderful to have, we are in the process of potty training our 2 year old son!

    Thanks for the great giveaway

  67. My little one (20 months) has started to show signs of potty training readiness and I've been the one that's been too lazy to seriously start it. Maybe winning this will give the kick in the butt I need. =)

  68. Potty training still scares me and I know I'm going to have to face it soon. This would make the whole experience easier. I like the look of that toilet trainer.

  69. My son, Cameron, is two in a half and fully potty trained. He has begun to favor the toilet over his potty(his aim is better when using it as well). However, he has to balance himself on our toilet to keep from falling in and he could really use the toilet trainer. I think it makes him feel like one of the big kids when he uses our toilet.

  70. My son is starting to tell us when he needs to go "poop." Happy day! We're grateful for the warning. So we'd like to experiment with his newfound self-awareness and begin to introduce him to the importance (and necessity!) of the potty. The BabyBjorn trainer potty and step stool would certainly help.

  71. Ooh, that's nice! We have a potty chair, but not a toilet trainer, and we'll need another step stool as soon as Cheeks graduates to a big girl bed. Thanks for showing us!

  72. My son is almost two and it is about that time. I would love to use the Bjorn! Thanx for the giveaway.

  73. We are 2 down 2 to go in the potty training department here, but I never used a potty chair... just used one of the seats that goes on the toilet itself. I'd love to give one of these a try!

  74. The day will be coming soon to start potty-training with my 21 month old... The Bjorn Potty Trainer looks really handy - I like not having to dump out the little potty!
