Because Black Never Goes Out Of Style

maggie maternity logoPregnancy "only" lasts nine months.

Thus, it's hard to justify buying an entirely new wardrobe for such a short span of time. I prefer to buy a few fantastic maternity items that I can wear all nine months with ease.

maggie maternity classic maggie boxThat's why Maggie Maternity's Classic Maggie Box ($195) is so ingenious. It consists of four pieces - a skirt, a pair of pants, a 3/4 sleeve shirt, and a tank - all in black. Each piece is simple, classic, and incredibly soft. No frills...but also no "frump."

figure tee maggie maternityI especially love the Figure Tee ($60, if purchased "alone"). The sleeve length is flattering, the rounded neckline is pretty, and the shirt is long enough to cover my burgeoning belly. I actually wore it in our family Christmas photo this year and I've worn it to several parties too, not to mention all of the other times I've worn it as part of my regular "work week."

The tank is nice for warm weather and/or layering...and the skirt is great if you're the skirt-wearing type during pregnancy (I prefer jeans/pants because I have a toddler to chase and I'm constantly getting up and down, which is hard to do gracefully at almost 30 weeks pregnant). The pants are comfy and great for lounging around the house, but I personally prefer a more structured trouser for "going out" (whether to a work meeting or to dinner with my husband).

All of the items are made of the same stretchy material and can easily be dressed up or down, depending on your choice of accessories and shoes. You'll like these pieces equally if you're in corporate America or if you're at home with your toddler. And you'll definitely wear them often - from that first positive test result to postpartum. I expect that I'll wear these pieces even after baby #2 makes her debut in March...

  1. Following my exploration, billions of people all over the world receive the loan from different banks. So, there's good chances to find a student loan in any country.

  2. I would definitely go with the Summer box living here in So. California. I sooo agree with you about not buying a ton of maternity clothes. I see so many really cute clothes but I think...I'm only going to wear them for a very short time, particularly because I didn't even start wearing maternity clothes with my son until the second trimester. If I could get away with a few pieces that would be awesome!

  3. This makes being pregnant even sweeter! It's so wild finding the perfect maternity clothes and this so simplifies everything in a magical box!

Thanks so much for this give~away! : )))

  5. I am entering this for my niece. She and her husband and just starting out so money is tight. This would really make her feel special to have this nice wardrobe.

  6. I just love those pants! Awesome nice comfy colthes like these are my favorite to wear.
They are great even after you give birth.

  7. I want to win this for my sister. She is pregnant with her first baby and just got laid off from her job. This would be an awesome blessing for her...her clothes are not fitting anymore!

  8. This is perfect, I've been looking everywhere for a set like this in black. It will make getting ready for work SOOOO much easier.

  9. These remind me of the simple interchangeable pieces that Donna Karan came out with in the 70's-classic and comfortable!

  10. What a great giveaway! I am so sick of wearing my husband's shirts and would love my own set of great fitting and amazing looking maternity clothes.

  11. Just found out my niece is pregnant with her first baby. She certainly will need some comfortable classy looking clothing as she continues working as long as she is able.. Thanks for the chance to give her a start in her first maternity clothing..

  12. i am having my third child and as i opened my box of maternity clothes i got very sad because there are so few and they seem to be out of date.

  13. Trying to find basic pieces that flatter for work has been difficult. This definitely looks like it could work. Thanks for the giveaway!

  15. This Classic Maggie Box is truly an amazing way to create a number of different "looks" and outfits with just a few basic pieces. It is a must have for any mother to be. The clothing items look ultra stylish and above all super comfortable. I would love to have this simply for all the versatility and style that is offers. Thank you so much for the opportunity to enter!

  16. This is a wonderful basic wardrobe, especially if you do not wish to spend a fortune on a maternity wardrobe. These basics carry you thru looking chic and put together and they change up every time you switch accessories. Brilliant!

  17. my best friend could really use this so she wouldnt have to buy as many clothes, husband is on temporary layoff and I know this would make her day

  18. I held off as long as I could on buying maternity clothes, but I"m at 30 weeks too and the wardrobe is getting desparate! Sometimes I wonder who is designing maternity clothes these days. Sticky polyester, pants that are waaaay too long, jeans that won't stay up, horizontal stripes on everything. I'm especially interested in the skirt. Thanks!

  19. I love the trousers! The tank would come in handy for the warm AZ weather too! All of it looks very preg figure flattering.

  20. I would love to win this! I can't afford to buy too many maternity clothes but am getting bigger every day!

  21. This looks great. Sometimes it's so hard to put a lot of energy into what to wear while you are pregnant, but it makes a big difference in your mood to feel good about yourself. Something like this would be great for looking good easily :)

  22. What a wonderful giveaway. As Thoreau said, "Simplify, simplify, simplify." And this prize would definitely help with that goal! Thanks for the chance to win it!

  23. this is great as staples....one can use the other stuff that already exists in the closet to stretch their wardrobe for as long as possible

  24. Theselook wonderful. I have so much trouble finding decent looking maternity clothes. Black is my favorite clothes color. This would give me something to wear on every occasion.

  25. I'm just starting to show and desperately need something like this to cover my rapidly expanding belly! Thank you for the contest, Maggie Maternity looks awesome.

  26. I saw this blogged somewhere else too and entered to win, but no luck, maybe better this time around =)

  27. My sister has a friend who could really use these having a third baby and they lost everything a few years ago... She could use a break

  28. The Maggie Box sounds just great, and it's good to know that people care about prospective moms! I'd like size Large please!

  29. All these pieces look wonderful, and the shirts especially. They look like they are a nice length - too-short maternity shirts are a great pet peeve!

  30. After having 5 kids wearing the cheapest and not best-looking maternity clothes, it would be wonderful to have beautiful ones for a change.

  31. My Daughter in law is pregnant with our first grandchild and this would be perfect for her. I love the material and they look good on.

  32. This would be a wonderful gift for my daughter-in-law. Wish they had made clothes like this when I had my 6 children.

  33. An excellent idea (and excellent prize). This is a great way to build a total maternity wardrobe with just the additional of a few pieces.

  34. Just found out I'm 7 weeks pregnant. Each pregnancy my size has fluctuated so much (and it's been different seasons) so I'll need some new maternity pieces. This line looks so comfortable! I can't stand anything tight fitting around my waist - I'd love this!

  35. man oh man, I'd love to win! I'm 23 weeks along with my first, so I am really just now needed to wear more and more maternity clothes. I would look so much better at work if I won! :) Thanks so much!

  36. What a wonderful set! This is every pregnant woman's dream! And the sizing is flattering...I never could tell someone that I was a size "3"!! LOL!

  37. This really is a genius idea. Why do so many maternity clothes go crazy with patterns or large-tent-like-frumpyness in cut? I wore a lot of my normal clothes for a while (either they stretched, or they were wrap type, etc), with some a few maternity items (jeans, undershirts, etc). This would totally help my wardrobe though for baby #2. I love this put together box of black basics, esp. the pencil skirt. Too cute.

  38. What a great idea to sell a 'starter' set of maternity clothes. I am pregnant and could really use more clothes that fit right and make me feel good about my expanding body.

  39. Clearly I am hoping for a second pregnancy soon since I can't stop commenting on all of your pregnancy items :) This really is a great concept though, and I'll have to remember it!

  40. What a great concept. I've just started looking for cute maternity clothes again and this looks like a great starter piece (since I borrowed all my clothes last time from my sister in law who moved across the country).

  41. No need for maternity clothes is one of the many overlooked blessings of adoption. But my little sister is newly pregnant, and I'd love to win this for her.

  42. For those of us who just don't wanna shop, a complete *comfortable* pregnancy wardrobe in a box is pretty much perfect.

  43. This would be perfect for my sister. She is having her 2nd child - 8 years after her first and she definitely needs these great clothes.
