If you're looking for a party dress for your little girl, a perfectly preppy suit for your toddler boy, or winter clothes for your tween...do walk your fingers straight over to thredUP.com.

BONUS GIVEAWAY: $20 Credit to thredUP 1

The San Francisco-based start-up has become a favorite children's clothing spot for our family. The gently used clothing items are available in sizes 12M-20 - and come neatly packaged in tissue paper and a cardboard box.

Overall, I would say the prices are comparable to buying new on a discounted rack at Target, JCPenney, Kohl's, or Sears - EXCEPT that the clothes are from better brands (meaning they're often cuter and will probably hold up longer).

Examples?

I recently scored this adorable brown David Charles dress, with petticoat for $11.49. Our 3-year-old has received a million compliments about the detailing. David Charles dresses typically retail for $100-$500 EACH.

For everyday wear, I picked up this pair of like-new Calvin Klein Leggings, also for my 3-year-old. $3.99.

My one shopping tip is that you have to make quick decisions! When I bookmark items to "come back to them later," they're almost always gone. Since there is only one of every item, things move through the site very quickly!

  1. I usually find our items from the local Consignment sale - but I've been browsing ThredUP because I love the concept and I don't find everything I need here locally!

  2. I love ThredUp - I haven't shopped yet, but we've already sent in 2 bags, so we have a nice amount waiting in our account to buy some new duds for spring!

  3. I've never actually tried ThreadUp because I was wondering how nice the clothes really are. However, that dress you pictured is gorgeous and makes me want to maybe change my mind!

  4. i've never used ThreadUp - but I am intrigued....with a closet full of baby girl clothes that no longer fit my youngster AND a baby boy on the way there are a lot of items I can trade in and a LOT of items we desperately need for our little guy!

  5. I just went to their website looking for winter dresses but mostly it was summer dresses - but I can understand. Cute clothes for good prices. I will check this out some more.

  6. I haven't participated in ThredUp because I really don't have anything to trade in. I pass along all my daughter's clothes to my sister, and my boys clothes come from her son. I'll have to look into the option of buying only.
