Cavity-Free...Yippee!

philips sonicare flexcare with sanitizerI went to the dentist two weeks ago for a cleaning and check-up. Our dentist is a jolly older man with laughter in his voice and a propensity toward seeing things positively (which is actually quite rare for dentists I've heard...).

Anyway, he said my teeth look wonderful. My gums are a bit inflamed from being pregnant, but that's about it.

I attribute that "diagnosis" - in large part - to my toothbrush: the Philips Sonicare FlexCare with Sanitizer.

This brush is powerful! It cleans and scrubs and massages...and it has been proven to reduce Gingivitis in just 2 weeks. It features 3 brushing modes and a timer (choose between a 3-minute MaxCare routine or a 1-minute GoCare routine). Plus, the brush comes with TWO heads and a UV sanitizer (which also serves as a place to store heads when not in use). On a more superficial note, the FlexCare is stylish and sleek-looking and it's lightweight as well. The only downside of the brush is that it is a little on the "loud" side...that motor really whirs away as it works.

I am absolutely convinced that buying/using a better toothbrush improves dental hygiene. Better dental hygiene equals healthier teeth which translates into fewer trips to the dentist and fewer cavities...which translates to better health and more money in my pocket!

Retailing for between $130-$150, the brush IS on the pricey side. That said, it's a product I use multiple times per day, every day. And it improves my quality of life.

WIN IT! One winner will receive a Philips Sonicare FlexCare with Sanitizer. To enter, leave a comment on this post prior to Monday, February 16 at midnight (Don’t forget to follow the rules…all generic comments like “Enter me!,” “Love it,” and “Cool stuff!” will be disqualified.). * Winner must provide a U.S. mailing address.

*UPDATE* The winner is #285 Alan H. Congratulations!

  1. I to have recently went to the dentist thanks to my well care it was my secound visit ever and I have great teeth no cavities just gums were bleeding cause I am pregnant, only problem I have these two smaller teeth and thankfully the dentist said he would help me out cause I have such nice teeth, I got lucky and Im so excited thanks for the contest.

  2. I would love to win this for my husband. He only brushes for about 30 seconds at a time, and I think the timing feature would help him brush longer.

  3. I am using the disposable battery powered toothbrush currently but am worried about throwing all those batteries into a landfill. I have tried electric toothbrushes in the past but was not satisfied with the vibrating my brain loose feeling. I would love to try this one.

  4. Thanks for the giveaway...The UV sanitizer incorporated into the brush storage is a great feature; I currently have an Oral-B Triumph that is about four years old: cracked case from one too many drops on the tile floor & which has a very loud buzz when in use...If I use it too early in the morning before my wife gets up, she yells at me to brush with a manual brush !!!

  5. Wanna trade teeth? Sheesh. I can brush and floss seven times a day, AND swish with fluoride, and still end up with a dark spot on my xray. Maddening! I hope I win and this works before I end up with dentures.

  6. I have a dentist appoint coming up next month and hopefully everything is good. My dentist is also a very positive man.

I've always wanted a great electric toothbrush.

  7. This looks great! If I won I would definitely give this to my husband. He brushes with a regular toothbrush and he always has cavities and other teeth/mouth problems. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  8. I would absolutely love to win this toothbrush. I have been wanting to get an automatic toothbrush for several years now and this one looks great. I think it would do such a great job cleaning my teeth. This is a great giveaway. Thanks.

  9. I am too suceptible to cavities and i never get to the dentist as often as I like. I've been looking for one of these, and people keep reccommending them. I love that they time your teeth brushing so you know how long is enough

  10. I've never used anything to brush my teeth other than a regular toothbrush. I always figured electric toothbrushes exaggerated their potential. [Well, the toothbrush itself didn't exaggerate...it was the advertising behind it.] Anyway, after reading more closely about the features of the Philips Sonicare Flexcare, I'm thinking maybe I'm not giving these types of toothbrushes a fair evaluation.

  11. We've never owned an electri toothbrush before.
I bet the kids would love it & make brushing their teeth more fun & not just a chore!

  12. The 2 heads and the UV sanitizer are great and this is something I'd really really really love to have and use so please enter me and thank you much! skyxsky27(at)gmail.com

  13. My son is horrible at brushing his teeth. I think this would help and he would love it since he has been asking for a toothbrush like daddy's!

  14. I have not taken the plunge out of the manual toothbrushes yet. I need something that help ease the transition. Thank you

  15. I have been using a cybersonic cleaning system for more than 6 years and I would love to try the philips sonicare. It probably works better.

  16. As I get older, I am starting to have problems with my teeth. This would be such a welcome asset. Thanks for the chance!

  17. i feel like no matter what i do every time i go to the dentist i have a cavity. i always ask, 'how many?' perhaps if i ditched the manual and got an electric i would get better results...

  18. my dentist believes in this product and is constantly trying to sell one to me when i go in for my check ups/cleaning. i would love to own one, but can't afford the purchase at this time...

  19. I have never owned an electric toothbrush and at the rate hte economy is right now I might never, unless of course I win.

  20. I have looked at this toothbrush before in the store but cannot afford to spend $150. I love the fact that it comes with 2 heads and a UV sanitizer.

  21. This electric toothbrush sounds great. My dentist always has something negative to say about my teeth and gums during my checkups, so maybe if I won this toothbrush the comments would change.

  22. I currently use an electric toothbrush but is isn't as nice as this one...mine was $20. This would be quite an improvement over the one I currently use. Thanks for the great contest!

  23. Ok my hubby brought an electric toothbrush not as nice as this one and he loves it... However, he said it takes getting use to the tingle and tickle of the brushing... So after his lovely review I have been looking and wondering if I could get use to an electric brush after years of manual toothbrushes... If I did this one has features that are WOW

  24. wow this looks like a great toothbrush i have only tried the crest spinbrush and i did not like it.but this looks very powerful :)

  25. It's funny that you're talking about this because I went to see my dentist a few weeks ago and he told me I brush way too hard and my gums are starting to recede (not a ton but enough to be noticeable). I want so badly to have cavity-free teeth that I think I go overboard. He actually suggested this toothbrush....

  26. I have loved my Sonicare for several years now, but it is time to move on to a new one. I have trouble finding the heads that fit my old model, and I'd love an upgrade with the sanitizer.

  27. I have tried a couple of cheaper electric toothbrushes and wasn't very happy with them. Perhaps I'll have to bit the bullet and go for a better one. The UV sanitizer sounds really nice as well.

  28. I recently started having trouble with receding gum lines, which my dentist has suggested could be the result of brushing too aggresively! lol She recommended I try an electric toothbrush instead, but I can't afford anything that I don't absolutely have to buy. Money is just too tight. I'd love to have the luxury of treating my teeth and gums with a little well deserving respect! I haven't had a cavity in 20 years, but my gums aren't fairing nearly as well.

Thanks for the opportunity to enter! wendy2lindsey(at)yahoo(dot)com

  29. The technology of this makes this a marvel. Teeth are alive and deserve the best, which is this. I've wanted one these are so long and the improvement to my teeth and gums would be just like having a mini dental office right at my finger tips.

  30. Wow!! I feel like a needle in a haystack around here! I used to have a Sonicare, but the charger went out, & I haven't been able to re- purchase one. That's probably why I have a bad tooth!
I can say that the one I had was amazing & I always had a clean bill of dental health while I used it.

  31. I just spent a small fortune at the dentist and could really use something like this great toothbrush. My checkbook and dentist would like it too.

  32. Our dentist AND daughter's orthodontist both recommended this for us, but it's a bit out of our price range right now. Maybe this would convince my boy to brush more often...

  33. I have a sonicare toothbrush, but it's one of the first electronic ones and I don't know how much longer it will hold on, definitely on it's last leg since it doesn't hold a charge anymore. It's amazing how far the electronic toothbrushes have come since then!

  34. My mother has this toothbrush and just loves it and swears by it. I would love to win this. Thanks for the giveaway.

  35. I would LOVE to try this. My gums are receding and an electric toothbrush would definitely help, but other models that I've tried had disgusting buildup. The santizer function of this toothbrush sounds amazing!

  36. I would love to use this for my almost 5 year old son's teeth. He is not able to use a manual toothbrush well enough to get his teeth clean. Thanks for the chance!

  37. Thanks so much for the generous giveaway...I would be SO thrilled to win! I currently use an Oral B sonic toothbrush -- but it doesn't seem to do as good of a job as I had expected.

  38. I have always wanted a Sonicare. My best friend has one and loves it. The price is worth it for the benefits for your mouth.

  39. My dentist, whom I love with a passion, highly recommends a good quality electric toothbrush, and if I indeed won this gem of a jewel, he'd be so proud of me! : ))) There's nothing "sweeter" than having healthy teeth!

Thanks so much for this fabulous give~away! : )))

    leahita[at]gmail[dot]com

  40. I have a SonicCare Elite, which is a VERY old model, it is about 8 years old. I LOVE IT, although it is just about coming to the end of it's dear old life. I am known in my circle as the Tooth NUT! For Birthday Presents all my friends have received a Sonicare! My Dentist and Hygienist love me because when I go in for my 6 month check-ups, there is NOTHING to scrape! YES, this is a VERY valuable tool in dental health and hygiene. I could not live without my Sonicare, and that is why I am entering to win another one.

  41. I could really use one of these, I have a lot of problems with my teeth and gums right now, and I FEAR totally fear the dentist, although I have to go in soon because I have to get some wisdom teeth pulled which I am so scared to go do. I could use this to help me keep my teeth at their very best, before and after my wisdom tooth extraction.

    Thanks.

  42. We spend a lot of time talking to our kids about taking care of their teeth and having a sonicare would help to show them that we (parents) think it's important for us too. I have never used more than a regular toothbrush, and would love the chance to win this!

  43. I have never owned an electric toothbrush. I'd like to try one as my gums are beginning to recede. Hopefully, using this would slow the receding process down.

  44. I love electronic toothbrushes. My dentist has really noticed a difference since I started using one. I'd like to give one to my husband, too.

  45. I have been buying the cheaper battery operated ones that are not as good. All the money I've spent on those I could have had a sonicare already! Oh well, would love to win. Thanks!

  46. I just had to throw my electric toothbrush away. I have strep throat and I don't have the money to buy the replacement heads for it so I threw it out. I could really use a new one. lol Thank you!

  47. Ugh I know my (& my fam's) teeth are so important and we take care of them, but its hard to make them a priority and I would loooove to spoil my teeth by brushing them with this beauty! ahahha thanks!

  48. I would love to try this - somehow all the little diva's end up with the good toothbrushes and I keep getting the $15 throw-aways... if I win it will definitely be mama's turn.

  49. My oral b brush just stopped after a year, what a waste. The Sonicare is such a better system. It would be great to win. Thanks.

  50. these are really nice, top of the line toothbrushes. I have been wanting one after I have been hearing how great they are.

  51. My husband is a toothbrush fanatic. For our anniversary I got him fancy toothpaste and now he's addicted. I'm sure he'd go hog wild for this.

  52. I have always wanted to try a "fancy" toothbrush. I want to feel the difference in brushing with and without it.

    txhottie_86 at yahoo dot com

  53. My 10 and (almost) 12 year old grandsons share a bathroom. And a toothbrush holder. EEWWW! LOL :) I really like the idea of the brushes being sanitized. Great for boys! Thanks! :)

  54. I would love to win this toothbrush, I've tried electric ones but they just don't seem to do the job. This one looks great.

  55. Nice Toothbrush! I spend a half hour doing teeth a night. Maybe this will speed up some of that time. Thank you for the offering!

  56. This would be a fantastic prize to win. We've been wanting one for a long time but just haven't had the funds to spend on it.

  57. I would love to win this for my 4 year old son, this would definitely encourage him to brush his teeth more and cut down on cavities

  58. I would love this toothbrush for my hubby. He is so good at brushing and flossing but still seems to get cavities so maybe this would help:) Thanks!

  59. While I've never used one of these 'newfangled' toothbrushes, I could certainly use one! My stepfather was a dentist and he told me once that if he had to choose between flossing and brushing he would floss. So, my advice, after getting a good brush, remember to floss!

  60. I would really love to win this. I have an electric toothbrush but I don't have a really nice one for my husband. It would be great for us both to have one.

  61. I used to have a really good electric toothbrush that I had for years. If you spend the money you can get one that will really last you a while.

  62. I've wanted to have a good electric toothbrush but just haven't been able to make the investment. This one looks like one of the best.

  63. ii could really use a high tech tooth brush like this. I never think i get all the little nooks and crannies in my mouth, this would certainly help!

  64. I've never had one of these but heard an awfully lot about them. I'd love to try one- my poor teeth sure need it!

  65. I need a new tooth brush but I am overwhelmed with the multitude of choices. I would love to win this one since I've heard all good things about it.

  66. Gosh, I have been looking for one of these just recently. I am so tired of the old manual brush and this one might encourage me to brush more often!

  67. I like that the Philips Sonicare FlexCare that adapts to your oral care needs and it is a Green product. This is definitely worth buying.

    Thank you!

    janetfaye (at) gmail (dot) com

  68. I have one similar to this and I love it! I would love for my husband to have one of these ... and his teeth could really use it, too!!!

  69. I use a manual toothbrush, and I have no dental insurance yet so this would be so wonderful to have! Thank you for the chance.

  70. I hate the dentist at 37 my mom still goes with me. This would be a great toothbrush to keep my experience at the dentist pleasant and to a minimal. plus I love the sanitizer because I am crazy about cleaning my toothbrush. Thanks.

  71. This sounds really great! I didn't know there WAS such a thing and the idea of the UV sanitizer makes me really want this! Thanks!

  72. This type of tooth brush should be the only kind that are in the stores. It works and everyone should have one. Throw out the old kind and get one a.s.a.p.! Thanks for having this!

  73. This would be very helpful to me. I cannot afford to buy this on my own. I know this would help me brush my teeth and tongue better. Thanks!

  74. I would love, love, love to win this! I have a cheap sonic toothbrush, and it's amazing. The Sonicare is supposed to be the best though.

  75. I've heard that these toothbrushes are much better for your teeth. Anything I can do to improve my dental health I'll try.

  76. Thanks for another awesome giveaway! There's nothing better then receiving something to help you with your pearly whites! Especially something that will make the task of keeping them white, that much easier and quicker!

  77. I would love to try this toothbrush!! Anything has got to be better than the one I have now! Thanks for the contest!

    chrisandamyward(at)comcast(dot)net

  78. I've been buying those Pulsars that are battery operated and run out of steam in a month. Would love to win one of these!

  79. I've read that these are great, and my dentist always recommend them. I haven't had a power brush in a number of years...make that decades.

  80. This toothbrush seems to be a dream. I am a huge believer in good hygiene, especially with my mouth. I wouldn't be able to afford this at the moment, although I am sure it is worth every penny. I will take my chances and enter though.
    Thanks for the opportunity!

  81. My gums have not been doing so well during this pregnancy so winning this would be great. I would love to take the best care of teeth that I can.

  82. I have always wanted one of these! I have an older power tooth brush and its getting old plus its the round head and i would like a more traditional brush head.

  83. I have wanted one of these, but haven't been able to justify the expense so far, so I keep scrubbing away with my regular toothbrush. It would be GREAT to win one!

    Thanks for a great giveaway!!

  84. I love to eat, and want to always be able to eat with my own teeth, so know it is really important to take good care of my teeth, this sould be a great help.

  85. I love my electric toothbrush, but about 6 years old, the toothbrush is a bit nasty and I really love the fact that this one sanitizes it. Clean teeth are something that is very important to me.

I would love to win this!

  86. My BF's girls were never encouraged to take care of their teeth and we're paying for it now. A dentist recommended this exact toothbrush. I would love to win this and give it to them, hopefully eliminating future dental issues.

  87. I have been wanting to try this toothbrush for ages! It is very highly recommended by my dentist! It would be wonderful to have good news at the dentist!

  88. Redefine clean; With FlexCare features; Now there's a guaranteed way to better oral health. It's the new Philips Sonicare FlexCare that adapts to your oral care needs.

Wow - I would love to win one of these - I just got my teeth cleaned and I am sure this would help me keep my teeth healthy.

  89. I gave this toothbrush to my son last Christmas and now I would love to have one for me. It is great at cleaning and keeping teeth white too.

  90. I hate the dentist, but I am fortunate enough to have been blessed with good teeth. Still, I certainly would love a great product like this!

  91. I put off the dentist for a long time until recently. Now I am setting an example for the kids. Except everyone has battery toothbrushes (they do pretty good) and I have a regular old toothbrush, so what a nice treat for ME this would be! This prize is better than that treasure chest full of prizes at the dentist office!
    harmonden[at]wowway[dot]com

  92. When I first moved away from home I went for some time between oral hygiene check-ups (measured in years). My dentist said the one thing that saved me - apart from the stern lecture - was that I appeared to be remarkably thorough using my electric toothbrush. And Sonic, though somewhat pricey, pays for itself in dental care. In fact, if you look closely enough, you can see for yourself :)

  93. This would be so perfect. I was just groaning when I took off my sonicare head and put it in the ultraviolet cleaner. I was thinking it's past time to buy a new one. This would be tremendous to get one FREE!

  94. hi, The last time I went to the dentist I had 5 cavities :( and he told me to get one these. I hadn't been to the dentist in 3 years because I couldn't afford to so I definitely can't afford one of these. I just got laid off on January 20th also so winning this would be wonderful!! thanks.

  95. The Philips Sonicare FlexCare with Sanitizer toothbrush is awesome!

To have a toothbrush that cleans and scrubs and massages and proven to reduce Gingivitis in just 2 weeks would be great!

:) Thank you for the wonderful giveaway! :)

  96. what a great idea to have a santizer with your toothbrushes, its like having a clean new brush everytime you use it.

  97. I love this toothbrush! I have used another major brand brush and love it!! It is time for a new one though. I recommend this system to everyone, nothing makes your mouth feel better and teeth cleaner than an electric toothbrush! IT IS WORTH THE $! It will save your in the long run!!

  98. I am a college student who has always had a big problem with cavities. I have tried using drugstore type electric toothbrushes such as the spin brush as well as fluoride mouth rinses to no avail. Hopefully, if I won this product it would really help cut down on my dentist bill every six months. Thanks for the contest!

  99. I enjoyed your review of this Philips Sonicare FlexCare with Sanitizer toothbrush. I would love an opportunity to kick my oral hygiene routine up a notch with this product! It sounds like it really works effectively in I love that it can reduce Gingivitis in just 2 weeks! I would love that great peace of mind in knowing that I am doing all that I can to keep my teeth and gums in the best possible condition as possible. I would also love to let my husband use the second head too! We need to set good examples by setting a good example to our 3 young children on the importance of consistent good oral care. Thank you so much for the opportunity to enter.

  100. I have always had trouble with my teeth (I have soft teeth) It is really frustrating and I would love to give this electric toothbrush a try! Thanks!!!

  101. Though I have always been blessed with good teeth, my mother has always struggled with hers and has had more issues than I can count. As a result, I had purchased a similar product for her for her last birthday and swears by it! I've seen first hand what having a great toothbrush can do for my Mom and would love to try one out for myself!

  102. Thank you so much for the review, even if I don't win I know what kind of brush to buy. I love coming to your site to see what you review and what neat new things are out there. My family could use the Soniccare Flexcare Toothbrush, So far no cavities for the daughter and myself but hubby has 2, hate to be him. Thanks for the give away.

  103. I could definitely use a new toothbrush!! Mine finally died last year in November. I miss it.

    orchestratenoise0726[at]yahoo[dot]com

  104. I'd love to try an electric toothbrush, I use the plan regular ones and I don't think they're getting me clean enough!

  105. My husband has an older version of this and he absolutely loves it! I've been stuck in my ways and I'm still using the old standard toothbrush. I think it might be time to give it up and catch up with technology! I'm sure my teeth would thank me!

  106. I just got a mouthful of expensive new crowns. I could really use something like the Sonicare FlexCare to make sure they stay shiny and new-looking for years to come!

    seattlvess at gmail.com

  107. My dentist thinks I need this toothbrush, but at this point, I can't afford the added expense. I'd love to win it. Thanks for the chance

  108. My dentist strongly suggests that I get four cleanings a year. This type of toothbrush would probably be a welcome relief from that added expense. I also really like the sanitizing idea! Thanks for a great contest!

  109. I hate the dentist....I brush and floss regularly, but I am prone to cavities and always have some....no matter what I do. I've considered getting a fancy brush like this, and would be great to win one. Thanks for the giveaway.

  110. My dentists office also has one of these on display. Interestingly enough, our office will sell these to you cheaper than retail (who knew, right?). I never realized how much difference an ultrasonic toothbrush makes until I got a cheaper model Sonicare. They really make a big difference in how clean your teeth get.

  111. I had bought a sonicare at the recommendatino of our dental hygenist for my ten year old daughter who had gotten braces. She was having problems getting the bracket areas really clean and the Sonicare has really helped. I would love to have one for myself!

    daytoncat1(at)yahoo(dot)com

  112. I have a huge fear of the dentist and would love to have the peace of mind that I'm using a fantastic toothbrush to keep my teeth clean and myself healthy. Great giveaway would love win.

  113. I love the features of this toothbrush! I think the uv sanitizer is such a great idea! I'd love to own one! I'm a firm believer in dental care and have gotten my whole family to a fantastic dentist and now see her on a routine basis! Great giveaway - thanks for offering it!

    the4moyers(at)msn(dot)com

  114. This is one of the units my dentist claims is actually worth the money. He keeps telling me it will save money in the long run by cutting down the number of cleanings I need.

  115. After three cavities last year alone (despite all the brushing, flossing and rinsing I do), this might just do the trick.

    Thanks for the chance,
    Megret

  116. My dentist told me to buy this but I haven't been able to afford it. He said it would really help me out. I have terrible teeth. Thanks for having the giveaway.

  117. This would be a wonderful upgrade from my current stone age toothbrush whose only power is me! The UV sanitizing sounds great. I have heard so much about toothbrushes actually making you sick from the bacteria buildup.

  118. I've never tried one of these toothbrushes and have been eying them on Amazon for some time waiting for the price to come down. I tend to not hear good news when I'm at the dentist and I'm sure this would help.

  119. I would love to have this. I have never had a very powerful toothbrush and it would be awesome to try. I use the plain old manuals. :) Thank you for the giveaway!

  120. Our dentist recommends this toothbrush, but the price has been a hindrance to moving from the inexpensive battery operated ones to the cadillac of toothbrushes. Would love to be able to tell everyone I won it.

  121. Congratulations on your new baby that is coming! So glad for you. I am in need of a new toothbrush that does a better job than the one I have. Thank you for the giveaway.

  122. My wife and I both use the 'old' version of these and they really do work incredibly well. They are kind of expensive though so we've held off buying them for our 9 and 12 year old. If we won this, we'ld buy new heads for the old one and use these I think.

  123. I don't know if it's any better than the Oral B professional care toothbrush that I currently use, but I'd be willing to submit a comparison if I win.

  124. Congrats on not having any cavities! I've lost count of how many fillings I have. This toothbrush just might help me not have to get any more. Thanks for the chance to win one!
    Darcy

  125. this toothbrush looks amazing! i have been eyeing it, but I just can't put that much money into it. I used to have an electric toothbrush until it got old, but I loved it.

  126. I really need a good toothbrush like this -- my dentist says I brush my teeth too hard and I could use a really good electric one. Thanks for the contest!

  127. I just had a dental check-up last week. No cavities but my gums are a little inflamed. My regular old toothbrush just isn't cutting it. The Sonicare would be great. Thank you for the chance to win.

  128. I've gone through 3 electric tooth brushes since my first died. None have ever matched it. This one looks like it'd surpass it.

  129. This would be an awesome "Welcome Home" gift for hubby. He is currently deployed in Iraq & has to use a manual toothbrush. He's a fanatic about oral health, so he would love this!

  130. I could really use this. I'm due on a cleaning and even though it won't replace one, after I get my cleaning I can probably use this to keep my teeth clean longer

  131. This is exactly what I need at my house. I have a daughter who thinks brushing her teeth is such a chore. I would hope this would pep it up a bit.

  132. This would be perfect for my wife. She's had an ongoing issue with gingivitis/receding gum line, and after her checkup Monday, the dentist highly recommended she try a sonic toothbrush, that they are perfect for her situation. So, this would be a great win for me (and my wife).

  133. My electric toothbrush recently died a natural death due to old age, and I haven't purchased a replacement as yet. Since I have had some trouble with periodontal disease, I could really use this!

  134. Ooh, this looks like one fancy toothbrush! I've yet to use anything other than a trusty old-school manual toothbrush, but your review has me wondering if the time has come to switch things up a bit . . .

  135. I have the original Sonicare and absolutely adore it!! I used to hate to go to the dentist because I always needed some kind of filling or root canal. I was convinced my teeth were "soft" but now I know I just wasn't using the right toothbrush. Since starting to use the Sonicare 10 years ago, I haven't had one cavity! It's a miracle!

  136. I am a dental hygiene student and I can attest to the benefits of this toothbrush. I have my own but I would love to donate this to someone in the communtiy if I win. Thanks for the giveaway.

  137. I have seen quite a few good reviews on this toothbrush and would love to have one for myself. My Dental health is a little on the poor side and anything that may help would be awesome. Thanks for the giveaway :)

  138. I have used an electric toothbrush for decades now. This would be great. No manual toothbrushes in my household...

  139. My dentist would love you if I were to win. Had as electric tooth brush and I loved it. They do an awesome job of cleaning.

  140. They say dental health is very important for the health of the rest of your body so I guess the heafty price tag would be a good investment. I would love to own one of these. Thanks for a great giveaway!

  141. Since I used to work for a dentist, I pay pretty close attention to my dental care. These brushes really help minimize tooth decay.

  142. I bought a Sonicare brush for my daughter when she was wearing braces. It made a big difference for her at checkups. I would love to own one too.

  143. I love the fact that it's all in one UV sanitizer, charging & storage unit. It has a small counter top foot print. I'm all for healthy teeth and gum's.

  144. My oldest son could really use this. We went to the dentist yesterday and he had a very bad cavity as well as not so healthy gums. I've taught him how to brush his teeth years ago and nag him about it all the time, but what do I know? I'm just the stupid old Mom and he knows everything (he's 16).......

  145. I've always wanted a electric toothbrush. My dentist has been telling me to buy one, and now I have braces and he's been really nagging on me about getting one. Thank you for the opportunity to win this.

  146. Great toothbrush! The sanitizer for the extra toothbrush heads...most impressive! I've recently been putting alot of money into mt teeth; this would protect my investment!

  147. It's obvious to me that you haven't smelled my husband's breath! If anyone on the planet needs this, it's him!

  148. I have an old electric toothbrush and have been wanting a new sonicare one but my husband is very practical and I can not get him to splurge on one since mine still works. If I win one, he would have to let me have it!

  149. I would love to win this toothbrush. I have never had an electric toothbrush, and I would love to see if it really cuts down on cavities.

  150. I too value a quality toothbrush. I had periodontal work, orthodontia, crowns and bridges done. I floss regularly and brush often. I saw a notice that said, "floss only those teeth you want to save."

  151. I have never had a cavity, and don't plan on starting now (at 37!). I just heard a commercial about sonic toothbrushes right before reading your post. They really sound interesting, and definitely seem to clean much better than a traditional manual-powered brush. Worth a try if I win it!

  152. Congrats on the no cavities! I've heard a lot of great things about electric toothbrushes and I'm sure this would be good for my receding gums.

  153. My sister has one of these & loves it! Anything that helps me keep my teeth clean & white is A+ in my book. Thanks alot for the great giveaway!

  154. My dentist says I am brushing my gums away by brushing too hard, s-o-o-o...it's time for an electric toothbrush. Doesn't get any better than this one.

  155. I love these brushes! They really do make your teeth whiter and gums stronger. Ours is hanging in there, but old. Love to have a new one, then I won't have to share until the old one dies.

  156. I had a Phillips Sonicare until about 2 months ago when it broke. It wasn't the Sonicare's fault - it was mine. Since then no toothbrush begins to compare. When I used the Sonicare my teeth felt clean, got much, much whiter and I had healthy firm gums. The only reason I haven't re-purchased one is due to budget constraints at this time.

  157. Considering your own experience with this toothbrush, I would love to try it. I don't have an object of similar efficiency in my home and I am sometimes dissatisfied by the results I get when I use the traditional toothbrush.

  158. My son is about to graduate from dental school. If I had this I might never have to endure any more lectures from him regarding my oral hygiene (seems I am one prone to several issues that this could clear up!).

  159. my electronic toothbrush just died and i need another one. the Philips Sonicare FlexCare with Sanitizer looks like a great toothbrush!

  160. I've used Sonicare for a few years and there's a huge difference especially with plaque. I have great teeth just get plaque building up.

  161. Having heard all kinds of great feedback on the Sonicare Flexcare system, I would love to give this a try! Since I've gotten older my teeth aren't in the best shape they could be, and I really need to step up my program of oral healthcare.
Thanx for the super giveaway :)

  162. My husband was just told by our dentist last week that he needs one of these. He now has to go to the dentist once every four months for cleanings due to his family's history with dental issues. This would be perfect for him. Thanks!

  163. This is a great product, I would love , but so woluld my son, so we would have to fight over it LOL
    Thanks for the contest :)

  164. I agree withe previous posters that the timer would be a great addition. I'm sure I don't brush near long enough. And the UV sanitizer would be awesome! Thanks for a great giveaway.

  165. We use Sonicare and absolutely love it. I am ready to upgrade our kids to similar brushes and would love to win this one!

  166. ooh, this sounds great! My teeth are getting old, and having more problems. This could at least eliminate problems from cavities!

  167. My son has been using this for the past year. Got the toothbrush as a gift and the dentist said his teeth haven't looked better than they do now.

  168. I really need this toothbrush. My old one died and I can't afford to buy a new electric one at this time and it's just not the same using a "regular" toothbrush.

  169. Something tells me this won't miraculously uncover and dispense with my wisdom teeth, but it would be great for the visible ones.

  170. I have always used the Oral-B electric toothbrush but lately I have heard from a few people including my Dental Hygenist that they all prefer the Sonic Care so I would love to win this and try this!

  171. Just can't bring myself to purchase an electric toothbrush, although my dentist would be happy. Have used a manual toothbrush for years. If I win, I will learn to use an electric toothbrush.

  172. Lucky you for having a caring dentist. I do have some dental insurance even though it doesn't really cover much so in order to utilize that at all there is only one dentist in our area that takes it. Every time I go in for my 3 month cleaning he has nothing but negative comments about how I could do this or I could do that and believe me I've been doing everything he says. It would be nice to go back in one time and let him see a change then I could tell him that it wasn't his suggestions it was something I came across on a good blog.

  173. I would love to win this. My electric toothbrush is getting ancient and they are so expensive. This would make a great replacement. thanks!

  174. This would be awesome! I am such a freak about teeth lately, especially after recently having a impacted wisdom tooth. I'd love this. Thanks!!!

  175. I believe in a good toothbrush too. I use the Oral-B Pulsar Pro-Health. If I won the Philips Sonicare Flexcare you would be saving me lots of money and I would feel that it would be much "Greener" because I would not be throwing so much plastic away.

  176. I've learned that the condition of your teeth greatly affects your overall health, especially heart health, so I'l love to use a better dental cleaning program than just my regular toothbrush.

    Thanks for the contest!

  177. I have bought the little battery spinners and they're good but I'm ready to move up to the big time. I also use a WaterPik occasionally, too. My dental hygenist really brags on me and how great my teeth and gums are. So I hope to win this prize.

  178. If using the Philips Sonicare FlexCare with Sanitizer toothbrush prevents even one cavity, it's more than worth its cost. If it prevents two, you've made money. ;)

  179. Have been wanting one of these for awhile now...feel like it would significantly cut down on cavities and other dental problems!

  180. We bought a Sonicare (for a pretty penny) years ago but my husband complained that it gave him a headache. So back to the store it went. I'd love to win this one. If I didn't spend money on it he won't complain if he doesn't use it.

  181. I've used one of these before with the separate sanitation unit, but I really like the idea of having the sanitation unit attached. Thanks for the contest.
susan dot lockhart at gmail dot com

  182. This would be a wonderful and very helpful prize to win!! I am struggling with carpal tunnel syndrome and it can be very painful and difficult to brush my teeth properly. The Philips Sonicare FlexCare with Sanitizer toothbrush would make it a lot easier! Thank you for the contest!

  183. I brush the old fashion way but someone said that these new electric ones work wonders. Thanks for the contest and I hope I win!!!

  184. My friend has one of these & she raves about what a difference it has made for her teeth. Would love to have one. Thanks

  185. I've been using a Rotadent sold to me by my dentist, but I have to soak the heads in listerine to sanitize them and it shortens their lifespan dramatically. The heads cost $10 a piece so it adds up quickly. I'd like to give this a shot to compare.

  186. I have always used a manual brush. A frined of mine says the automatic brushes are very good at cleaning your teeth. This would be a great reason to try one!

  187. I’ve been thinking over buying one of these types of toothbrushes but holding off because of the price, but you make a good point about it saving money in the long run and being low in price per use. Love the UV sanitizing idea.

  188. I have never had an electric or battery-powered toothbrush. Always wanted to try one but they can be a bit pricy!

  189. You have a kick a** toothbrush!! I'm so jealous!! Good job on the cavity free check-up, I remember when I was younger I once had 7 cavities at ONE visit!! Oww!

    autumn398 (at) yahoo.com

  190. You have a kick a** toothbrush!! I'm so jealous!! Good job on the cavity free check-up, I remember when I was younger I once had 7 cavities at ONE visit!! Oww!!

    autumn398 (at) yahoo.com

  191. I've been blessed with good teeth, but I have a medical condition which makes it especially important that I take good care of them. Thanks for the offer!

  192. I need this! I am super-into good oral hygiene now, as I had terrible habits in my youth, and I've become a bit obsessive now. lol Thank you so much for offering this giveaway! eyeslikesugar [at] gmail [dot] com

  193. My dentist recommended an electric toothbrush and I haven't gotten around to it. He siad it was so much better than the manual ones.

  194. I love this toothbrush!! I miss the clean feeling it provides! Mine is now broken... I could really use a new one.

    Thanks for a great contest!

  195. I've always wanted one of these but could never afford it..so this would be great!! and my gums would love this too...

  196. A couple of days ago I took my son to his dental appointment and oh, do we ever need this toothbrush! This is a great giveaway and I know it will be put to good use.

  197. I have a very old Sonicare brush now and I have always realized the benefits from using it. However, it doesn't hold a charge anymore and I need a new one. My dentist insists that my husband and I both use the Sonicare because we both suffer from gum disease. I truly believe this toothbrush has extended the life of our teeth. Thanks for the great giveaway opportunity.

  198. Oh how I hate going to the dentist.... perhaps a fantastic toothbrush like this would help to make the bi-annual trips go a little faster.

  199. We have been using an older version of a sonicare for years and it has really made a difference in our oral health. The dentist always raves about how good we are doing at flossing (but I never do). I attribute it to the way this brush swishes the water around your teeth. There's just nothing like it!

  200. My husband has such bad problems with his teeth, we could really use this -- THANKS FOR THE GIVEAWAY !!!!

  201. I sure could use this my teeth have never been perfect but I strive for clean and healthy teeth I have problems flossing because my teeth are so close together and my dentist said I should get a one of these and I just might if I don't win one =).

  202. My Sonicare toothbrush recently died a slow and painful death. I certainly could use this as a replacement. Help my teeth, please.

  203. I know my hygenist recommends the Sonicare, I just haven't put out the money to get one.
    thanks for the giveaway.

  204. I had have a sonicare for many, many years (it really needs to be replaced). It is not as nice as the giveaway sonicare, but it does a great job cleaning! Thanks for the nice giveaway!

  205. I would really love to win this as I'm always wondering if I'm doing a good enough job brushing with a manuel brush.

  206. This sounds like a fabulous toothbrush. I have been using a manual toothbrush and would love to upgrade to a Sonicare. I have heard how much better they are than manual toothbrushes.

Thank you for another great giveaway!

  207. Would love to take one of these home. Teeth are decent but i have no dental insurance and never get into the office....this would make me feel a little less iffy about that fact.

  208. I have always used a manual toothbrush because I could never afford a good one. My gums bleed a lot so I think this would help me control that problem.

  209. I started with a simple toothbrush, but this will contribute to my goal of having a robot brush my teeth. Multi tasking will be within my grasp.

  210. Bob's SonicCare died last year and he hasn't gotten a new one. I think he could use a replacement but it seems like a weird thing to buy for someone else...

  211. I have one similare to this. My husband has been griping to me about how he wants one because his dentist recommened it. This would be GREAT!

  212. I have been researching electric toothbrushes and I can't find one better than this. It is pricey and I would love to win this contest so I can start taking better care of my teeth. Thanks!

  213. I had one of these years and years ago but my brother took it...
    I let him.
But I'd sure like to have another one!!!

  214. My dentist told me last week that I'm suffering from "genetic bone loss" in the back of my mouth, so I have to get a very deep cleaning in a couple of weeks. Ugh! If this toothbrush will help me to keep my teeth and not end up in dentures like everyone in my dad's family, I am so there!!

  215. I just had a visit to the dentist too only mine wasnt that good, found out I have 2 cavities and some issues with bone loss, so I will no doubt need to see a specialist down the road for some more dental work of the serious kind, I would love to win this fantastic prize and start adding some better dental hygiene into my routine, thanks for hosting this great giveaway

  216. I was suppose to get my teeth cleaned tomorrow but I have to reschedule. I'm so bummed I love the super clean feeling.

  217. I could really use this toothbrush. My teeth are in really bad shape. I have six cavities that I need to take care of but can't afford at this time. This toothbrush would really help. Thanks for the chance.

  218. I have the lower end model of this toothbrush and I love it. I would love to upgrade and pass the one I am using now to my boyfriend with a new toothbrush head, of course!

  219. I've slowly been switching us to better toothbrushes like this one, but we need two more. If I won this, only 'the baby' would be without one.

  220. I just went to the dentist a couple weeks ago and it was so painful! Even though I floss every night they said I had tartar and the dental assistant scrapped the heck out of my teeth and gums. It hurt! I really need to get one of these super powered toothbrushes because regular brushing and flossing is no longer enough.

  221. My mom has been on me to go to the dentist. For some reason I've become real lax in my dental visits...maybe it's the finding child care thing. Anyway. I have thought that I could at least get a better toothbrush but the price has put me off. I've always had great dentist visits and have no cavities and I'd really like to keep it that way so anything that can help would be welcome. (Hum, guess that means I should be more regular with my dentist visits.)

  222. I just visited my Dentist two weeks ago for an exam and cleaning and he suggested that I get a Sonicare. He really spoke very highly about Sonicare.
Thanks so much for offering this wonderful giveaway.

  223. I have one of these, won it about 2 years ago. My mouth/gums have improved dramaictly. I woold like to win one for my hubby or my son...both could use an improvement.

  224. I like using mu Crest Spin Brush and I do like how it cleans. This would definetly be a step. I like the timer feature...sometimes I think I cut my brushing a little short.

  225. I've been thinking about one of these electric toothbrushes after having so many friends rave about them for literally the past 10 years but just haven't been able to make that jump from $2 to $175. Here's to crossing my fingers.

  226. I have a Sonicare, but I dropped it once, and it's not quite the same. My hygienist recommended it to me since I have a touch of gum disease, and I plan to continue using a Sonicare, as it has made my gums healthier in a very short time.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  227. I love the UV sanitizer-that is a great touch. I can always use something to help with better dental care and make the dentist's cleanings easier.

  228. My husband a loyal user of Philips Sonicare. He would not even use a manual toothbrush anymore. So please let me enter this contest.

  229. I just returned from a visit to the dentist. No cavaties but this would make the next trip for a cleaning a lot less painful. Thanks.

  230. I had an electric toothbrush, though not quite as good as this one. I loved it and it worked great, until I left it at a hotel while on vacation. I'd love to win this!

  231. Too cool. UV rays to sanitize?? I heard if you keep your toothbrush on the windowsill, you kind of get the same result???

  232. I have to admit, I have a horrible 0.99 toothbrush that doesn't do what I want it to do! This toothbrush is what I have been dreaming about1 Thanks for this great give-away =]

  233. I like that it is a green product. That means it is at least 10% more energy efficient than similar products, and every little bit adds up. Good luck to all.

  234. I would just love to win this amazing toothbrush. My regular toothbrush does not do as well as this one would on cleaning. Since oral hygene is important to me, I visit my dentist often...and I am sure he would see a difference after using this product. Thanks for offering a great giveaway!

  235. I had an electric toothbrush when I was a teenager. They are pretty cool, but I am sure that this new "modern" one is even better.

I wish my dentist was a happier guy like yours is.

  236. My dentist is a rather jolly guy, too. I actually like going there-- they always say nice things about my dental hygiene, and tell me horror stories of not-so-fresh mouths they've dealt with. I've never tried a power toothbrush of any kind, and I would love, love, love to try this one.

  237. I have been wanting one of these. I worry about germs on our toothbrushes. Our dentist has recommended an electric toothbrush.

  238. I've wanted one of these tooth brushes for quite a while. I'm quite afraid of the dentist and I like to do most of my tooth care at home. This would be a great help for me. Thanks for the chance to win this great product.

  239. Even though I'm not entirely fond of the idea of having my toothbrush sitting out on the couter (I'm a bit of a neat freak), this IS on my wishlist and I'd love to give it a try. I've heard lots of great things about it. Thanks for the chance to enter!

  240. Could definately use this. Seems like the older I get, the harder it is to keep my teeth clean and therefore end up having to brush a few times throughout the day. As a result of that, I go thru alot of toothbrushes and maybe a better one like this is just the thing I need. Thanks for the contest and I hope to win. Keep smiling and have a great day.

  241. I would love to have one of these. I really love that it has an adjustable timer. While I'd like to say that I would always use the 3 minute I know that is not true. So having an option is great. I also like the UV sanitizer. Bathrooms are the one of the dirtiest areas and our toothbrushes are just out in the open. Yuck. Thanks for a great giveaway.

  242. My husband could definitely use this! Sometimes I think he's like a little kid... I have to get on his case about doing a better job of brushing his teeth. This would sure help him to do a better job. Plus, I think the sanitization feature on this product is really neat! Less germs to worry about, yay!

  243. I had an electric toothbrush and I loved it because it gave that "just back from the dentist" feeling. Unfortunately it doesnt work anymore so I would love to win this one! Thanks!

  244. This has been on my wish list for a while but I never get around to buying one. I dont have dental insurance so I try to do everything I can do take care of my teeth and avoid unnecessary trips to the dentists. I really think this would be a great addition to my dental routine.

  245. I've never had the chance to use a Sonicare toothbrush but I have always wanted to. All my friends swear by them but I just never got around to purchasing one. This one looks like the top of the line. Thanks for the chance to win!

    kport207 at gmail dot com

  246. My husband & I began using electric brushes when he had periodonic surgery. We've had healthier teeth & gums since.

  247. I have Gingivitis and my dentist said the electric toothbrush is best. I've been using the disposable electric brushes but it's probably not the best environmental choice. I like this brush because it lasts and the UV sanitizer sounds very hygienic.

  248. I used to have a sonic tooth brush but the way the tooth brushes sat out grossed me out so I haven't been using it for a while. I would love one with a UV cleaner so you aren't brushing your teeth with germs!!! Thanks!!

  249. I had a sonicare for years and now its so old that they don't make refill brushes for this model. Time to upgrade. Thanks,

  250. I just went to the dentist too (part of my checklist for before the baby arrives) and also received a clean bill of health. She did tell me that it appears I brush too hard and thus have a bit of gum recession so she suggested one of these types of electric toothbrushes. Here's hoping I win!

  251. As we are now retired and do not have a Dental Health Plan, we can only have our dental cleaning done once a year instead of twice as in the past. This would really be of great help in maintaining our "pearly whites" as long as we have our own!!

  252. My dentist has been pushing for me to get a Sonicare for almost two years now.... can I win this prize just to make him happy?? ;) I believe him (and you) when he says how well it works, but augh, the money!! I would definitely enjoy one of these, though, as I'm sure my husband would as well!

  253. having just made a trip to the dentist myself and being told I need two crowns I could really use this, four pregnancies really did a number on my teeth

  254. Whose gums couldn't use more TLC? I've been flirting with the idea of an electric toothbrush for awhile- was leaning towards a competitor & now thinking I should give this one another look. Whoever wins, enjoy!

  255. We can put a man on the moon (or at least we used to be able to). Why can't we invent an electric tooth brush head that lasts longer than four weeks? I'm just sayin'...

  256. I so need a great toothbrush like this! Yeah oregnancy does that to your mouth. Oral health is important to your whole body!

  257. My kids and hubby use electronic toothbrushes. I would love to win this one for them, have heard GREAT Things about it.

  258. Hubby has an electric toothbrush so now it's my turn LOL I love the idea of the timer because even myself as an adult doesn't spend enough time brushing so this would be great to keep me on track.

  259. This toothbrush is actually the toothbrush featured and on display in our dentist's office. The timer is excellent for kids who have trouble brushing long/thoroughly enough. A wonderful investment for healthier teeth and gums and whiter teeth.

  260. I have this toothbrush, I can't live without it. Would love to have another as a backup if this one breaks.

  261. Interestingly, my teeth used to be perfect. I was one of those kids that never got a cavity, no matter what I ate . . . until I grew up and got pregnant! My pregnancies really threw my body out of whack. Since then, I have had repeated cavities and even one impacted tooth! A toothbrush like this would be great.

  262. My husband uses an electric toothbrush and swears by it. His dentist recommended just this toothbrush for him. I would love to win this for him because we just can't afford one right now. Thanks.

  263. I've been spending major $$$ on dentists and periodontists. Perhaps having spent $$$ on a great toothbush like this would have staved off some of the trauma. As a neat-freak, the UV sanitizer aspect really appeals to me. Thanks for the chance!

  264. I've been hesitating over buying one of these types of toothbrushes because of the price, but you make a good point about it saving money in the long run and being low in price per use. =D

  265. I have always shied away from the electric toothbrush route. My husband has one he loves. Perhaps now is the time for me to join him?

  266. I've been mising my electric toothbrush. My old one died on me and it just hasn't been in the budget to replace it!

  267. LOVE this toothbrush! my dentist raves about it and I love the UV sanitizer feature!! Would really love it and need it too!

  268. I love the uv sanitization holder built in. I have seen the seperate units but have never seen it built in to the holder on a motorized. I could so use a good toothbrush too. I love that just cleaned feeling from the dentist!

  269. a good friend of mine is an orthodontist. he recommends this brush based on research studies AND the results he saw with patients. i have a different, poor man's version of it in another brand which works alright, but the UV sanitization holder for the brush heads would be great. i'd really like to give this brush a try.

i've started my little guy on a kiddo sized toothbrush. he mostly plays with it, but he's independent enough to insist on doing the job himself. however, he has fun watching me with my motorized toothbrush which he likes for me to use on him every once in while.
