  1. I love the idea of introducing great stories at a young age. I give those authors credit who can take a classic and still make it an incredible read for little ones. I can't wait to share it with my little one. I hope it is loved by him as much as I love it too!

  2. I am such a fan of this book and I love the movie too.

  6. Board books are delightful opportunities for the smallest child to begin a love affair with books. Introducing them to characters and stories of substance via their first books is a fantastic idea. Sure they need to learn their shapes and their colors. But their young minds are capable of so much more. My daughters young daughters would really enjoy this.

  9. this is a great idea - a kid who reads this now will be curious about the "real book" as they get older, and will become a reader of classic lit.

  10. This book has always been one of my favorites. Wonderful that they made a board book with the story. I've heard they have other ones too. I will have to check this out.:)

  14. Pride and Prejudice! is my favorite book & my favorite movie..I am so happy that they made it a children's book so I can share my favorite book with my daughter

  15. This is one of my favorite books, I would love to introduce it to my niece who is infatuated with books.

  16. Oh, wow! I love Pride and Prejudice! A book for kids? That's amazing! I want to own this now in reserve for whenever I do have kids and they are old enough to read this book with.

  17. I saw this at Barnes and Noble the other week and almost died! I fell in love with it instantly! Unfortunately, it wasn't in the budget to get. I would love to win this to be able to introduce my daughter to fabulous world of Jane Austen! I also saw there was a Romeo and Juliet board book available. When I got home I checked out their website and saw that they are coming out with Alice in Wonderland and Jane Eyre as well! I love the idea of introducing classics to young children. I wonder why no one thought of it sooner!

  18. I adore Jane Austen and would love to read this book!! Oh and share it with my daughters of course! It is never too early to start their infatuation with Jane!

  19. Pride and Prejudice as a board book. Not the first classic that would come to mind for toddlers, but it would be interesting to see this book and then use it as a gift for a friend with children. clairjuly at yahoo dot com

  20. I love Pride and Prejudice! My best friend is a P&P fanatic and would love this book for her little daughter! I already have her a onesie that has Darcy's proposal on it. Thanks for a fun giveaway!

  21. I looove Pride & Prejudice, (the book and the miniseries with Colin Firth!) From what I can see of this book, it's just a counting book, no story as such? I wonder how that translates, and if the story later does feel familiar to the kids. I am hoping to introduce longer stories to my 3 year old soon, "chapter books" that I will read to her, but I think P & P is still a few years down the road!

  22. What a fun idea. Maybe my kid would be less intimidated by Shakespeare than I was if they're introduced to Romeo and Juliet when they're young.

  23. What a brilliant idea! I love Pride and Prejudice (and the BBC mini series). I want Kenna to grow up loving the classics. I can't wait to read all of my favorites to her.

  24. My husband and I recently began watching the famed BBC version of Pride and Prejudice with Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth, as our nightly wind down- post kiddo bedtime. I put a huge time gap in between viewings, that way the nuances are somewhat astonishing!! I love the book, as well. This children's book has been on my radar for some time now! It's so great that you're promoting it!... And yes, I'd love a copy. So if I don't win this, I may have to go out and purchase.

  25. Oh my goodness! This was on my short list of books for my daughter. What a fun idea! At one, I just don't think she is ready for the chapter book version, so this would be a good compromise for she and I. :)

  26. oh yes! A masterpiece indeed! I LOVE these BabyLit Books - Please don't enter me as I have this one and also the Romeo & Juliet one! But just wanted to comment on how GREAT they are - and, since my son was about 18 months he has LOVED them immensely! :)

  27. "Think only of the past as its remembrance gives you pleasure." What better way to remember the past then to be introduced to an amazing classic at a young age?! I own at least 4 copies currently of Pride and Prejudice, and I definitely plan on purchasing one of these! Can't wait to introduce my favorite little one's to the timeless classic. Thank you for sharing!

  28. That would crack my husband up. He always jokes about my infatuation with Jane Austen. I'm sure he'd love to see our daughter reading Pride & Prejudice too.
