  1. My 2 year old grand-daughter is starting to learn about books. She has been read to since birth. recently, she is making the attempt to read to us. She goes to the library , picks out her own books, and knows that she has to take care of them. They are never too young to teach the lifelong love of reading. thank you for the opportunity to win this for her!

  2. One of my son's first words was Moon (it took me a while to figure out he was pointing at that big full moon in the sky behind a tree). He's loved space/astronauts/rockets ever since!

  3. A very good friend is due to give birth soon to a little one that she'll be calling Rocket. I've been trying to round up all sorts of rocket-related books for the baby, and this looks like a great one.

  4. My son would love this...my daughter probably would too for that matter. My son loves anything even remotely super hero related and in his mind, people who fly rockets are super heroes :)

  5. I thought I commented... and then realized I didn't! We LOVE rocket ships and outer space and... all things cool. I love that your girls do, too! We need to hang out!!!!

  6. I love it! This book combines 2 of my son's favorite things - rockets and opposites. He is all over up/down, big/little, etc. I think the retro vibe is really cool too.

  7. I like the look of this book, it has a real "1950's looking towards the future" look. I think my daughter would be into it as well, and we're always looking for new books. We just came home from the library with an armload!

    1. You described it exactly right.

We just went to the library today...and came out with so many picture books I could barely carry the bag! ;)

  8. My son loves rockets and anything to do with outer space. He is always talking about taking a rocket to the moon and Mars and he's not even 3! This book would be awesome to have!

  9. the illustrations look intriguing and bright- im going to looke for books by this author at the library

  10. i looooove browsing books for my little one. I was just telling my husband the other day that we need a space-type book...a book about trains...and a book about boats....Clara's library doesn't have any other those themes. She needs 'em.

  11. My daughter just loves reading and my husband works in the space industry. This would be a great way for the two of them to be able to bond over their combined passions!

  12. My son loves to pretend to be in a rocket ship. And he's just learning how to read. Fortunately (or unfortunately) he's got a great memory so when he reads the books over and over I'm not sure if he's really reading or just has it memorized. Good thing we get new books at the library!

  13. The pictures in this book look amazing! I know I have all girls, but I am a firm believer that my girls can have all types of "boy" books in their lives to read too! I just love for them to expand their minds and imaginations!

  14. My daughters love books of all kinds. I love to read a variety of topics to them, not just those books "for girls". I think they would love this book.

  15. My son would love this book - he loves sitting and reading with us, and any book having to do with some kind of transportation is always high on his list!

  16. My son loves rockets and books and this one looks right up his ally. If we don't win we'll probably buy it for him! Thanks for the giveaway!

  17. I love the illustrations! The pickup truck sold me. I looked at his other children's book, "The Sea of Bath", on Amazon - it looks like a good one, too!

  18. I think my 3 year old son would loooovvvve this book! He is autistic and graduates from occupational therapy tomorrow, and this would make a great gift for him. He loves outer space and knows all the planets! :)

  19. My nephew is on a real space kick right now. I would love to read this with him and work on his vocabulary (or at least my understanding of his vocabulary - poor kid is always having to repeat himself for his silly aunt).
