Crane Humidifier [giveaway]

We are exceedingly grateful that our girls very rarely get sick.

On the rare occasion that we find ourselves with the flu or the sniffles, I do what my mom always did. I increase fluids (especially water), increase rest (lots of sleep and lounging about), and increase touch (holding my little ones close, sometimes all through the night).

We also have a little mental catalog of home remedies: vitamin C for colds, honey for coughs, plain yogurt for UTIs, and humidifiers for stuffy noses.

Crane offers a wide variety of humidifiers - with different size, colors, and features. The Adorable humidifiers [pictured below] are shaped like animals and cartoon characters...and sure to be adored by little ones. We received Chauncey the Polar Bear for review and were quickly impressed. He's quiet (so important!), powerful, portable...not to mention adorable! Oscar the Owl and Elliot the Elephant are our other favorites.

  31. So cute compared to most for babies room. Help when stuffy and when Hepa air cleaner is running. It dries him out but helps him nap with the noise it makes. A Crane would be so cute for his little eyes to fixate on. Thanks

  37. So adorable! We use a humidifier occasionally here at home and I think this would be great for our granddaughter's room. They have really come a long way huh? Adorable!

  38. I have never seen these. Our humidifier is just the standard Vicks one and it comes in handy a lot in cold and flu season. I love the smell of vapor. I think both girls would love the look of these fun characters.

  39. This is such a cute and practical item. I like how he head turn to position the flow. Thank you for the review.

  40. Most of my kids so rarely get sick which is such a blessing. My oldest daughter does have a tendency to get colds a lot in the fall and winter and struggles with breathing. A friend recently suggested we get a humidifier. I am definitely going to look into it.

  41. I like the Owl! How Cute! Humidifiers are great for stuffy noses and there isn't much else to do when they are so young!

  42. So, I discovered to my dismay and disgust (both mental and olfactory) that there is this thing put out by VICS that looks like a humidifier, but is actually something else - something icky that puts out hot steam and smells like plastic and feet. Thankfully, I found it at a yard sale for only $3, so it wasn't a huge loss. Well, except now my husband is convinced that real humidifiers are the same kind of abomination, which is a real shame. Anyway, I would LOVE to win one of these humidifiers!! I have a brand new 2 week old baby at home, and it would be sweet indeed to have one of these super cute and oh so wonderful REAL humidifiers in our home! I especially love the cow :)

  43. We had to run a humidifier all last winter since we no longer have a large fish tank. I notice less siuns issues when we run one.

  44. My kids very rarely get sick too....or so I thought! We just moved out to "the country" and all 4 of us are experiences allergy symptoms that we never even knew existed! 2 rooms of our home were additions and still had the original siding on the inside....after a few weeks of being absolutely miserable we had to completely drywall everything! Awesome giveaway! [email protected]

  45. As a mother of four and allergy sufferer Humidifiers are awesome! specially when the kids are really congested.

  47. I think everybody in my family has sinus problems and needs a humidifier! And these are absolutely adorable!

  48. I think I need this humidifier more than my kids will. Thank goodness my daughter is a healthy almost 6 year old. Hopefully her sibling will take after her!

  49. We had the frog before and we really loved it but it broke. My daughter dropped it. I have been wanting to buy another one. Humidifiers are a must in our home during winter time!

  50. Cute. My little ones would be excited to see that sitting in their room. We do the same thing with illness, lots of cuddles = best medicine!

  51. Oh, wow, didn't know about the plain yogurt for UTIs.

The looks for all the Crane Adorable humidifiers are great! (The penguin looks pretty hilarious, although, still rad.) I love that they're energy efficient.

  52. Wow these humidifiers are absolutely precious. As someone whose family is often sick, one of these would be perfect in our house. I love how the tear drop humidifiers are stylish and the animal humidifiers are adorable. They have something for everyone.

  53. Crane humidifiers are great because it cheers kids up a little to see the cute designs when they are sick. I would like this for my son. Thanks!

  54. We registered for one of these on our baby registry but I'm afraid we won't end up getting one because either people don't even bother looking at the registry or they don't know how to use one. I want one for our little one we're expecting because she'll be born right during the fall and when we have the heat on in our house, it can get so dry that my fiance sometimes gets a bloody nose. They're also so cute, which doesn't hurt. Thanks for the giveaway!

  55. I LOVE the Crane Humidifiers! They have the cutest designs ever! I could reall use this in my sons room because it is really dry. And in my room too :)

  56. We like to use a humidifier in the winter to help with the dry air. We are in the market for a new one too since my two year old found our previous one stored in the closet and tossed it down the stairs (empy and unplugged of course) just to see and hear what it would be like ;)

  57. Talk about cute (and I have a thing for polar bears too)! We got a humidifier to try and help our daughter sleep through the night, I don't know that it's made a difference but we still use it. :-)

  58. Those are really cute. Sophia had a cough awhile back that wouldn't budge. A doctor friend of mine suggested putting lavender essential oil in our humidifier. It worked like a charm. Lavender oil now has a permanent spot in our home remedies cabinet.

  59. Too cute! We had a humidifier we used with our daughter, but one day I pulled it apart and the filter was covered in mold! I was appalled and haven't looked into getting another one although I know they're really beneficial so long as they're clean!

  60. These are so cute, sure to cheer any sick kid up! We didn't get one until my daughter was sick and needed one and then I had no idea what to get, the one I ended up getting was so LOUD and leaked all over her room!

  61. The kids love to have the humidifier in their room when they are stuffy. It doubles as a soft sound machine, helping them sleep even better.

  62. Humidifiers have saved us so many times get a good night's sleep when our two year old is sick. These are SO cute, my daughter would LOVE the owl!!!!

  63. Wow, humidifers have come a long way since I was a kid! I love the modern look of the "drop" humidifier, but the puppy is really cute too.

  64. The owl and elephant design are so adorable - what a cute idea! I have heard from so many people that a humidifier is a necessity, and these are definitely the cute way to go :)

  65. i like the fact that you said it is quiet... our kids don't seem to mind humidifier noise so much when they are younger, but really haven't liked it as they got older. the owl and frog styles are cute.

  66. Oh my gosh, I hadn't seen the owl one! So cute. We have one humidifier for our daughter and we recently all came down with sinus issues at the same time. We were fighting over it!! Whomever had the worst symptoms each day won out for that night! We really need to get a second one!

  67. We love our Crane animal humidifiers. Our son has used one since birth, and we actually have one in our room too. They are super easy to clean and I love that they don't have a filter that needs to be replaced/cleaned. Our son is in need of a new one- loving the dog!

  68. I just recently saw this at a Pregnancy Awareness Event here in LA. I loved them up close and using and cleaning seemed pretty easy.

  69. I bought an animal-looking humidifier about 3 years ago (I think it was a penguin) and it ended up leaking all over my bedside table and ruining it! I don't know what brand that was though. I'm willing to try again, since we do use humidifiers around here occasionally.

  70. These would look so much better in my little boys room than my 15 year old square brown one! :)
You don't realize how important one is until you have a sick child.

  71. First of all, these humidifiers are too cute! When my toddler was sick recently, we had to haul the big one that we use in our room down to her room. It helped a lot, but it was just too big in there. They look like they would be the perfect size in her room.

  72. We LOVE our Crane humidifier! Such great products, and necessary here in Arizona where it gets just so dry!!

  73. We just bought two of these for our girls' rooms and I'm wishing I bought myself one! Boy is it quiet (our last humidifier was something like 14 years old and so LOUD).

  74. Both of our kids struggled with allergies this year - for the first time. Yuck! These humidifiers are too cute and would be a great asset to have. Not sure how I would pick though! I say the dog, our daughter picked the elephant and our son liked the cow. Tough choice!

  75. Those are soo cute! I love the owl!! Humidifiers are so important I'm learning in my living in the desert. Funny to think that when I lived in Michigan we had de-humidifiers instead. :)

  76. My favorite is Elliot the Elephant. It would be nice to have a humidifier on hand. Currently we don't have one at all tight now. My allergies have been terrible this season. I bet a Crane humidifier would help.

  77. Humidifiers are a must have in the winter for stuffy noses! Ours was broken in the move in February, and we haven't replaced it yet. I've heard lots of good reviews about Cranes, so I'll definitely be checking them out before next winter!

  78. We have never had a humidifier and I would enjoy trying one out. They are very on trend with the owl one. Owl designs seem to be popping up in nursery decor.

  79. These humidifiers are adorable! A humidifier is always my go-to thing when my daughter gets sick.

  80. These are very cute! My girls would much rather a humidifer like ones of these in their room instead of the "normal" one we are using. in Colorado - much like Arizona these are a must.

  81. I have seen these and thought the elephant one was cute. We have an older Vicks brand one. When our children are not well, I rub Vicks Vapor rub on their chest or nose. I also give them gummy multi-vitamins, a chewable probiotics teddy bear pill (for good digestive enzymes), and liquid VitaminD (Carlson's brand - since it is not always sunny here in the winter).

  82. These are cute, I love Oscar the Owl! Irrespective of winning I really should purchase one just because ;)

  83. I had these on my wish list! Bought one, but could definitely use a second one for the winter when it's a) extra dry and b) we get sick more. :) My favorite is the owl, so cute!

  84. I don't like the noisy humidifiers and this is so cute! Kenz had the stomach bug 3 weeks ago and is now fighting
    Runny nose :(

  85. All three of my kiddos have sinus problems, and we have used different brands and types of humidifiers. Crane makes one of the best humidifiers. Unfortunately, my husband accidentally dropped our Crane humidifier, and it broke. So now we are stuck using a humidifier that we don't like as well and that doesn't work as sell as the Crane.

  86. Thankfully my daughter rarely gets sick either. A few months ago both she and I got a really bad cold and borrowed my Mother in Law's humidifier and it was a life saver. I couldn't believe the difference it made. I need to buy one of my own, but haven't done it yet.

  87. As a pediatrician, I recommend humidifiers to my patients multiple times a day, and I love using them at home to help when the cold/flu come around. They're great for kids and adults! These look so fun for the little ones! Also my favorite go-to baby shower gift! Please enter me!

  88. I have been on the market for a new humidifier. From the first moment I notice any sniffling, we use it. I truly believe that it helps our little ones get over their colds sooner. I really like the elephant humidifier they have. Very cute.

  89. Sign me up! I was told by a friend that a humidifier is an oft-overlooked baby necessity, so I'm glad you're offering one. We, too, try to avoid medication.

  90. We so rarely get sick, too! What a blessing. I think I can count on one hand the number of times we have been sick! We use a humidifier in the winter when the heater makes everything so dry. I even like having one in our room when we are sick! I love the owl and the elephant!
