Day #7 Baby K'tan Baby Carrier

Have you ever taken note of a mother with a sleeping baby in her arms or a toddler cheerfully grinning on her hip? Looks serene, right? I won't deny that it is unquestionably wonderful to carry a little one around, but it's also harder than it looks! It requires both physical and emotional stamina and strength.

That's where baby carriers come in. A good carrier will provide support for your hips and back, while allowing you to have your hands free for other tasks.

The Baby K’tan Baby Carrier is an innovative soft cotton baby carrier that is "a blend of a sling, wrap and carrier, providing the positions and benefits of all three." It is a ready-to-wear wrap that enables parents & caregivers to comfortably carry infants and toddlers (from birth to 3 years) in multiple positions.

Babies can be worn in the k'tan from 8-35 pounds, making it an economical choice that will last you through the infant and toddler years.

In true made-for-parents fashion, the carrier is machine-washable and dryer safe.

We have the Black Breeze carrier, which is ideal for warmer weather climates because it is constructed with 50% mesh and 50% cotton.

  1. Being a new mom I have probably tried most of the slings, most I have not been impressed with, but would love to try this one!

  2. I SO want one of these! A baby sling/carrier is definitely on my Christmas list, and I like the recommendation because there are so many to choose from. I like the flexibility of this one!

  3. I've been wanting to try the K'tan, my woven wrap and mai tai are feeling boring, need some baby wearing excitement, lol

  4. I baby wore with a Maya Wrap and Jellybean sling. I loved babywearing and always admired the versatility of the K'Tan carrier. I'd like to win this for my BFF due in March.

  5. My husband's cousin is newly married and due with her first little one any day. I know she'd love and use something like this for this babe and all the babies she plans to have! :

  6. Nice! I tried an ERGO with Eleanor, and she screamed bloody murder. She loved this other backpack I borrowed, but I just had to give it back, because my friend's sister is pregnant. So I'd love to stash a K'TAN away for baby 2 someday. ;)

  7. It is good to see that you have a carrier you approve of for warmer climates. It's hot here in AZ! My friend didn't recommend baby wearing for me because I'd be having a summer baby. This gives me hope.

  8. I've heard a lot of good things about the K'Tan, but have never had a chance to try it. Thanks for a great giveaway!

  9. I'd love this!!! We are having baby number 2 the end of May and I've been looking at this and a Boba. Did the same size fit you and your husband?

  10. This reminds me of how the African ladies use their towels to wrap and carry their babies on their backs...it is AMAZING to watch them do it. I used to tell one of the teenage girls that I was going to do that when I had a baby and she would adamantly tell me know....I asked her if it was because I was white and she said...YES! and I laughed!!

  11. I've never tried a K'Tan, but I love baby wearing!! I'm actually sad that my baby is almost getting too big for a carrier, but she still is willingly going in, so I'll keep baby wearing!

  12. I couldn't have gotten through the last year and a half without my carrier. You're right, they make things so much easier. I'd love to win this for a friend!

  13. I made a ring sling and used it a little bit with both kids. I would like to try this... someday. :) I also love, love, love the moby. I think it is perfect for the early months and then the Ergo wins hands down for older babies.

  14. I have wondered about the K'TAN, I haven't ever seen anyone wear it, but I've read good reviews about it. How does it compare to the ERGO?
