Discover Cool Products @ Daily Grommet

logo daily grommetI am pleased to introduce you to a new site that just recently launched...

a site that brings you "fresh finds, true stories"...every single day.

It's called Daily Grommet.

Essentially, there's this great group of ladies who scour the web for the best, hottest, newest, and most unique products. Then, they present them in video format. One at a time. One per day.

I like the simplicity of the concept. It only takes a minute to check in and peek at the highlighted product. Watch the video. Add a comment. Enter to win prizes. Move on.

To celebrate the debut of the site, I have two "grommets" (AKA great products) to give away to YOU. One winner will walk away with both of these items...something for the kids and something for mama too!

First up: Haba Wooden PlayScale ($40). Teach your kids about math and science...the fun way! It's the sneaky way to squeeze education in.

Secondarily: Luxe Link Purse Hook ($35). It's a portable, lightweight, and stylish handbag hook that attaches to any table. You don't have to put your purse on the ground (yuck!) any longer...

You can learn more about both products on the Daily Grommet site.

And be sure to check in at DG every day this week because you'll have an opportunity to win a new featured product every day as part of their special Valentine's Day Giveaways promotion.

Here's how to win:  Take a peek at Daily Grommet. Then, leave a comment on this post stating what you like/dislike/are confused about/etc. about the site prior to Tuesday, February 3rd at midnight (Don’t forget to follow the rules…all generic comments like “Enter me!,” “Love it,” and “Cool stuff!” will be disqualified.). * Winner must provide a U.S. mailing address.

*UPDATE* The winner is #47 Shelly. Congratulations!

  1. Yesterday, while I was at work, my sister stole my iphone and tested to see if it can survive a forty foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My apple ipad is now destroyed and she has 83 views. I know this is totally off topic but I had to share it with someone!

  2. Cool site! I do like the videos, but perhaps they could be shortened a bit. It might be nice if you could choose between reading an article about the product or view the video.
Thank you for this generous giveaway!

  3. I love the Daily Grommet for bringing a lil' more magic to my day with all of it's gem of a jewel suggestions! : )))

Thanks so much for this give~away! : )))

  4. It took a few clicks to get a clearer idea about the purpose of the site. At first I thought it was an author web site touting her book then a product demo site that are new on the market. The home page was weak in direction. I hope this helps.

  5. The website seems a bit confusing as though there is too much going on but not quite enough if that makes sense. It's just not as clear as I would like it to be.

  6. I think this is a very cool site but I'm confused about how to enter the giveaways. For the Barak Obama tote I thought you had to leave a comment, Now I think you just have to register and are entered. As far as cool products, I like the snow shovel on a wheel--it could be very handy.

  7. Ok I don't know if it's just me or the site is down, but I tried going to the site, but I am getting page can not be displayed. Clicked through the link on this page and when that didn't work I typed in the address manually. It looks like I am missing out on a great site from the comments above!

  8. I like that the site is easy to navigate and follow. Sometimes it is a little difficult for me to read though, because of the background colors. Thank you,
    Diane

  9. I like the crisp look of it, the videos and how easy it is to navigate. It is a neat way of finding out about unique and interesting products. I look forward to exploring it further.

  10. The site has lots of great information and reviews of great products. and I like the thumbnails of the different products. I do think the font could be a little bigger and it took me a minute or two to figure out where the past reviews were.

  11. I found the site exptremely confusing. What does "grommit" mean? What is the purpose of the site and what is it they want to do?

  12. I think it is a cool idea but I wish it had the past items set up in catogories so it is easier to browse items that you maybe interested in.

  13. Urgh, I hate videos! I like getting information from text and photos. Videos are a waste of time, I can read a lot faster than they present things.

  14. They have a lot of products I've never seen before. I like the videos alright, but I generally prefer text and pictures.

  15. What a great site and I absolutely love their variety of products offered! Thank you so much for a great giveaway :)

  16. I can't get on the internet everyday, but I love that place, so I like how I can look at past grommets. My sister is always sending me new and cool stuff I've never seen before, and now I can send her grommits. She will like that. By the way, I love that scale! I will play with it, forget the kiddies!

  17. OK, I get it now. Once I realized that it shows one product per day, and that you can access past "grommets" via the link at the top of the page, I was sold. I actually really like not having to scroll through dozens of items per day. One item per day means I might actually read it and keep up with it!

  18. Oh I like this site.. I especially like the way their archived grommets have the little visual with the brief description You can then select it to find more info

  19. I don't understand the purpose of the Daily Grommet site. What's a grommet? Who is the site's intended audience. It's unclear just by perusing. Thanks for the giveaway!

  20. This is definitely an interesting idea. I like that I can get it via e-mail. The videos are a nice touch, too. I did not take the site to be a special "deal" of the day, but just an informative "product" of the day, right? And I LOVE the title of the blog...very clever!

  21. I love having a video demonstration. I like today's - WatersEnd Valentines Kit - I have kids and I am always looking for new craft kits to celebrate each separate holiday with them.

  22. I watched the video for today and looked at past grommets. I didn't really care for today's grommet but there were a few others that I did like. I am one of those who really appreciate the video so that if I don't get something it is made clearer for me.

  23. I like how they find the things that aren't all over the Web already. I took a look through the past items and found some great ideas I'd never heard of before.

  24. That's interesting selling only one product a day.
It was a little expensive for me so I take it its not a special deal of the day but new product of the day. I did like the past Grommit chalkboard mat. Thank you!

  25. Interesting idea but I don't really understand the value in buying the "daily grommet", the items are the same price if you bought them somewhere else? I just love that scale!

  26. The DG site is neat! I like the way they have the videos to show the products in use or ideas on how to use the products. It is cool that they feature one product per day, so as not to overwhelm the customers with tons of cool things at once.
The purse hook sure would come in handy - especially now that I have a diaper bag AND a purse that I try to hook onto the back of my chair at restaurants. It is hard to get both to stay! Thanks for such a great contest!

  27. Cool site! I had never heard of a sweater stone/rock before. The purse holders looked neat and the chocolate sauces sounded divine! Thanks fir the great site!

  28. I really like that you can access products featured on past days. I don't usually access any site on a daily basis so I would probably look in more like once a week.

  29. I love the video of the product actually being used. I imagine this feature would be more useful for some products than others. But what better way to really get an idea of what you're buying before you buy it!?

  30. What a neat site! I'm so glad you introduced us to it! I am in love with both the scale and the purse hook (and that must be saying a lot, because I'm so much more of a giant diaper-bag person than a purse person!). I've actually been thinking recently that a scale would be so great to have for math lessons, but I didn't recall ever seeing any children-appropriate scales in all my toy browsing. I just wish I had a birthday coming up for one of my older children, so I could justify a $40 purchase! (But then again, maybe I'll finally get lucky and win one of your giveaways?)

I really loved the Daily Grommet site. I really liked the layout, the ease of finding past items, the tabbed information, and so on. I only had a few things I wish would have been different: 1) I like seeing related comments right there on the same page as the video. I only wish that if you click "read more" on a comment, that it doesn't take you to a new page, and thus interrupt the video progress. I like being able to read and hear a video at the same time, I guess! 2) I wish there was an RSS button prominently on the site. There was an easy access subscribe-by-email option, but I prefer to get everything in my Google Reader. It wasn't difficult to go and add it to my reader myself, but it was an additional step, so it's a minor complaint.

  31. I really like the name. I think grommet is a fun word and it's not one that I get to use too often. I'm not much of one to watch videos online, too impatient, I'd rather just quickly read. I do like though that if I'm confused about a product I get a demonstration. That's handy. I like the previous commenters idea of sorting the grommets, that would make it easier to find things of interest especially as time goes on.

  32. What a cool site. Thanks for the heads up! I love that you can sign up for their daily emails and you're automatically entered into their contests. That's such a great time saver for a busy mom. Their videos are very nicely done and informative.

  33. ohhh i like the daily grommet, i love finding new and different things for my kids, myself and my home (husband too i guess...) so this is perfect for me, i will have to check out the past grommets though, to see more... maybe they can archive their past grommets nto categories, for people like me who like "kids toys" and like to search through those lists around birthdays and christmas time!! Thanks for showing yet another great site!!
