Father's Day Gift Guide: Photofiddle

Father's Day Gift Guide: Photofiddle 1Photofiddle has been featured in the New York Times, USA Today, the Washington Post, and on Oprah's O List...and I am not surprised. AT ALL.

This company is going places and this concept is one that is destined to to make its way into living rooms and bedrooms across the country. Here's how it works: "Photofiddle allows you to create art from photos...Photofiddle will transform any picture into art with over 50 art styles to choose from."

It's easy! All you have to do is:

  1. Upload your photo - any photo (of your newborn baby, your kids playing in the yard, your kindergartner's first day of school, etc.).
  2. Select an art "style" - watercolor, modern art, pencil sketches, oil painting, film strip photo collages, etc.
  3. Choose your display preference - stretched on canvas, framed, or as a poster.
  4. Click "order" and wait anxiously for your artwork to arrive.

Father's Day Gift Guide: Photofiddle 2When my canvas arrived, I opened the box and "oohed" and "ahhhed" at the exquisiteness of the details and the delight of having such a sweet memory immortalized forever. The quality is excellent and the picture just made my heart leap (and still does every time I walk in my daughter's room!). I am now officially saving my pennies because I want a HUGE canvas portrait of our little family for the living room.

You know who else would really love this? Dad! Really! These pieces of artwork are so professional and eye-catching that he would proudly display one of you and/or his sweet kids in his office...and all of his co-workers would be absolutely stunned. Oh, how the compliments would fly!

Check out photofiddle.com. This is one company I am REALLY excited about.

  1. OH my goodness. Could this be any more fabulous??? I have the PERFECT picture to use! I'm your gal for this giveaway for sure! Thanks for a wonderful giveaway.

  2. This really does look like a great company! I can think of so many pictures I would love to have made into canvas works of art ^_^ These would make fantastic gifts.

  3. “Photofiddle allows you to create art from photos…Photofiddle will transform any picture into art with over 50 art styles to choose from.”

  4. This is great, we just had our family photos taken & what better way to display them than with photofiddle. Thanks!!

  5. My hubby is one of those Tough Guy but Super Sentimental types! All he wanted for our anniversary is a formal portrait from our wedding, but I know the perfect photo to go with it--an informal snap of the four of us (hubby, me, and his two children) laughing like maniacs while we hug on the floor of the church, still decked out in our wedding finery. It makes me smile every time I see that photo--so happy, so hopeful, and the beginning of a new family!

  6. I am a photographer and I think this would be an amazing way to showcase my photography. My family is pretty sick of getting 8x10's in a frame as gifts - this would make my mother swoon...

  8. This would make a great gift for my best friend who just bought her first home ~ it's be a great housewarming gift!

  9. We have thousands of travel photos...it would be hard to choose just one, but I've got a couple in mind! Thanks for the offer!

  10. Very cool concept, would love to have pictures done some of these art styles. The filmstrip and the charcoal look really interesting!

  11. This sure beats the normal school picture in the cheapie frame that the grandparents get every year. I will have to bookmark the site and start ordering for Christmas.I'm already thinking how impressive my babies will look on everyones walls.

  13. I love all the options of making a photo into a piece of art for the walls. Of course, like you...I would prefer pics of my family stretched on canvas.

Thank you again for another wonderful opportunity!

  14. I really like that, what a cool idea i have so many pictures that are precious it would be hard to decide which one

  15. I am impressed. I had always seen those kits where you send your photo in for them to make a paint-by-numbers project for you, but really, I'm lazy and I just want it done for me. This sounds like my kind of photo shop. :-)

  16. I believe this will be the first step in the right direction to devoting a section of my house into a shrine for my swimming pool. Yes, I shall blow up the picture of my pool, and give offerings of chlorine tablets and Bud Light each rainy day in hopes that the clouds will dissipate and I can worship my pool in the proper way!

  17. I already know just the photo I would choose to be made into a work of art. This would be perfect because we just moved and I don't have anything on the walls yet!

  18. I love doing photography but you can only hang so many pictures before your home starts looking like a photo album. This takes it one step further and actually makes pictures look like art. I am so excited. I am amazed no one thought of this before. The different styles are so cool. I already know what picture to choose. I have my two boys holding hands looking over a lake in their shorts from the back. It would be so cool to take that picture the extra step. Especially since we have just redone our bedroom and were looking for art.

  19. My Parents would love this. We recently move over 1300 miles away from them this past year and they are unable to fly out to see our three girls this would make them very happy.

  20. Awesome prize! Those are absolutely great! What a terrific gift for any occasion. I know of at least three pictures that would look gorgeous done.

  21. These would make great art in my home and gifts! Such great gifts! I need to get out my camera and start snapping. Thanks!

  22. I would love to try a photofiddle canvas. I would have one done of my brand new nephew, Joao Michael, for his parents, my brother and his wife. He was just born 5/27.

  23. Wow, what a cool thing to have in your home or to present a family member with as a gift. This is the first time that I've seen this and definitely going to be checking it out.

  24. So different , I would love to have a picture of all my children in this format. I have never seen this before . Its a work of art , count me in to win

  25. Wow, the variety of technique choices is great! I really like the colorized B&W photo they show in their gallery as well. Very unique idea; they'd make a wonderful gift.

  26. That is so creative and a different way to display photographs! I would love to win this so I could do a picture of my daughter. These would make great gifts as well.

  27. I think my sister in law would love to take one of her pics of her son and put it onto canvas, so I hope I can win it for her.

  28. I have this wonderful picture of my husband and two older sons holding out newest addition in the delivery room, I wouuld love to see it on canvas!

  29. This looks awesome, I would love to have such a nice portrait of my kids. You have such a cool job that you get to try out all these great products. :)

  30. I would love to have this. I recently lost my 18-year-old cat, Jake, and I really miss him so; to have a photo of him on canvas would be something I could treasure always.

  31. Hmmm, I hope my favorite photo can be blown up to this size if I win ... what a great giveaway.

  32. What a fantastic idea! For Christmas I ordered a larg (16*10, I believe) print of a photo of my son that I adore. It hangs on our wall now, and one day will go in his nursery :)

  33. I would love to win this!! My sister in law had one done of my mother that passed in February and I would love one of my own.

  34. This really is fabulous! What a great idea for a contest/giveaway, but one of those companies and sites I had to take note of just in case as I absolutely can't let them slip by! What a wonderful place to have available to take the simple but fabulous and perfect snapshot you got lucky enough to capture and have them immotalize it into something even more breath taking and special? Just so lovely for gift giving, for preserving a special time, -- for so many things. I can't thank you enough for sharing about it!

  35. We really could use this! What a wonderful give away! I have so many great photos to choose from too! Thanks!

  36. My husband and I have two little dogs (our only "kids"). Last Christmas, I discovered Photofiddle and got him a large piece made from a picture of our oldest doggie.....he loved it, and it's hanging in our living room now. (compliments galore, by the way). His birthday is in August, and I would love to be able to give him a piece of similar artwork made from a picture of our other dog. I know he would be absolutely thrilled!!

  37. I would absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE to give my husband a beautiful masterpiece of our 3 boys!!! And my father would love one also.

  38. This would be so awesome. We actually had professional photos that were "watercolored" several years back, of my daughter in her ballet outfit when she was about 5. They turned out SO good but cost about 400.00 so....this is a great alternative!!

  39. What a terrific prize. I take lots of pictures and have a few that I truly treasure. This would be an awesome way to display them.

  40. I would love to win this! I would use a picture of all 3 of my kids together goofing around!! Thanks for the great giveaway!

  41. Wow! A company that will fulfill, I fell for an photo to art deal on a popular shopping network on the television, I was billed, sent in my photo (with delivery confirmation by the way) and never received my art! After a long battle I got my money back, but never tried anything like this again. Seeing this made me misty for the piece I was trying to have made with family members that I have lost, this would literally blow me away if I won!

  42. we have one of these and we just love it!! everyone who comes over comments on it!! i would love to win one to have one made for my mom!
    thanks!

  43. My portrait would be of my beautiful 2 year old dog Schatzie. She is such a part of my family. I would just adore a picture of her on canvas. Thanks for the giveaway. Hug your pet today and every day.

  44. I have to agree with many here who posted. This is such a unique idea. I love that you can use more that one photo for a project. That makes choosing a wee bit easier.

  45. K, I'm back again checking out your neat web site and saw this terrific giveaway. You always have the best giveaways. Anyway, I would love to have a "real" portrait of my son, his wife and their two adorable little girls to hang above my fireplace. I know if I win this giveaway, there's going to be a fight as to who gets to keep the portrait, LOL. Lovely oil painted portrait, oh my. Another wonderful company that is truly on the edge. I wonder if they offer company stock shares??

  46. How cool is this giveaway! I would love to do a canvas of my little girl. We have so many great pictures of her.

  47. Hi, What a wonderful giveaway drawing prize. This canvas would look great hanging above as you come in our entryway. Please enter me in your drawing. I thank you.....Cindi

  48. that is really cool my dad would love to have something like this of my sisters kids..... Would make a great fathers day gift....

  49. I can't even begin to say how awesome it would be to own a portrait like this of our family. I am huge into pictures! I find fewer things more meaningful than pictures, they truly do capture the moment in time. My poor sons will some day be embarrassed by our "Portrait wall". Oh well, they make me happy and they remind me of every stage in their little life......priceless. These are pricey so I have to stick with my "paper" portraits for now, but someday I'll get one!

  50. Cherished photos + fine art = a spot on my wall!! What an exquisite idea. Thanks for featuring...hope I get lucky on this one!

  51. What a neat idea. I would love a portrait of all my kids on one. Though my husband and I would fight over where we get to put it. Thanks.

  52. It is absolutely amazing to me what they can do with technology these days! I feel very guilty because we have never had a professional picture of our toddler done, but we have taken over a thousand pictures of him since he was born. Having a pic like this would help my non professional photo taking guilt, LOL. I think it would also be an awesome gift for the grandparents!

Also, one more thing, not at all related to this giveaway, Stephanie, are you on twitter? Just curious!

  53. I was just thinking about how nice it would be to get a family portrait done and of course getting some great shots of my kiddies! And the thought of putting them on canvas or even nicely framed would be a huge bonus!

  54. This company is awesome!! I can't wait to get one of our pictures done, whether or not we win your contest. My husband will love it!

  55. Beautiful!! I have seen these before but never done them, wow it turned out wonderful!!! What a great present! I would love one! :)

  56. I have seen a painting done by this company. It turned out great! How long does it take to get your painting or canvas once you order it?

  57. I'd love to win this and have a beautiful picture of my daughter with my new baby coming in August! Please enter me!

  58. What a great idea. I'd love to try one with my daughter's picture. Just gotta narrow it down to one. Thanks so much for the opportunity.

  59. This is a great prize! Today's my birthday and I'd love to be able to be able to make some personalized art as a birthday gift!

  60. I have never heard of this kind of thing. I think it's awesome!!!

Thank you for the great giveaway!

  61. I long time ago I had a photo stretched to canvas and I love it. It would be great to have another.
    gkstratos @yahoo.com

  62. I've been dying to have a picture of me and my hubby for our apartment, what better way to get one then this?

  63. Checked these out after the presentation on the Today Show -- would love the opportunity to actually own one!

  64. I'd love to get a wedding photo printed out on canvas like this, it would look incredible hung up on the wall!

  65. What a beautiful way to show off a photo picture! This would be great to add to my new home and some bare walls lol.

  66. That is so awesome, I've always thought it would be awesome to have a portrait done and that's a perfect gift for a parent. I know which one of my baby pictures I'd use too.

  67. I've always thought it would be cool to have a portrait painted of our children - or a family one. Sounds like this might be an affordable way to have that done.

  68. NICE, THANK YOU FOR THE CONTEST! I HAVE THE PERFECT PHOTO OF MY FOUR KIDS PLAYING IN THE SNOW>>GEE I EVEN KNOW WHERE I WOULD HANG IT! I NEED TO WIN... KISSES

  69. A photoof your child stretched on canvas sounds so artsy. I like that it would have texture instesd of being a flat glossy photo. A definite heirloom!

  70. K, I really want this one. Not that I don't really want all of the stuff you give away, but this comes near the top (after the cruise, of course!). The two in your girly's room are adorable and I want some too. I have a small jealousy issue with you 'cause of all the awesome stuff you get. Don't worry, I'll live, and I won't covet too much. :) Thanks for giving some away!

  71. Very cool. You are right on the money in describing this company as right on the cutting edge. Now, which pictures to try this with....Soooo many pictures. jeaninertl @ yahoo . com

  72. wow, the stretched canvases look really nice. I might actually have to get a family portrait taken! I don't think there has been a single picture taken of all of us since the day we became a four-person family. Sad, but true.

  73. After moving into our new home, we finally got all the renovations done and now we are at the fun stage of accesorizing! Part of that includes his office wall art and this would be lovely for a canvas painting of his long gone mom and dad.

I searched and searched for just the right fireplace art and I do love it but I wish I had known about this!
Thanks again for another great giveaway and heads up!

  74. Wow, lots going on at your site today!
I have several photos in mind for this kind of project and oh boy, the finished product on canvas would make an awesome gift - but I don't think I could bear to part with it!

  75. Just wanted to say thanks for stopping by my blog. I am new to your site since the Anne of GG post.
Never visited a site like yours before. I look forward to becoming a frequent visitor.

  76. Having seen this in person, I KNOW these are awesome. Im definitely going to check them out!

  77. Oh I love these. I really like the oil painting style for portraits. It really makes a picture look so special.

  78. This has to be my most favorite thing I have seen lately! I would have a serious issue trying to figure out just ONE picture to do this with.

  79. I have a favorite photo from our wedding that I would love to print on a canvas. It's a close-up candid shot of us just after we'd kissed, and I think it shows the emotions of that day better than any of the "posed" photos.

  80. Oh my goodness - my birthday is this month, and I would flip for this. I might even be able to talk my husband into having someone take a new family picture of us.
