Fitness Tip #3: Wear Cute Workout Clothes

Not only are "real" workout clothes more flattering than your ratty t-shirts and sweats, they'll also make you feel more athletic and they are typically more functional. For example, a moisture wicking shirt will likely be more comfortable than a cotton tee and running pants will probably flow better than your baggy pajama pants.

Since its winter, I thought I'd spotlight an outfit for colder weather. It actually snowed here yesterday and it's currently 49 degrees (Brrrr...laugh if you will...I'm an Arizona girl).

Today I'm giving away my favorite winter workout outfit to one of my loyal readers courtesy of Brooks Running...

First, for the buttom, I recommend Energy Flare pants. They're stretchy, but not skin tight. They flare, but they don't trip you up either.Fitness Tip #3: Wear Cute Workout Clothes 1

Second, for the top, I recommend Energy 3/4. It's soft, the "cap" sleeve design is nice, and the 3/4 sleeve length is flattering.Fitness Tip #3: Wear Cute Workout Clothes 2

You can check out more great options from Brooks Running (I love this run skort and this Equilibrium SS shirt) on their site. If online shopping isn't your thing, you can find a retailer near you.

WIN IT! There will be two winners. One mama will win the Energy Flare Pants (Size: L, Color: Shadow) and another mama will win the Energy 3/4 shirt (Size M, Color: Violet). To enter, simply leave a comment stating which item you prefer on this post prior to Wednesday, Feb. 20. Remember, you must either post the Get Fit in February button on your blog or e-mail 5 of your friends about the promotion to be eligible! 1. I love both!
If I won the pants..i'd keep them for myself. If I won the shirt then my teenager would love to have it. Cool giveaway! thanks :)

  2. I'd like the pants, because there are some days when shaving my legs is not on the agenda, and long pants come in handy.

I sent an email to five peeps!

    Thanks.

  3. I would love to win the pants. Thank you for sharing. Oh...just so you know, it has not been all that warm here in AZ lately but we are starting to show signs of sunny weather again.

  4. I would love to try those pants, I'm always looking for newer and better versions and Brooks is fantastic! Thanks for the entry :)

  5. I emailed 5 friends. I love the shirt for sure!! Definitely less frumpy than my regular wear- theres a reason I walk at 5 am=)

  6. I would LOOOOVE to have the pants... my boobs are way too big for a size M shirt though I wish it would fit.. lol (my mom would love it but she can get her own.. LOL) I love the fact that they dont look like workout gear so we could go for our walks and then go grocery shopping without looking frumpley.

I did blog you too http://www.prizeatron.com

  8. I'd love the shirt! I currently work out in a sports bra & no shirt, which is fine for my living room, but not something I want to do in public! :)

  9. I'd love the shirt. I like the colors! It's nice to have quality workout clothes. It's similar to how a great dress makes you feel--just a tad little bounce added to the steps!
