FOR KIDS: Tooth Tunes toothbrushes

FOR KIDS: Tooth Tunes toothbrushes 1"Hakuna Matata!
What a wonderful phrase
Hakuna Matata!
Ain't no passing craze
It means no worries
For the rest of your days"

That's what our 2-year-old daughter hears every night after bathtime when she brushes her teeth...thanks to Tooth Tunes Junior, a toothbrush specially designed with young brushers in mind. The brush plays music for one minute to encourage a longer brushing routine and also incorporates in phrases to motivate kids to "keep going." Our only critique is that the brush is a little bulky for her small mouth, but that's a minor complaint. We're just glad that our daughter enjoys brushing her teeth (after all, healthier teeth will equal less pain for her and more $$$ savings for us in the future...).

The "older sibling" of Tooth Tunes Junior - Turbo Tooth Tunes - is quite similar, but with more "grown up" song choices (...choose from artists like the Jonas Brothers and Ashley Tisdale) and a 2-minute tune time.

At $9.99 each, this is an excellent stuffer for toddlers all the way up to tweens.

WIN IT! Three winners will each receive a Tooth Tunes prize pack with one Turbo Tooth Tunes brush and one Tooth Tunes Junior brush. To enter, leave a comment on this post stating which songs you would choose and/OR what song(s) you WISH Tooth Tunes offered prior to Monday, December 15 at midnight (don’t forget to follow the rules). * Winner must provide a U.S. mailing address.

  1. which songs you would choose and/OR what song(s) you WISH Tooth Tunes offered

I wish they had "Splish Splash" (I was taking a bath)...mainly because my son brushes his teeth in the shower frequently so this would be perfect, plus it is an upbeat song.

As for the ones we can choose from I would definitely pick "Queen- We Will Rock You" as Queen is a favorite between my 9 year old and my husband, they rock out to it frequently.

Thank you for the chance to win.

Happy Holidays to you and yours :)

  2. My granddaughter would love one of these, probably the Lion King, since she loves that movie. Thanks for having the contest!

  3. WOW this is great I would probably choose the Lion king song. But would love one for me with Jimmy Buffet-- Its 5 oclock somewhere!

  4. We would probably go with Hakuna Matata since the Lion King is a big deal in our house -- although I would like We Will Rock You even better :-)

  5. I would choose the Hannah Montana and High School Musical songs. I wish that they offered songs from some of the Noggin shows because my little ones love that channel.

  6. My granddaughter will be seeing "The Lion King" on Broadway in February, and she loves the music from the show. I'm sure that she would really love to brush her teeth to the music!

  7. For the junior brush, I would choose Lion King, "Can't wait to Be King" and for the regular brush, I like "Devo"'s brush your teeth (to the tune of Whip It). It's very funny.

  8. I love these toothbrushes so much. There are so many different songs I would choose. I love Destiny's Child Survivor, DEVO Brush It, The Beach Boys Fun Fun Fun, Vanessa Hudgens Come Back To Me, the Black Eyed Peas Let's Get It Started and the Them Song from 'Rocky' Gonna Fly Now. This is a great giveaway and I really hope I win especially since I love these toothbrushes so much. Thanks.

  9. My son loves music and right now we sing to him while he is brushing to make sure that he brushes long enough, so this would be a great gift for him. Not to mention that we wouldn't be required to stand there while he brushes anymore.

  10. My son is 1 and now is brushing his teeth but I need something to make him want to do it more and the music will help

  11. I think "If You're Happy and You Know it" would be good for my daughter...I'm just afraid she might drop the toothbrush while clapping her hands! There are lots of good songs though, so we could always play another!

  12. Lion king - any song or the jungle book's bare necessities, we will rock you, if you're happy and you know it - brush your teeth

  13. My son's favorite movie is The Jungle Book, so we'd have to get Bare Necessities. I've looked at these in the stores, but the song selections our store carries seems to be slim pickings! My son already loves to brush his teeth, so this would make it even more exciting!

  14. I would choose the Lion King for any one of my 3 kids. They love Disney movies and would enjoy the entertainment during brush time.

  15. How fun! My girls would love these. I think they would love if Eric Herman's Elephant Song was on it. They would be so distracted by the song that they wouldn't even know they were brushing. (Its actually 3 minutes long though, so they'd brush a little extra)

  16. I Have to say, I would have to go with The Lion King, too! Hakuna Matata is such a fun song. And many of the songs I would stay far, far, away from (like anything Hannah Montana.)

Would love to try one of these!

  17. I would totally get "You Can't Touch This" for my 2 year old son. When his younger brother (9 months) gets all squirmy on the changing table, I'll say "STOP! Hammer Time!" And I'll hum some of the tune and then say "That's how we livin' and you know..." and my son will finish with "Don't touch it!" (Instead of you can't touch this). I'm actually laughing right now just thinking about it. I wasn't that big of an McHammer fan but for some reason my husband got it in my head one day and I can't get it out. Everytime I say "Stop" it comes out.

  18. High School Musical 2 "All for One" would be great for my granddaughter who could use some encouragement in the area of toothbrushing!

  19. glad I am not the only one who puts toothbrushes in the stockings- these all look great- rock and roll all night would be fun

  20. My seven year old grandson would love Rock and Roll All Night, because he's a fan of Kiss.

  21. Love the toothbrush and love the idea! I'd choose If You're Happy and You Know It and Lion King.
Thank you for the great giveaway.

  22. "We Will Rock You" for the pre-teen and "Hakuna Matata" for our 5-year-old.

Although, if they are going to have any "Jungle Book" song, they should have gone for "I Wanna Be Like You" - our kids LOVE that song.

  23. I know my daughter would take ANY Hannah Montana song or pop song, but I'd love it if they had "Age of Aquarius." My daughter is going to be in her school play and sings this all the time. I think she'd like to brush her teeth to it.

  24. My girls would love a disney princess song but I would love if you could upload your own song. I have a toothbrushing song I made up and it would cool to set it to music and have it play on the toothbrush

  25. My son's favorite movie right now IS Lion King, so I would pick Hakuna Matata, as well!

He would be thrilled to get this in his stocking!

Thanks for the chance to win!

  26. We'd pick "If You're Happy and You Know It" as one of our songs, and "We Will Rock You" as the other -- and I sure wish they had songs from The Little Mermaid or Cinderella!
    Thanks!

  27. What a great idea! Definitely Queen's We Will Rock You, and I also liked Kelly Clarkson's Walk Away. I think my youngest might also like the theme from My Little Pony! Great giveaway - thanks for offering!

  28. I would love to get one of these for my 6 year old daughter. We have a real hard time getting her to brush her teeth, maybe one of these would motivate her into doing it right. She would love either Rock Star by Hannah Montana or Hold On by The Jonas Brothers. Thanks so much for such a wonderful giveaway!

  29. So, I think I walked past these in Target just a couple of hours ago. I didn't stop to look too closely b/c I was afraid that my daughter would want to take it with her. Now, I've just checked out their site and that's WILD how it works. Does it for real go into your head through your teeth or did I miss the part where that's just a joke? If I had to pick tunes I think I'd pick Hakuna Matata b/c Allison has recently discovered an old Disney CD of mine that includes this song and likes to dance to it. If I got to pick for me I'd pick Smash Mouth.

  30. I would choose 'walking on sunshine' and my 2 year old REALLY needs this to keep brushing! Its a (twice) daily challenge for us!

  31. I really like the my little pony one and the rockin all night long. This would be awesome for my little one she hates brushing her teeth but loves music. What a great compromise.

  32. My kids have been bugging me for one of these ever since seeing them at the store. Especially my son who hates brushing his teeth (I'm always looking for ways to make it "fun". I was already planning on adding them to their stockings.

  33. Blondie is constantly running around the house singing Queen's "We Will Rock You," so I would choose that one for her. Cheeks doesn't have a musical preference that I know of yet, so this one might be a fight; I love the Lion King but my hubby has memorized all of the songs from Jungle Book. He might win "Bare Necessities" on that one...

  34. I would go with the song Hakuna Matata.. that song is sure to bring a smile to your face. My son would love to have this, as well as my daughter who enjoys getting a hold of her brothers toothbrush and running with it. Oh the joy of my babies!! Thanks for the chance.

  35. We got a cute tooth-timer from the dentist that my son loves to turn over and watch the tooth spin around while the red goo drips down for a minute, but this sounds even cuter! My little Holly would like "Mah-na, Mah-na", though...

  36. So smart! If it was for my listening pleasure I'd choose KISS Rock n Roll All Night, but I'm sure K'd prefer one of the Hannah Montana songs...maybe I could convince her to go with the Kelly Clarkson Walk Away.

  37. My son would love these! We have been looking all over for the “Hakuna Matata" All we can find are the older kids ones! He loves Lion King!
    Thanks for the great giveaway!!!

  38. Love this! I've been eying tooth tunes for a while, wanting to try them to see how they work, but they've never had any songs that appealed to me or the age of my kids. Now they do! Tough choice for songs. I like the Theme from Rocky.. but for my kids I'd be more inclined to with We Will Rock You from Queen (They're not familiar with Lion King or Jungle Book, and I didn't care for the rendition of "If You're Happy And You Know It"). They should incorporate other well-known kid songs, maybe Little Mermaid, or Nickelodeon type songs (Spongebob would be an instant hit, for instance!).

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  39. That is an awesome idea. I sing to my son every time that we brush his teeth. But it is more along the lines of, "we've got to brush, brush, brush all the chocolate milk away." Yes, we made up a stupid song for brushing away whatever item he had last. So any song sounds great if I dont have to sing it.

  40. Both my girls would LOVE to get these. fun fun fun would be a great one, as well as bare necessities. I would probably have to hide the toothbrushes between brushings or they would be dragged all around the house. ;) Cute idea!
