Keep Track of Birthdays with the NeuYear Calendar :: GIVEAWAY

I try to keep track of birthdays, but sometimes it seems a gigantic task. My solution? A GIGANTIC calendar.

Keep Track of Birthdays with the NeuYear Calendar :: GIVEAWAY 1 Keep Track of Birthdays with the NeuYear Calendar :: GIVEAWAY 2

Expansive and impressive, the NeuYear calendar features 52 weeks, with no gaps, so that you can look ahead easily without flipping a page. You can hang it horizontally or vertically with any standard poster anchors.

I especially appreciate the BIG-ness of the calendar. With one glance, I can see the whole year and there's plenty of room to insert birthdays for lots of people.

Of course, you're free to use it for much more than birthdays - but I'm choosing to use it exclusively for that purpose. I prefer a wall version to online options because it allows for our girls to equally participate in the birthday-scheming. Also, it's one LESS thing for me to have to consult my computer for (which is nice since I work from home).

Although I'm not a meticulous party planner, I do like celebrating lives - the wonder and miracle of each individual. In 2012, I want to get better about doing small things for family + friends on birthdays...a card, a bottle of wine, a box of cookies, a chocolate bar, something like that. I might even "get crazy" and give you a call. ;)

How do YOU keep track of birthdays? Do you use an electronic or print system?

  1. Ha! Thank you for sharing this! As you know, I would enjoy trying this method too! (Although I'm not quite certain where I would hang it...). I'm not crazy about any electronic calendars I've found (including Facebook) for many of the same reasons- especially keeping track of friends' kids' special days. Great idea!

  2. I miss birthdays All the time :) I could use one of these calenders to go with my personal organizer.

  3. I used to have a larger calender on my desk but my kids always got stuff on it or colored on it. I have been trying the calender on my phone recently.

  4. I love this type of calendar. I've always wanted one. I have regular ones, but it's nice to be able to glance at it and see this further down the line. Thanks!

  5. I love that this shows the entire year at one glance. I am a teacher and would love this in my classroom.

  6. I've always been one of those overly organized people :-) before I had events, with reminders, set in my Outlook I had them written in my actuall monthly wall calendar...I look ahead each month and buy all the cards for the next 4-5 weeks at one time. Then I go home and label/address them all, including postage if needed. I put them in my letter sorter with my bills so I could go through each week and see what needs to be sent out/given for the upcoming week. I even have a file drawer for greeting cards to keep extras on hand or if I buy some on sale/clearance for a special occasion or if I see the perfect card for someone specific. It's organized by month and then type ex: birthday , thank you, blank. I should probably do a post on this...I forget that most people don't think like me! The only time I lost my greeting card mojo was when I was pregnant and the first few months after :-)

    1. So impressed by your system! I'd like to implement something like that. Thanks for sharing what works for you.

  7. I would love this calendar. I always forget dr. appt. more than birthdays. I can keep track of them a little better on Facebook but there is no where for dr.'s

  8. This looks like something that would definitely help us keep organized! I love how easy it is to see everything at a glance. We've been using an online calendar and it works okay but we are always on the lookout for something that works better. Thanks for sharing.

  9. I have been using a Franklin Covey calendar year after year and I love it. I do have to transfer all my stuff to the family calendar too but I have to one that I can take with me in the car. I agree with Wendy, I tried Google calendar but I just can't go digital with that. I love to erase and quickly make changes. Everything has to be written in pencil though!

  10. I much prefer to have a calendar or paper listing of some sort for birthdays and special dates. The online/electronic ones just don't seem to work for me at all. Maybe I'm just old fashioned. :)

  11. I think Facebook has been my best way at keeping up with birthdays for those who are on there, but something like this would definitely help me to be more organized for ALL those I love.

    Thanks for the opportunity!

  12. These definitely look amazing - I am spotty about keeping track of birthdays/events - some are online some I just remember, some creep up on me and I am belated so this would be great!
Is it just paper? do you recycle it after the year is over?

      1. oh that sounds nice! (I like the new commenting reply email - what plugin are you using? It's a lot "cleaner" than some of the ones I've tried... but can you reply to the comment via email or do you have to come back to your post each time? Just curious - I am trying to find one that works for me!).

        1. It's called "comment-reply-notification." Tim manages all of that stuff (and he does have some concerns about it....it's outdated), but the plug-in is working for now.

  13. I have an obsession with calendars. I have a zillion up in my cube at work and at home. I also carry one with me in my purse lol But for some reason, I don't write down birthdays! lol I just let facebook tell me whose birthdays it is.

  14. Oh my gosh, I love this! I always start the new year with a desk planner and then it goes by the wayside around this time. The straightforward design of this calendar is genius.

  15. I have no space for this so please don't enter me. But I keep a wall calendar that is pretty much just for this. I've switched to using Google calendar so much (mainly because I can share it with my hubby and family), but I still like having real calendars with pretty pictures around. And the process of transferring birthdays from one year to the next makes me think of people and look back over my year. Towards the end of the month though I have to remember to check the next month otherwise I switch months and find, whoops, someone's birthday is in the first few days and now I'm late with a card or present planning! ;)

  16. I use my gmail calendar and have for years ...it sends me an email reminder and the alerts are easy to set ....and, it will remind me every year instead of just once.

  17. I don't have a system for keeping track of birthdays, but I totally need one. What usually happens is my husband and I walk through Target and while we are close to the cards I ask him if anyone's birthday is coming up and we have a quick discussion, but often miss a birthday or two or 5 and I hate it. This would be great.

  18. What a great giveaway! Keeping track of birthdays is something I am always re-organizing, much like my paper filing system.

  19. I'm a slight bit embarrassed that I use Facebook to catch the majority of non-family birthdays. Which of course doesn't leave any time to do more than leave a post, send a text, or make a call. I try to use my Google calendar, but I've already created so many different calendars for different things that it's too much!

    1. I have used Facebook in the past too, but have been disappointed in that approach because it's not truly "comprehensive" - especially because most of our elderly relatives are not on FB. Also, I want to be able to track kids' birthdays too! :)

  20. What a fantastic calendar! I use Google Calendar to organize my life, but like you, I'd love to put birthdays on a wall calendar so the whole family can be aware and involved. We just moved to a new house, and now we've got the perfect spot for a large calendar like this.

  21. I love birthdays. I want to do more, too... Seems like in this stage of life, I realize it WAS someone's birthday a few days after the fact. This is nice because you don't have to remember to turn pages month to month (which I frequently do). :)

  22. This looks awesome. I love calendars and planners! They help me feel a sliver of control in this crazy life!

  23. I have this wicked memory and birthdays are one of those things I seem to have instant recall on. Even then, I put it all in my Outlook Contacts list so I can get a reminder in time to mail or call.

  24. Hey ! Great idea! I have missed many Birthdays including my own before. Missing my own didn't really matter that much to me, but I hate it when I miss my niece and nephews and great nieces and nephews. I want to be a good Aunt!.
