Morning Sickness Remedies (Plus, a giveaway!)

Morning Sickness Remedies (Plus, a giveaway!) 1
Morning Sickness Remedies (Plus, a giveaway!) 2I could probably write up a very descriptive narrative here about how nauseous and horrible I felt during the first trimester of my pregnancy, but I won't for the sake of my readers who are currently experiencing it. I remember that any small mention of something disgusting could potentially send me over the edge (or over the toilet, to be more exact).

Thus, I'll spare you the details and provide solutions instead.

Julie Davine, Vice President of Three Lollies, said that "approximately 70 percent of women experience morning sickness during pregnancy." She explained that, "For most [women], it disappears after the first trimester, but for others, it can last much longer or even the entire pregnancy." Many sources state that morning sickness usually starts in the first month of pregnancy, peaking in the fifth to seventh weeks, and continues until the 14th to 16th week.

Davine explained that Preggie Pops and Preggie Drops are one possible remedy for emesis gravidarum (the medical term for nausea and vomiting during pregnancy). The drops and pops are made with all-natural ingredients (including essential oils) and are completely drug-free.

Other tips for combatting "morning" sickness from the Three Lollies website include:
1. Avoid large meals, greasy foods, and strong smelling foods.
2. Mix salty and tart foods.
3. Eat a snack of protein and carbohydrates.
4. Keep a non-perishable snack next to your bed and eat it before you get up for the day.
5. Get some fresh air.

WIN IT! There will be two winners for this giveaway. One winner will receive a Preggie Pop Drops container (21 pieces) and a second winner will receive a Preggie Pops box (7 lollipops). To enter, simply leave a comment and your e-mail address on this post before Monday, November 5, at midnight. The winner will be contacted by e-mail and announced on this site on Tuesday, November 6. *Winner must provide a U.S. mailing address.

  11. I highly recommend the Preggie Pop Drops to pregnant women. I tried both the pops and the drops, but I liked the flavor of the drops better (the lavender- and ginger-flavored pops kind of freaked me out; I've got to admit I never tried them). I used them throughout my whole first pregnancy!
