Mother's Day Giveaway: Undercover Mama

I like the IDEA of nursing clothes. That said, I've discovered that nursing-specific clothes tend to be either frumpy or expensive (or both).

Now, however, there's another solution...Undercover Mama.

  1. I haven't tried undercover. I never nursed my daughter, but I will nurse #2.
I like Peek-A-Boo and Glamourmom, but that's all I've tried so far. OH and Japanese Weekend!

  2. This looks awesome. I am currently nursing and have never tried nursing clothes. I usually am wrestling around with a nursing cover... and my daughter is at the age that she likes to flail around under the cover...which doesn't always work in my favor in public. ;) This seems like a pretty good solution.

  3. I'm just now buying nursing tops (I'm due in July), and I have not tried this brand, though it's on my list of "go to nursing wear". Thank you for the lovely giveaway.

  4. My husband is bound and determined that when the baby comes I am going to breast feed, he wasnt breast fed and has some health issues related to his immune system and swears that its because he was bottle fed. When we were discussing breast feeding I mentioned how it would be hard to do it, as a mom to be that will constantly be on the go, he was showing me products that makes breast feeding easier and there you guys were... It would be awsome to win this because then he would feel like his researched helped seal the deal (he doesnt know I already decided I was going to breast feed)

  5. This looks perfect - I hate to use a nursing cover, so I usually just layer a regular shirt over a nursing cami, but I think this would be even better. BTW, I'm almost 3 months pregnant again!

  6. Can I just say whoever came up with this is a GENIUS! Only wish I would have thought of it. It's nice to see fashion and clothes that mold and shape with the woman and they don't look frumpy! This would be perfect for the new mom. I know this winter one of these would come in handy! Keeping my fingers crossed.

  7. Always need more nursing gear! Love the idea of turning any shirt into a nursing shirt by covering up the belly area with one of these.

  8. When I was nursing Lily I used the layers mentioned above, nursing bra, cami that I could easily pull down from the top and then a shirt on top and then I did not need a nursing cover b/c you never saw anything. It was much easier than dealing with a cover.

  9. I lived in nursing tanks when I was nursing my daughter, but they didn't provide as much support as I would have liked. What a great idea that you can just attach this to your favorite bra because I often found myself wearing a nursing bra and nursing tank - then there were double the snaps to deal with!

  10. yes! I have a two week old and I got home from the hospital and realized I needed a whole new wardrobe just to nurse. Which of course I can't afford, much less WANT to spend money on.

  11. I could really use this. I have no "nursing" shirts to use with my 7 week-old son and have just been using low-cut shirts.

  12. I've never tired Undercover and I have been very fortunate to try a variety of nursing brands because all of my friends share their hand-me-downs. I haven't found anything I really love yet although this sounds interesting.

  13. I splurged and bought a few items from GAP.com and seriously hate them. The nursing tanks and t-shirt I bought are all so thin and sheer that one can see right through them. They have all become sleep wear.

I did however, find a GREAT nursing tank top at Target for around $17. I bought one and LOVED IT. I was washing it every other day and found that I wanted to wear it alllll the time. I went back and bought one in every color they had! Since I wear tanks under almost all of my clothes these days, these things have saved my life.

I honestly don't even know where else to look for nursing clothes. I need a few more basics and am unsure where to even find pieces!! help?

  14. That's a cool idea. I share your opinion on nursing clothes. They are generally so frumpy, and the only really stylish ones I've seen are so very expensive.

  15. I love that idea. I've never really had any nursing tops, but I can see that this would make breastfeeding not only easier but also more modest.

  16. With my third on the way, I would love to have another piece in my nursing arsenal. As it is, I use a regular tank under all my clothes and pull it down a bit to nurse so I don't have to show my belly. This causes some stretching though, so this would be great!11

  17. This looks so neat! I always feel like I have to expose my stomach when I go to feed my little guy. what a great idea!

  18. i love the idea of this tank and would love to try it out (expecting our 2nd in Sept.) With our first, I wore a nursing tank from Target at home, but it wasn't supportive enough to wear out. An idea passed along to me recently … continue wearing your Be Band under your clothes … coverage, warmth, and convenience!

  19. I have not worn nursing clothes yet (expecting my first this year), but I do have concerns about looking frumpy. I like that this could make my normal clothes into nursing clothes...and hopefully I'll find some cute nursing tops too when the time comes :)

  20. What a cool idea! And I love her company name. I wear lots of nursing tanks and tops, but most of them were Christmas gifts. I guess I view it almost the same as suits and ties for my husband-it's my work uniform and worth a little extra if necessary to be functional! That being said, I but clearance tops from Motherwear and even got a bunch of nursing tops from Old Navy.com for $7 each by combining a sale, coupon, and free shipping deal! But deals like that are rare and I'd definitely use a tank like this!

  21. Is it sad that I pretty much wear a nursing tank every single day of the year. It just makes nursing in public so much easier and no one accidentally gets a peak at my stretch-marked belly. The downside of the nursing tank is they don't have nearly as much support as an actual bra. When I wear an actual nursing bra I'm always amazed at how much better I look. I really should get one these!

  22. Holy smokes, this product looks fantastic! I hate buying nursing clothes because they usually make me feel like a cow, or they are HORRIBLY expensive! I like bravado bra's since they are so comfy, but really they are the only company of note that I wear and honestly they are expensive and one of the bra's I got there was uncomfortable. I DO like the look of Cake lingerie, but again I can't afford them.

  23. I've seen this before, but never tried it. I'd be curious to see how it works with babe #2 in November!

  24. I haven't tried this. I do have some nursing cami's from Bravado that I typically wear under my normal shirts. I actually only have one nursing bra that I wear - it's a Bravado also and it works ok but I don't really like it. I've yet to find a nursing bra for my larger size that is comfortable and works well. This is probably because I refuse to order a dozen or so different bras off the internet just to have to go through the hassle (and expense) of returning them all.

I agree that most "nursing" tops tend to be frumpy or expensive. I have a couple shirts that I purchased off Etsy that I really like and are easy to nurse in (but I would wear them even if I wasn't nursing.)

  25. Wow. I've never seen that kind of nursing clothing! I'm not nursing a baby right now, but my sil is, and that would be a great gift for her!!!

  26. That's interesting. I usually wear a camisole, for that reason. I found one that stretches enough at the top that I can wear it over my nursing bra. But this is a fantastic concept. Have you used it?

  27. I have never really found nursing clothing or bras/tanks that I really truely like. Some are just better then others. This is an interesting concept, would love to try it.

  28. I only have nursing bras and some stretchy tanks for nursing. This would be super helpful!

  29. Had I known about these I can bet you I would have owned at least 4! I purchased cheap spaghetti strap tanks and pulled them down over my breast while nursing. I love the idea of hiding all the other parts that are not necessary!

My best friend is pregnant with her first and I can bet she would love these!

  30. I rarely ever wear nursing shirts as I don't like the look of them (frumpy, almost "maternityish") but I have heard of this and always been interested in if it works!

  31. I am always looking for new things that might help my oldest daughter who is a stay at home nursing mommy and think shed find this clothing amazing.

  32. I haven't tried this product yet, but I think it's amazing and a great idea. I have a few shirts that I got from the Japanese weekend maternity clearance page that I really like, but other wise I have found very few good nursing tops.

  33. Believe it or not, I've never bought nursing specific shirts, just bras. Right now my favorite is from Medela.

  34. I agree with you MOSTLY about nursing clothing but I do like Milk Nursing Wear and Japanese Weekend! :) This cami looks really neat and like it would be helpful for nursing moms!!
