Product Review: Blinc Kiss Me Mascara

Product Review: Blinc Kiss Me Mascara 1As a mom, I like cosmetics that are easy-to-use, that look great, and that last a long time (i.e. I don't have to keep re-applying them).

My complaint about most mascaras is that they always seem to smudge or flake after daily wear. I end up with "raccoon eyes" and I wonder if it was really worth it.

Not with Blinc Kiss Me Mascara. No more black eyes at the end of the day! Kiss Me Mascara gives just the right coverage for every-day wear (it's a more natural-looking mascara - you'll want something else for special occasions or more dramatic lashes).

My only critique is that it makes my eyelashes feel a bit "dry" and the "removing of the tubes" takes a bit of getting used to because you have to apply "gentle pressure" on your lashes (weird!).

At $25, it's a bit on the pricey side, but I would buy it again because it's the only mascara that I've found that actually lives up to its promise of preventing dark under eye smudges.

WIN IT! One winner will receive her own tube of Blinc Kiss Me Mascara. To enter, simply leave a comment and your e-mail address on this post prior to Sunday, Jan. 13. The winner will be contacted on Monday, Jan. 14. * Winner must provide a U.S. mailing address.

* UPDATE * The winner is #12 jenna. Congratulations!

  1. I wear about 50 coats of mascara a day...needless to say I buy a lot of mascara! And I always love to try new products!

  2. I love to try new mascara's, especially because I also have a hard time finding mascara that doesn't leave black smudges under my eyes by the end of the day! This mascara may be a true find for me! Thank you!

  3. Hooray!!! No more "raccoon eyes"!!! I never leave home without my mascara. I am keeping my fingers crossed to win this one! Thanks for the great contest!

  4. I would love to win this. What a pain to try to get your makeup looking good and by the afternoon you see flakes and black smudges that looks like you have a black eye.

  5. would love to win this prize. Have never used it but would love to try. If it works as good as people are saying I would buy it. Mascara is the hardest product to find, they are claim to work but most all that I have used suck.

  6. I've been looking for a new mascara that looks natural for quite some time now. I would love the opportunity to try this out!

  7. Oh, man. I can relate to "raccoon eyes". When I first put mascara on, I look kind of cute.
But as soon as I get sleepy, or distracted or get killed in a video game, I rub my eyes.
I would walk around all day looking like I lost a catfight it my daughter didn't ask me "Mom, have you been rubbing your eyes again? Did you get beaten in Halo 3 again?"

  8. OH WOW! I have totally given up on mascara because I always rub my eyes, and I am sick of the dark smudges. Would LOVE to try this! Thanks!

  9. I love makeup! I'm so curious about the mineral makeup they keep showing on late night tv. Ever tried it? This mascara seems interesting. I'd enjoying trying it. I do love L'Oreal Voluminous mascara. It doesn't leave dark smudges under they eyes at all, and it does make them look longer and fuller. My sister adores waterproof mascara, but I am curious why since she never swims in it! I think hers flakes off sometimes, but mine never does. You might like it!

  10. I bought the sample size of Kiss Me and don't ever want to use another mascara - it's great - especially for my tired, older eyes that seem to stay irritated. No flakes, so it doesn't bother my eyes. Comes off easily with my other favorite, Clinique blue eye makeup remover. I would love to win a tube. Thanks

  11. Sounds good to me. If I like it, I'll buy it, too. I only wear it on days I come into contact with actual people, so it might last a while. :-)

  12. I have very oily skin under my eyes along with dark circles. Kiss Me by Blinc is the only mascara that I have found that really stays on, looks great and doesn't come off until I TAKE IT OFF. It forms tubes on your lashes that don't run. It's SOOOO worth the money, believe me. I can even use it on my lower lashes with NO problem.

  13. This is embarassing, but the other night I went out with girlfriends and put on some mascara (which I rarely do...because I rarely go out!). Anyhow, I found my mascara completely dry but I scraped it on anyhow. That night after washing it off my eyes hurt! I think you're supposed to change your mascara like every 6 months or something...I'll bet I've had that tube well over 2 years! Eek! i'm in the market for some new mascara, since I tossed mine in the garbage that night!!!

  14. I cant believe some of you are using 2-3 yr old amscara that is totally dangerous tothe health of your eyes! No wonder the are watery! I love mascara and would love to try this!

  15. I have beautiful long eyelashes but with my natural red hair you can't see the lashes because the are so light. I would really love this to show off my lashes

  16. Mascara WOW the most hardest thing to find for me. I ahve nto found one yet that works well with my eyes. Most dont live up to the advertising so hopefull this mascara is it. I would def like to try it..thanks for the opportunity

  17. I have tried the really expensive mascaras but they still are clumpy, smudgy and flakey ! I would love to try Blinc !!

  18. I just started using this mascara and I love it! It stays on when it's supposed to, and comes off when I want it gone. My complaint about other mascaras was the removal & Blinc makes it so easy.

  19. WOW!! Sounds great! Although, I would like to point out that I once saw a show that said you should NEVER use mascara that is more than a few months old. They actually took swabs of the wands and found several different types of bacteria growing on it. Yikes!!

  20. Who doesn't need to look beautiful after chasing little children around. This mascara would do the job wonderfully!

  21. hmmm... I'm not a makeup wearer, I'm 30 and I think the only makeup I own is what my dad bought me when I turned 16 (when it was okay to wear it), lol... I just never started although, I've been contemplating it since I just turned 30! LOL

  22. I haven't bought any makeup in ages; there's always somewhere more pressing to put the $$$. But my ancient several-year-old mascara (which was cheap to begin with!) definitely leaves me with "raccoon eyes". So this is a super exciting contest - I would love to win!!!

  23. Since I consider it a personal favor to the world at large to only go out with make-up on this would be something great to try. I suppose it would be like the universe paying me back and saying "Thank you for not sending the citizens of the planet into a terror stricken panic"! Please consider me a worthy winner for my good deeds. :-)

  24. I don't go anywhere without mascara on. I consider it my supermom weapon, especially with the new baby, against comments like, "Aw, you look tired" (read: crappy) and "You should let the husband take the kids and give you some me-time" (read: Have some self-respect, woman! You're embarrassing yourself and your family!). I'd like to try this one and see if it stands up as a worthy weapon.

  25. This sounds perfect for me! Allergies keep my eyes watering, so maybe this would do the trick. Thanks! ( meg dot wilson at gmail dot com )

  26. I wear hard contact lenses and almost every mascara I try somehow irritates them. Blinc sounds like a good option. I'd love to try their heated lash curler and primer, too.

  27. It's bad of me to admit that I've been using the same tube of mascara for two (ahem) years now, right? I don't wear it often because it's a pain declumping and separating and all that stuff. Would love to give this one a try.

  29. Hi, For me, mascara is a difficult cosmetic to buy! There is always something about each type that isn't quite right. Please enter me in your contest. I would love to try it. I haven't been able to afford this company. Thanks for a lovely contest! Cindi

  30. All the concealer in the world can't cover up the dark circles under my eyes. Maybe this mascara would help prevent them.

  31. you should post a pick of your lovely lashes with blinc on! (just stopped by to comment for fun, not to enter)
