Quick Question for you:

  • Do you use an online calendar to manage your schedule...?
  • Or do you use an old-fashioned planner with pen and ink?

I use a "hybrid" organization strategy. I keep track of birthdays via Facebook and an Excel spreadsheet, but I like to jot down my daily to-dos, short and long-term goals, and other notes on paper.

  1. I am currently a second year college student pursuing a double major, while also working as a Resident Assistant in an all girl's dorm. With all of my activities, I have realized that time management is key to succeeding as a female in the business world. For this very reason, I visited my academic advisor today to ask her several questions concerning my career in college...and then I noticed her planner. I immediately asked her where she purchased her planner because I simply had to have one. So here I am tonight, perusing the erin condren website, to purchase the planner that can help me with time management.

  2. I like to review my to do list every morning. This would help me get organized and keep track of all my chores and obligations.

  3. I have ptsd and one of the most annoying things is organizing and completing my to-do list without having a panic attack this would be a great asset!

  4. The Life Planner and the Weekly schedule pad would help me a lot to organize my life. Between my job and my family and all of the responsibilities involved it is a tremendous task to stay on top of everything. I am not a very well organized person at best.

  5. We're terrible at planning! I have a planner in my bag, but I never remember to update it and things keep getting forgotten!

  6. This is nice in that you can keep all your notes in a central place. I am terrible about jotting things down and then losing the slip of paper

  7. I am another who would be completely lost without my planner. This looks AWESOME. Thank you for the great contest!

  8. I can't live without my planner...working, kids, appointments, maybe a night out(not often enuf:) I don't know how anyone functions without one!
Love to try diff. ones as well. Thanks!

  9. These planners are ridiculously attractive; I love the designs on the website! This giveaway comes at a perfect time-- I've been too disorganized to get a new organizer...

  10. I, too, use a combo of on-line calendar and a regular pen & paper planner for daily stuff. My daughter is so busy with high school activities and my husband's schedule is always rotating, so the on-line calendar is a must. I would certainly put this organizer to good use. Thanks!

  11. I am a disabled Mom of 4. Between my own Dr. Appts. And my Family schedule, I just can't keep track. When Medication needs to be ordered and helping with my husband bookings for his business. Would love to win. Thanks for the offering!

  12. My wife is a scheduler and planner like no other. This is right up her alley and I know she would love these great products.

  13. I am the most unorganized person ever. I really want to be organized, I try very hard but it just never happens. This would help me out so much.

  14. im really unorganized and i cant afford a planner. I would be so nice to have one. I cant really spend money on that because i dont make much money having 2 kids and being a single mother is hard. Its also really hard to remember stuff sometimes.

  15. I am constantly looking for something that will help me and my crazy, obsessive-compulsive organizational ways. What a great way to do it!

  16. If you knew how many things (appointments) I need to keep track of on a weekly basis, well...trust me, I need all the organizational tools I can get!

  17. I'm definitely a paper and pen type of girl. I love to make lists and mark things off so these would be great. I especially love the weekly schedule pad. Thanks.

  18. I am terribly unorganized and as my boys keep getting older and being involved in more and more, I NEED to get myself a better plan and I think this would really help.

  19. The planner and pad would be wonderful to keep my busy family more organized. It sure beats post-it notes all over the fridge!

  20. I used an old-fashioned planner all throughout school. It's the best way to keep track of deadlines, exams, and events. My laptop wasn't always with me or turned on but my planner was always in my backpack or purse.

  21. I've read SO many organization books in my life, but I'm still not there yet! This prize would really help me be organized in 2010!!

  22. This sounds great! We use google calendar to keep up with all the places we need to be, but I find myself wishing I had some sort of paper version to go along with it.

  23. I've been looking for a good calendar -- I don't like the typical wall ones, can't get behind the online variety, and don't even get me started on how ugly the ones I try to make look!

  24. I use a family calendar that I hang on the wall. It's helpful but not portable. I used to carry a planner when I was working, but I have failed to get myself one since staying at home with my kids.

  25. I use both online and paper calendars. I am having some challenges setting up my editorial calendar for business because I'm not sure which direction I want to go, paper or digital.

  26. I am returning to school to get my Master's degree and these scheduling devices would be perfect to help me keep track of everything.

  27. I usually can never stick to online calendars but love to have something in front of me. I would love to win this as I just started homeschooling my 3 kids and this would be a great help.
    thank you

  28. I've tried using online calenders, but I never stick to them. I mainly use a wall calender for everyone to look at & then a planner in my purse. I also use the planner in my purse to jot down more personal things, like things I want to scrapbook, etc.

  29. With 5 kids going in 5 different directions and trying to help hubby run his business the sticky notes to "self" aren't cutting it. This would be great!

  30. Life is hectic working full time and having one pre-teen (acts like a teen) and one teenager. The planner would be terrific to keep track of all their activities plus mine and my husband's.

  31. I'm going back to school and the schedule juggling is CRAZY! Add that to the fact that my hubby is also in school and it's officially outrageous.

  32. Those planners/calendars look very nice. Mostly I just use my calendar on my wall but sometimes I need more space. Also having a place to write everything I need to do would be great!

  33. I still find it weird that I work so much better when I write things down; it's like an extra kick in the pants, even though it doesn't help me remember things at all.

  34. I love being organized but it is a constant struggle for me. I have a two year old and I work from home and I feel like I am always trying to figure out the best way to be organized and not forget the really important stuff, like people's birthdays. We live a long ways from both of our families so any help that I can get it always greatly appreciated.

  35. I have a slight obsession with office supplies so this is right up my alley. My NY resolution was to get organized so this would be great!

  36. I have never used an online calendar, but did use my Palm regularly when I worked. Now that I'm at home I just keep a paper calendar in the kitchen. Can I just say how pretty those calendars are in your picture! I love them.

  37. I do two part time jobs from home (in addition to raising my daughters) and am constantly needing to revamp my organizational plans!

  38. I'm not sure if I'm 100% Type A but I definitely am when it comes to being organized. Do you know Peter Walsh? I envy his job. I would love to do that kind of stuff for other people.

I keep track of our appointments on my cell phone calendar and on my Windows calendar on my computer. But if I'm being honest...I don't like either very much.

  39. I'm definitely a paper and pencil/pen/highlighter scheduler...it just suits me. And, I don't have to worry about losing calendar data when a hard drive crashes (that's been known to happen to me more than once).

  40. Oh man, I have tried, I have tried, and I have tried again to keep my schedule and calendar on the computer, but I keep going back to pen and paper. That Life Planner and Schedule Pad look amazing!!

  41. I've ordered stationery from Erin Condren before and it is just lovely. I would really like to try the Life Planner- my organizational skills could definitely use a stylish boost...

  42. don't enter me but i thought i'd weigh in anyways.
I LOVE my day planner. I actually use a student one that i have just kept buying from year to year since university. I keep everything in there from appointment to birthdays and anniversaries to little notes about what the kids are doing. it would be up there on my list of things i would save if i had a fire in my house.

  43. I always like to write it down. I may be a web developer and use a computer all day long... but when it comes to my personal activies, schedules, birthday and plans, I like to write in on paper.

  44. I never used anything until this year. I'm using a planner to keep track of my blog posts and newsletter topics and membership project.

    Nell

  45. I use an online calendar to manage my work schedule - but my personal schedule suffers - I end up using scraps of paper. I think I need to go back to an
    old-fashioned planner

  46. I am the kind of person who forgets everything. I had an exam scheduled on the 15th but thought it was the 17th. Nearly disastrous. I am always looking for ways to keep on track.

  47. Normally I never need a planner, but pregnancy-forgetfulness syndrome is making me crazy lately! It's so frustrating to just completely blank on things, since I've never in my life been like this. So a planner might be an excellent asset once I start juggling job and baby!

  48. I love to have this planner to help me when I schedule my appointments or meetings from day to day and not lose track.

  49. As I said in my comment on the bulletin board post, I'm definitely a list person. I'd love to have a small planner that I could take along with me everywhere to keep track of my to-do list, my weekly meals, my grocery list, my birthday list, etc.

  50. She makes the cutest things! One of my closest friends has been using Erin Condren planners for a few years. They are so styly and fun. I think it is so great that you can customize the covers too! I keep track of important dates, like birthdays in my head, and an excel document (and Facebook helps too). People say I have a freak memory because I remember so many dates and such, but as time goes on, I have been slipping! I also love the pictures you put in yours! So sweet to open up to that every day isn't it?!

  51. I carry a weekly planner in my purse/diaper bag/briefcase... it's the only way I can keep track of things.

I like what I have so don't enter me in the contest but I have to agree with you - something like this, tangible, written lists are an essential for me!

  52. I actually think one of these would be great for me. I used to not write things down, but I have been lately. Organization would be great!

  53. Ooh- I'm a sucker for organizational tools. Maybe this one would actually work for me. Always the best of intentions...but hey, this one has stickers(!) and we are all about the stickers in my house these days :)
