Running Gear Giveaway: Bumbleride Indie or Indie Twin

girl-in-jogging-stroller-5kI started running in 2007 - the year after my first child was born {she's now 3 and she's still my running partner - see right}.

I did it because I wanted to get fit, but...

  1. I didn't want to spend a lot of $$$ doing it.
  2. I didn't want to have to drive to a gym.
  3. I didn't want to use a DVD (blah).
  4. I didn't want to have to find childcare.

With my running shoes and a jogging stroller, I can workout on my own timetable - morning, noon, or night. All I have to do is head out the door!

indie stroller bumblerideToday, I'm excited to tell you about Bumbleride's Indie stroller - a lightweight, durable, and stylish all-terrain stroller that works equally well for strolls around the neighborhood or racing in 5Ks.

I should point out here that the Indie is designed for light jogging only so if you want a stroller for especially long and/or speedy races, this may not be the stroller for you. That said, if you are a mom who wants a stroller that is portable, pretty, and perfect for everyday workouts, you'll likely love this one.

indie twin bumblerideI've been using the Indie around my neighborhood and I recently pushed my 3-year-old in it in a local 5K. It is a smooth ride and easily steerable, plus it comes with great features like a height-adjustable handle (brilliant!), reclining backrest, and a sun canopy. The stroller also comes standard with a rain cover (Can I get a woo-hoo from the folks over in the Pacific Northwest?), air pump, and infant seat adapter bar. Finally, it folds up in two, brisk motions for easy use on-the-go too.

Available in five eye-catching and modern color combinations, the Indie retails for $459.99. Or if you have two tiny ones, you may want to consider the Indie Twin - a pricier option at $659.99.

YOUR TURN: Do you run with your baby or do you prefer to run "solo"?

  1. Ohhh, I hope I'm not too late to enter. I have been lusting after these strollers ever since my baby was born. They are so light and easy to use, yet strong enough to take on the trails we love to hike on. Such a great stroller, I especially love the orange "spice" colored one.
    Thanks so much

  2. I'd love the indie twin! I have twins and this stroller would be perfect for them. Also it would help keep me active and them entertained :)

  3. I don't run often, bad knees but if i do my little one stays home since i don't have a jogging stroller. i guess that's why I go on more walks, she can come along lol.

  4. I would love to win this I walk a lot with my two kids and could so use a jogging stroller I have an old stroller that is the one in front of the other its huge and heavy no way I could jog with it thanks so much for the chance to win [email protected]

  5. Here's the problem. I'd love to run with my girls because I think having them with me would be good motivation. They would love the faster pace and hearing them giggling and "chatting" would keep me going. However, I own 0 jogging strollers, so it has never happened. This one looks pretty fantastic, though!

  6. This looks like a great stroller not only for daily use, but also to help lose the baby weight!! There are so many choices out there these days; Bumbleride, Quinny, Bugaboo, Stokke. Thank goodness I have 7 months to decide, I'm not due until July!!

  7. We have a 2 1/2 year old and a 4 month old and I have been wanting a double stroller for them but it isn't in the budget. I would love to go for walks to get fit after this baby but need a double stroller to do that. This is my chance! Thank you!

  8. We have seen people using these in the park and always admired them. What a great way to exercise and get the baby outside too!

  9. I like to run solo because i dont like to be weighed down and i dont want to take a chance of falling and endangering my child

  10. I would love this stroller for when I am running and have my nephew and my little cousin. It is really hard to run with a 3 year old on your hip and pushing another 3 year old in a stroller!

  11. I actually don't run usually. Where I live it is very cold! But I know this would encourage me to start doing it though!

  12. Hubby is the big runner in our family, and he has to run solo at the moment because we don't have a suitable stroller for him to take baby. I'd love for him to be able to take our little one with him and show her more of the neighbourhood (and give me some peace! :D).

  13. Sometimes I prefer to run solo simply because I truly enjoy getting off the pavement and out on the trails. It's kind of difficult to "off-road-it" with a stroller! :)

  14. I've been hearing many good things about this stroller. I have been going back and forth wondering whether or not to register for a jogging stroller. I know that if I received this, I would make myself go out and jog! Hahaha!

  15. My baby sister is expecting Twins in June and is an AVID runner... (puts me to shame) I would LOVE to present her with this AWESOME Bumbleride Indie Twin as THE BEST shower gift ever!

Thanks so much to Metropolitan Mama and Bumbleride for such a great giveaway!

Hope your day is beyond amazing:)

  16. The Indie Twin would be perfect for me and my two kiddos. I also love the height adjusting handle since my husband and I like it at different heights.

  17. I totally run with my babies! Unfortunately, I just had twins, and I haven't been running at all lately! I would love a double stroller to be able to run again!
I actually feel naked running without a stroller after running with one for so long! However, if you run solo every once and a while, you seem so much lighter! haha!

  18. This stroller is AWESOME!! We're in much need of a new stroller. The back wheels of ours have come of a handfull of times & we keep screwing them back on. They wobble & turn inward. I'm just waiting for the day when we can't fix them anymore. Thanks for the chance!

  19. This looks like an amazing stroller.. we have an all terrain stroller but I have been thinking about getting a jogging stroller. Our other just isn't meant for anything faster than a walk

  20. I started to get into jogging after my first son was born. It was rather difficult finding time, with my husband working strange hours, and us nothaving a jogging stroller. Now that we're expecting baby #2, I've been trying to save money to buy one, so I won't have an excuse not to run! Thank you so much for the chance to win this!!

  21. I would love to run with both of my kids but I haven't been able to afford a decent jogging stroller. This would be wonderful to have so I wouldn't have to rely on someone being available to watch over the wee ones.

  22. I can't believe how far strollers have come since my girls were little. Now that we're working on grandchildren it seems the choices are endless depending on the activity. Thanks for the review.

  23. I've always liked the Bumbleride Indie. I'm a librarian and I do the Baby Time storytime at the library I work at. Ever since I got pregnant I've been scoping out everyone's strollers. This is certainly a favorite of mine and the attending moms and caretakers. I also love that it comes in so many cute colors.

  24. I love jogging with my daughter during the weekends when I have spare time. It's a great way to bond and show her that exercise is fun!

  25. The Indie (Lava) would make a nice gift for my friend. She has started running to try to get back into shape. This would be wonderful for her to have, so that she doesn't have to wait until her husband is home to run (she can take her daughter with her).

  26. Our stroller is starting to fall apart. My DD loves to go outside but the park is a bit further. I could take her in the jogging stroller which a a smoother ride and at the same time get some exercise.

  27. We could really use a jogging stroller. I do kung fu now and with a baby on the way I don't think I will be able to exercise as much. This will allow baby and me to be in shape.

  28. I could really use a jogging stroller because we have two little ones at home and both my wife & I would love to go out for a run and be able to take our children with us. Not only would we be getting into shape together, but we would all be spending some quality family time together. Thanks for the great giveaway.

  29. I always take baby when weather permits. He loves going outside and looking at everything in nature. His stroller is extremely annoying and just doesnt cut it..Thanks..

  30. I am actually not pregnant, but my best friend is, and my god son is on his way due in March. My friend is very athletic, and I know when the baby is here, she will continue to run, this would be a great present that I could give to her.Shes already informed me on her registry that she wants one!

  31. I have an indie and I think I may be pregnant with #2! Would love to keep up the workouts with the Twin!! I don't go any where without my son...so he definitely runs with me :) silenttributary(At)yahoo(dot)com

  32. I am currently pregnant (due May 8th). I would love to get in shape with this jogging stroller - maybe it will lull the baby to sleep!

  33. I was admiring an Indie stoller at a coffee shop a week ago - it was really sharp-looking. The woman who was pushing her babe in it could'nt praise it enough. I never had a stroller that I could go out on jogs when my kids were young. I'd love to be able to gift my niece and her first child with one.

  34. I prefer to jog by myself since my stroller is kinda bulky. I try go in the mornings when my son & husband are asleep. It's hard to motivate myself to jog but it'd be fun to win this Bumbleride stroller so my baby can be with me!

  35. I would love the indie stroller for my sister. She is pregnant with her first child and she is a big runner. I am sure this would be the perfect gift for her and she would get a lot of use out of it. Thanks for the chance, [email protected]

  36. I would LOVE to win the Indie Twin. I have a 3-year-old and a 4-month-old. Since my 3-year-old still needs the stroller, I have to carry my 4-month-old in a sling which is getting tough since he is getting heavy. I plan on having another bay in about a year so this would be INCREDIBLE to win! Thanks for the chance.

  37. These strollers look simply amazing. I've had my eye on the Indie Twin for a while now! I would love it for evening runs when it get warmer.
    Thanks for the chance!

  38. Running with this would be a lot easier. Would love to go for walks with the kids, but never make it very far. This might make it better.

  39. I really do need to start jogging but the kids have always been my excuse not to. Thanks alot indie for taking away my excuse!

  40. I prefer to run alone but we do take lots of walks outside and it is nice to have the option of being able to go for a jog as well. The stroller looks awesome, I love the colors they offer - more my style, not overly cutsey (if that's a word!).

  41. Wow these are gems amongst the stroller industry, the height-adjustable handle is long overdue I would think, so kudos to them for making it!

  42. Jogging is "the thing" that got me back in shape after baby was born (ok, 3 years after baby was born but still!). I run solo as I don't have a jogging stroller! :-)

  43. I've been thinking about getting one of these for a while now. I currently have the Graco DuoGlider. It's way too heavy/long/bulky. It would be great to win. Thanks for the contest.

  44. The Bumbleride Indie stroller would be so incredible to have. I was doing sooo great exercising before I got pregnant, walking/jogging daily...this would be a great way for me to get out and resume healthiness after she arrives. We have 30 days to go ~ and only 60 pounds to lose :(

  45. I would really love to win the Bumbleride Indie Twin stroller because with 2 young kidos, it would allow me to get out more with them and excersice. I don't know about the running. I think that I'll start with some fast walking. I've read alot on the website about this stroller and it is a very high quality made stroller with a lot of nice features. Thanks for the giveaway.

    [email protected]

  46. The Indie is a great looking stroller with great features. Now that my daughter is out of her infant car seat, there is no need for me to have the bulky travel system stroller, now I can can get a more fashionable and better functioning stroller.

  47. So, I have to admit... I am not an avid runner nor a fan. But I do love to walk on a regular basis and my travel system stroller just isn't cutting it! I have been looking into a jogger stroller but just haven't found the right one. This one looks fabulous and would definitely do the job!

  48. It really depends on the day and, of course, the weather. Our park is great though because it has wide paths perfect for jogging strollers.

  49. i would love to win the indie twin...my sister has one and it is so awesome...it's wheels even make it easy to push on grass/gravel etc...so if you go to a fair/park...your not confined to the sidewalk!

  50. I was the opposite of you. I went to the gym because I didn't have a good running stroller! This would certainly solve that problem. And we are planning for #2 at the end of 2010. Adding another baby means either adding another stroller or upgrading. I love the colors and look of the Indie!

  51. I'd love to have the Indie so I could take our newest little guy around. I'm loving the adjustable handle since I'm very short, that would make things easier.

  52. I typically don't enter these contests, but my wife really wants a jogging stroller so that she can jog with the kids during the day. I would be so thrilled to win this for her!

  53. I don't have a double jogging stroller so the kids stay with my husband when I run. The Bumbleride Indie Twin is the top of the line. This would be great to have. Thanks so much! I really need to lose this baby weight!

  54. When it comes to running, I do perfer solo trips. I adore taking lots of walks with my son but running alone gives me a nice little break.

  55. I would love to win the Indie Twin! My best friend has one and it is the best stroller ever! I love the blue and green color combination!

  56. My daughter is in the hospital right now with twins. She's 35 weeks hoping to keep them in til at least 36 weeks. The Indi twin would be great to have.

  57. I actually recently started running. (Up to 7 miles daily now!)

I LOVE taking my almost 3 year old son but have been dragging my feet on investing in a jogging stroller...so I use my standard here and there.

    What a great giveaway!

  58. I used to jog before we had a baby but i would love to start again and with the baby if i ever had the right stroller for it. thanks for the chance to win this great stroller!

  59. I don't run with my youngest because I don't have a jogging stroller. I would love to start. Right now I am tied to my treadmill :-)

  60. Used to have a double jog stroller then gave it up when kids got too heavy to push. Now I am back running and kicking myself for getting rid of it. I have two little ones now and the only mom time I can claim is if I go running with at least two. Five point harness and infant seat adapter bar are especially bonus points.

  61. I AM GETTING MY FIRST GRANDSON IN JANUARY, WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THIS STROLLER SO I CAN WALK HIM AROUND SINCE I WILL BE TAKING CARE OF HIM WHEN MY DAUGHTER GOES BACK TO WORK IN APRIL. PERFECT TIME OF YEAR TO WALK AROUND IN PA. THANKS FOR A GREAT SWEEP. [email protected]

  62. Wow, this is a great stroller! My sister is due in 3 weeks and I'd love to give her this. It's so pretty and so many of the walking/jogging strollers are ugly or plain.

  63. We have an old hand-me-down jogging stroller but still get a lot of use out of it. I really enjoy running with my daughter and she motivates me by saying "faster mommy, faster!"

  64. Being light weight is really important so this definitely seems like a great stroller from the reviews. Not to mention, it's cute! :)

  65. I would love the Indie! My oldest is 13 and I had a jogger that I loved from the time he was a newborn. About a year ago he sat in it again at 12 and the whole thing shredded at the seams, and so as a result, my youngest has gotten gypped out of getting to ride while I run. I'd love a new stroller. Thanks for the fantastic giveaway!!

  66. With my three year old, I ran/walk/jogged on a treadmill during naptime or in the wee hours of the morning. We never did purchase a jogging stroller, but I've always wanted one! This would be perfect to place both girls in - especially whenever our newest addition is big enough to ride inside of it.

  67. YOUR TURN: Do you run with your baby or do you prefer to run “solo”?

I never owned a jogging stroller, and I think I would totally prefer to run with the baby as opposed to running alone. The stroller is gorgeous, and out of our budget, so I'd be delighted to win.

  68. I started running in October to try to get in shape. At that time, I could only run 1/4 mile before I got too tired. Now, I am up to 3 miles at a time and am planning on running my first 5K on Mothers Day. I've also lost about 30 pounds and have another 40 to go. This stroller would make it possible for me to run with my babies outside (rather than on a track at the gym while they are in the day care). Awesome!

  69. as a marathon runner, this is invaluable. Hard to train sometimes when i need to have the little ones with me, this would be awesome.

  70. It is important to have a quality stroller for your safety as well as for your child's safety. And the Indie certainly is quality. What better way to get into shape, stay healthy, and instill in your child healthy lifestyles.

Ps Got so excited about the Indie stroller that I submitted an incorrect email address. This is a correction.

  71. It is important to have a quality stroller for your safety as well as for your child's safety. And the Indie certainly is quality. What better way to get into shape, stay healthy, and instill in your child healthy lifestyles.

  72. The Indie double stroller looks amazing. I think it would definitely motivate me to get out and run more often. I would love to have it for my 3 year old and 6 month old. It would be wonderful for running, but also to take on trips to the zoo. I really need a nice jogging stroller! My favorite color is Seagrass.

  73. The Indie Twin looks AMAZING! I just had twin girls and this would be really wonderful to have. Now that I see it I wished I'd registered for it for my baby shower!

  74. I asked my husband to buy me this stroller for Christmas! I live near Disneyland and want to take my 3 little ones there often, but I don't have a good stroller! Plus I want to go running around my hilly neighborhood with my 9 month old. This stroller tops my list for what I need! (And it has the perfect size cargo space).

  75. I love Bumbleride! We have a Flyer and it really is just so easy to push and get around. Plus it looks great too. We are currently looking for a twin one now as we'll have two little one's soon...so this is definitely one to consider.

  76. I trained for a marathon with my older son in a jogger and now that #2 is here, I'm ready to get back out there. The double jogger would make that possible.

  77. I have really been wanting to start running with my son, but we don't have a jogging stroller and I don't see our umbrella stroller taking bumps to well:) I would love to win this!!! Thanks!

  78. I would love one of these strollers, they are high quality and lovely colors. The graco's just get dirty and are not good for running

  79. I don't run much, but boy do we walk. We don't have a car, so if we need to get somewhere out come the bikes and the strollers. I don't know how many miles I've gotten out of my Graco double stroller. With three kids and parks all around, my shoes and stroller are starting to wear. A new one would definately be welcome - and a height adjustable handle - wow! I would love the double to help keep us going next summer!

  80. I'm not much of a runner, but we take walks. After the holidays, we may need to speed it up a bit because of all the yummy food consumed! The 360 degree swiveling front wheel is really a great idea ... it makes cornering so much easier!

  81. I don't have kids of my own yet, but that Indie twin is so tempting. It's so cute!
I'd love to offer an Indie for a relative though.

  82. The Bumbleride looks so stylish and would get me out and about on our walking paths this spring for sure - how can you not want to be seen with that (and your beautiful little ones in it, of course!)

We've been making do with a single stroller (and a sling) for my youngest two, but now that my infant is a bit bigger, I'm sure both girls would love to ride and see the sights together.

  83. Firstly I love the colors of the bumbleride and I like that it's looks as cushy as carriage while being a great jogger. I do like to walk a lot especially since getting 1 year old twins in and out of the car is quite a pain. I'm due with a another one next month and would love an easy to push double stroller that I can attach my buggy board to for one of the twins or while I wear the baby.

  84. Wow!! I love that fact that it reclines for an infant, it's all terrain, and looks super cute. If I could get a Bumbleride Indie Twin that'd be sooo perfect for me. I am expecting my second any day now, and I have an almost 2 year old daughter. Thanks for hosting this giveaway!

  85. I haven't progressed to running yet but I do walk 2 miles a day. I leave the baby with my husband since we don't have a stroller suitable for either walking or running with the baby. I think the baby would enjoy me taking her out walking once the weather warms up.

  86. We recently moved to the country...dirt roads and regular strollers apparently are not a match made in heaven =(. I would love this double stroller to get my two little boys out. MN winters get long and we have to get some air and flex our muscles. It has been a long rough year for our family and some good news would be awesome.

  87. My kids would love to go on runs with me if they could ride in this stroller! And now that my baby is 4 months, it's time for me to get back in shape!

  88. Wow! I am due the beginning of February with baby number three, a boy this time. Our family pretty much walks everywhere in good weather but out double stroller has about lived out it's life. My husband would never let me buy something like this(unless we found it super cheap at a garage sale, which is where we got our first one). It looks wonderful, I love the side by side double strollers, my girls play and interact when we walk places, that would be kind of hard if they were sitting front and back. I think this would be great to help me get back in shape after baby 3, especially since I have been so sick throughout this pregnancy that I haven't been very active at all and I know once you go downhill it is even harder to get back on track. I was so sick vomiting and sleeping for the first four months and then I got the flu, which turned into pneumonia which then became an ear infection that would not go away, then my other ear got infected too and my one ear is still infected so I have to go to an ears nose and throat doctor on Monday. I hope they can do something for me because I think it is spreading to my sinus because it feels like somebody punched me in the face on the right side(same side as infected ear) and my gum and teeth on that side are hurting as well. I went to the dentist today just to make sure it was nothing with my teeth and they said my mouth looked healthy. So I just want all this sickness to stop and to be able to get back to being able to play with my kids and take them places when it stops snowing here. I think this baby has something against me!! This would be great though, either for the two girls and I could strap baby on or for baby and my younger girl and my 4 year old can walk with me.

  89. I love running with the stroller, even though it can be harder sometimes. It gives you extra resistance!!! Also this is the cheapest and easiest way to exercise when you have children. If it wasn't for jogging strollers I would go crazy!!! Im am working on baby # 2 so a double jogger is definitely needed.

  90. this would be perfect for when my baby arrives in march. we could go jogging and i could get rid of the baby weight :)

  91. This double stroller would be perfect for my sweet daughter in law,she pregnant with her 4th child and loves to stay in shape, she would never spend the money to buy this for herself.I join her for long walks in the country and her 2 yr old and the new baby would be very happy in this stroller, the other two are in school. Thanks for the contest, great idea no matter who wins!

  92. This stroller would be perfect for my sister. She has two toddlers and wants to start going on walks around the neighborhood but her current stroller is too difficult to maneuver. What a great giveaway!

  93. I have just gotten into running (ok- jogging!) and I go around my neighborhood with both of my toddlers. I dont have a "jogging Stroller" so it makes it a little harder- so this would be awesome! I like to take the kids though so I can talk to someone while I am out there!! Otherwise I get bored! haha :)

  94. I have been researching strollers to find one for our upcoming trip to Disney. After reading your review and checking out the specs(the height adjustable is such a genius idea), the Indie looks awesome for what we need! It would be even sweeter to win one...Thanks for the chance! And Merry, Merry Christmas!

  95. I was a fit child but I never could run. I remember being embarrassed as the last kid to cross the finish line during “fun runs” in grade school gym class. By high school, as puberty hit and I started to gain weight my motto became “I only run when chased”. Secretly though, I always admired runners. I was always so envious of college friends who went for group runs, or signed up for 5K’s because they had nothing else to do. It was like runners were part of this elite club that I wasn’t privileged to join. Finally, at 28, I decided I wanted to try running in earnest. I was overweight and unhappy with my body image. I worked out regularly, but nothing seemed to help me lose weight. When I heard about the Couch to 5K program it felt like the perfect training opportunity. I found an app on my phone that gave verbal cues of when to run and walk while still allowing me to blast my favorite motivational songs (the theme from Rocky was a regular on my playlist). So I started and much to my surprise, I LOVED IT! I made it up to the dreaded Week 5 Day 3- the 20 minute, no walking break run. I was worried that I couldn’t make it but I did! It was the first time in my entire life I ran an entire mile! When I finished, a wave of emotion came over me and I almost broke down in tears. I did it. I was a runner.

Well, the flood of emotion wasn’t just pride. The very next morning, realizing I was a week late, I found out I was pregnant with my first child. Of course my husband and I were absolutely thrilled, but a tiny part of me was sad because I knew my running was going to have to take a 40 week break. Running wore me out and raised my heart rate well beyond what my midwife recommended. I tried it a few times and my body made it clear to me that I had to stop.

So here I am at 27 weeks, still exercising regularly, but feeling a little mournful as runners pass me while I walk, my belly leading the way. After our child is born, as soon as I get clearance from the midwife, I plan to start the Couch 2 5K program again. I’ll start from week one, but I will finish and I will be running 5K’s with my friends, who started the program with me and now have several races under their belts. As I run, I hope to do it pushing my child. I want them to grow up with parents who recognize the importance of staying active, not to look good, but to feel good.

  96. I have recently committed to getting back in to shape, however with 3 kids it is often hard to get a good walk in without stopping a dozen times. Having the double stroller would be great to put two of the kids for a walk!

  97. I find it so much easier to get out and exercise with my nephews. Pushing them in the stroller is great because I can spend time with them and they can get some fresh air all while I get my workout in! This stroller would be amazing to give my sister for a belated Christmas gift!

  98. What a great idea! I have a single Bob stroller right now and love it. I take Stroller Fit classes 6 days a week, awesome work out class. I am currently 10 weeks pregnant and expecting a little one early July! So I have been looking at double strollers as we speak!! I would love to WIN this stroller!!!!!

  99. first you must know i have been drooling over this stroller for some time now. i know i want one. it looks like it will hold up to my workouts with my little ones. my stroller i have now is so out of her element when i go out doors. i think she is about to roll over and die and wouldn't that be great so i could use this stroller?!?! thanks for your hard work!

  100. I prefer to run solo, but I think its just because I don't have a fabulous jogging stroller like this one! After this next baby I would love to have a jogging stroller to get back into shape. Thanks for the generous giveaway!

  101. Right now I run solo but when my next one is born I'm planning to stay home with the two of them. A jogging stroller would be a great adventure for them and a workout for me.

  102. To answer your question, I love to run with the baby but my hubby is a solo runner. I will definitely need to do a lot of running once baby number 2 arrives! Not fitting into your round 1 maternity clothes the second time is a real eye opener!

  103. I've never ran with my babies, but then again, I've never had a jogging stoller. If I did, I would take my baby for sure. I wouldn't have any excuses. Thanks, it looks really nice.

  104. How awesome!! As a military Mama, I am by myself quite often with two lil ones (3 yrs and 6 mos) so this would be awesome. Twin jogging strollers are so pricey, but this one looks really sturdy and quality built for the price. Thanks for the giveaway.

  105. I prefer to run solo, but as a stay at home mom, that isn't always realistic. If I want to get in my run, I've gotta take the girls. The Indie twin would be PERFECT for my 2 girls. Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

  106. Truly, I love the day's I can go solo, because I go a lot faster and don't need to pick up fallen socks or sippy cups during the run. The funny thing is when I do go solo I find myself wishing I brought Audrey with me. We use a BOB stroller here at home, but when I purchased it I did look at the Bumblerides. We would love to win!

  107. This stroller looks perfect for our family, especially me getting back into shape after having another little one!! What an awesome giveaway!

  108. I love long walks for exercise, and as my partner and I plan for baby, we've been researching metro-friendly strollers that can handle dodging and weaving through pedestrian traffic. The bumblerides indie stroller looks perfect for us!

  109. I got a jogging stroller with my first and used it some but I really think I would have used one with an optional turning front wheel more. I'm pregnant now and in the market for a new jogger. I'll definitely get one with a turnable front wheel this time.

  110. I've been running since 2006. I stopped when I got pregnant with my now 16 month old son. Then I took it up again this past May. I was training for a half marathon and got 3/4 through my training before I hit a huge burn out. I was having a lot of plantar fascia pain, so I think that was the cause.

Just the last couple weeks I've started back, slowly. I love to run with my son as long as he is happy. Most the time it puts him to sleep :-) On longer runs I like to leave him home with daddy. I would absolutely love the indie twin because we are planning on baby #2 the first of the year. It would be awesome to take both kids with me on my runs.

  111. Seriously! This is something that I've been stressing about lately. Trying to find a good jogging stroller. I've heard horror stories from friends who use them, and some friends have given up and go solo. But I am determined to find a solution. Thanks for such a great review on the stroller. It really looks like a solution to mine (and my friends') problems!

  112. I liked to run with my first baby, and then when I had my second my first was old enough to ride his bike while I ran. But then I had my twins and while I have a double stroller, it can in no way handle any kind of running. At all. Needless to say the running doesn't happen almost ever because I don't want to go early morning or at night when hubby's home. But if I had that Indie Twin.....well, a whole new world of possibilities would be open to me. Not to mention the fact that I've been wishing for one since my twins were born.......

  113. I know so many expecting moms, this stroller would be a nice shower gift for one of them. I'm not a runner, so that part would be lost on me if I kept it...but you never know ;)

  114. Wow what an amazing giveaway Stephanie! I used to run all the time before my daughter was born and try to still do it but I don't have the money (being a student) to get a running stroller! I would love to take my little girl out running with me but I don't have anyone to keep her so it would be so so great to win this! Thanks Stephanie!

  115. This stroller looks great. I have a double jogger now and I need a single, as my 6 yr old is too big and would much rather jog or walk with me but my little one still needs to be in a stroller. So, I would LOVE LOVE to win this single jogger. Thanks.

  116. I love Bumbleride.. I have a Queen B.. It is in the Ruby color.. As much as I love my Queen B I would love a Indie Twin more. Here's why I have a 7 month old and a 16month old at my house daily. In about 4 months I will have a 2 month old added to this bunch of daycare kiddos. The Indie Twin would be fantastic for our morning walks. It would be nice to be able to put the two wee babes in it.
    Thanks for the chance
    Happy HOlidays

  117. I don't have a running stroller but would LOVE the opportunity to win this. I have been shopping around for the best running strollers. Thanks for the info about Bumbleride. I would pick the Indie!!

  118. Oh my goodness- I would love this stroller (either one), but I'd pick the Indie Twin because we will hopefully be having baby #2 sometime in 2010!!! I've read so many reviews of bumbleride- sounds like they have amazing products! thanks for such a wonderful giveaway!

  119. I've never ran with my kids. I guess because I didn't have a stroller that would be right for it and when you have a stroller that is a hassle then you just don't want to do it. Everytime we've taken our big stroller when walking or trying to run it's just more trouble than it's worth!

  120. So glad I popped over here for a minute... :)

I have a single jogging stroller that I LOVE, but... I have two little ones now so a double would be really nice! I don't jog, but I do like to walk and we do walk around the nature area that is close to our house where the paths are not always smooth and paved - so the big wheeled, jogging stroller like these with the turny front wheel are perfect!

  121. I don't have a running stroller or even one with big wheels. Definitely a problem when you want to go jogging with kiddos. This would come in so handy!! Thanks for the chance.

  122. We used to go on looong walks- We as a family of 3 really enjoyed that! As I entered the last part of my second pregnancy- we just had another beautiful boy- We found out my husband has a tumor on his right heel. We look forward to more looong walks as a family of 4!

  123. This is a cool stroller, If I had one this nice I would run or jog or just walk fast. But it is hard, I have a 7 yr old and a 2yr old & someone is always left out.

  124. Always with my babies (2yrs and 9 months) they love it!! And I love how I feel after exercising!! So energized not to mention the weight loss :)

  125. indie strollers - so wonderfully designed! an adjustable handlebar- you're right! genius! my hubby is a foot taller than me, so its tough for us both to be happy with the same stroller. must be why we usually opt to carry our littlest, and chase after our toddler on his bike! ...and if I won, I'd have to seriously think and pray about who would get the stroller... me... or my expectant sister in law who has been drolling over this stroller since she got a positive pregnancy test! oh the hypothetical dilemma! :)

  126. this stroller looks wonderful! and i need a double stroller with twins on the way! my plan is to put a twin and my daughter in a stroller and wear the other twin. anyway, i would loooove to win one of these!

  127. Wow, what a great giveaway! Our Graco stroller, while a good workhorse, is not suitable for fast walking or running, which my husband loves to do. We've talked about getting a used jogger, and have yet to find one on Craigslist, so we'd love to have the Indie. Maybe that would encourage me to start running too!

  128. I prefer to run alone. It's my *me* time. I have been dying for this stroller! One of my girlfriends has it and she loves it, and it looks great! I only have a single stroller and it makes it impossible to take really long treks.

  129. Well, I only run if I'm being chased or playin a sport but since my son is too small to chase me & I'm too old to keep playing sports, I'm thinking jogging/walking is the way to go!! Going to the gym is outta the question & working out inside is hard because I'd like to involve my 1 yr old. He has a congenital hear defect so I like to find things that don't involve getting him around a lot of ppl. A jogging stroller would be great to have. We have a nice neighborhood to cruise as well as a wonderful park!

  130. I have to confess. i dont run. I really want to start, though. Having a stroller will sure help. There will be no mo excuses

  131. Wow! Those look like amazing strollers. I would choose the twin so my 3 year old and 2 year old can both ride. I have always wanted a jogging stroller it has just never been in the budget!

  132. I've just started running again, you've been a great inspiration by the way. I find it difficult to find the time to go when my husband is at home, this would make it much easier to get out.

  133. I would say that it's a 50/50 split of walking/jogging with my dtr or without her. I don't have a great stroller.... so, I get pretty frustrated with my feet kicking the stroller when I pick up the pace!

  134. I've been wishing i could run with my tot! We are so close to a wonderful huge park with tracks but I don't have a running stroller. This would be amazing!!!

  135. I've been wanting a jogging stroller for quite some time. Like you, I've been running since my son was born (three years ago), and chose to become a runner due to how inexpensive and easy it is (no popping in a DVD, no going to the gym, etc.). I also knew I had to make a lifestyle change since during the last few months of my pregnancy I developed diabetes which turned into toxemia...and I gained 80 pounds! Through working out and strict diets, I lost almost all of it in four months!

Unfortunately, these three years, I've had to wait to run until my husband is home or my son is at his grandparents' because I don't have a jogging stroller. My husband works late hours and there are many days when I can't get out at all.

I would LOVE to have a jogging stroller so I can continue to run without having to wait on my husband, as well as continuing to run as I have more babies (someday).

  136. Hi Stephanie,
What a cool product. It's always hard to know what ones are going to work really well and which are just duds. We don't get to run outdoors much in the snowy MN weather but my local highschool lets us run on the track with a jogger. This would be WONDERFUL to win

  137. I don't actually run, does that disqualify me? I walk. Before we moved north we took a family walk every morning. Now not so much, but once the weather warms up again we will start again, and then we will have two babies!

  138. Running solo doesn't happen... my husband and I are always accompanied by our 9 month old son (which is hard without a jogging strolling) and our yellow lab. These strollers look awesome!

  139. So, we have a Jeep jogging stroller from when my daughter was born, but now that I have two babies, the double stroller would be perfect for when I actually start getting out and getting my exercise on!

  140. I can't wait to start running again with my baby. I was going to the gym regularly but stopped after it became too difficult with the belly --- now it's just walking. This would be perfect for the California sun & snow...

  141. Oh I would love to win this!!! Since the birth of my son I have been looking into getting out and moving. Because we live were it snows our regular stroller does not work so well here but the bumble ride would be perfect.

  142. That is so awesome! My husband and I have been wanting to start running, but we knew it wasn't going to happen without a jogging stroller. We've been trolling Craigslist for one and were really bummed that we didn't get to a really great one in time last night. What a great giveaway!

  143. I soooo want a jogger! I do Stroller Strides with my toddler son and I am the only one in my class bumping along with a regular ol' stroller. How many times can I enter this thing? Oh, once. Come on one lucky entry...win mama a jogger! Thank you for the incredible contest!

  144. I don't run at least not at this time of year; too much snow! I can't imagine pushing a stroller through the snow. Certainly not mine, but even the jogging strollers I think it would be a bit of a stretch. The sidewalks today have a foot of snow and the plows have not yet been by...

I've been toying with taking an exercise class but that would require actually doing something about it!

  145. I don't run with my kiddos (or without them, for that matter ;), but we do go on lots of walks. Now that the oldest of my 3 is riding his bike well, there's even the opportunity to get some fairly good exercise in. These strollers look fabulous!

  146. Well...I don't love running. Yes-I said it. I do not love it! But, I do it anyway to stay in shape, get fresh air outside, set a good example for my kids, etc... The double jogger would be amazing and also allow me to bring the little buggers along with me. And who knows, it may just make me fall in love with running.

  147. I am SO excited that I will actually need a double jogger now! My first LOVES going out, but our current jogger is really not very good at all. I wasn't sure how he would do and didnt want to spend a lot without knowing that he liked it. I wish now that I had a great one to use, and cannot wait to be able to take both of the babes out together!

  148. I run solo because our sidewalks are not so good and I only have a regular stroller. I would definitely try running with the kid(s) if I had better equipment!

  149. I love to workout! I have done it my whole life. but since I had my daughter I have definatley slacked. I don't have a good outdoor stroller at all. I have read all the great reviews on this stroller and I know if would be perfect. I would love a chance to win this. thanks so much.

  150. I don't run. We don't have a car, so I get all the exercise I need walking or riding my bike places. Both of my kids go with me almost everywhere, so I do use a stroller. I do prefer to use a jogger as I tend to walk miles a day. My jogger looks like it's about to fall apart, and it's one of the older models, so it doesn't fold at all. This makes it inconvenient if I want to take the bus somewhere because then I am forced to use an umbrella stroller which is not so nice on longer walks.

  151. I probably wouldn't use it myself, but I know people who would love to have a jogging stroller and I would be happy to gift it to one of them. :)

  152. I like to exercise with my baby because she's pretty light now at 3 months old. But before I got pregnant with her, my boys were 4 & 5 and taking them out in the double stroller was really difficult. It felt like they weighed a ton!

  153. A great stroller makes all the difference when running. Your little one looks quite comfy in that stroller...so glad she got to do the run with you! My kids LOVE being in the stroller, so I try to get out with them as much as possible. Again, so proud of you, and SO inspired by you!

  154. Very fancy! I used to be a dedicated runner, but slowly I got out of it. After I had my daughter I wanted to get back into running, but we never could justify the expense of a jogging stroller so I've always had an excuse not to run . . .

  155. Thanks for the awesome review. I love Bumbleride. My daughter and I were recently in an accident and our stroller was ruined, and we replaced it with a flyer. But, I joined a group of local women who all made a pledge to get fit this winter. As soon as I'm healthy from all the whiplash injuries, I really want to start running again. I know I'll get out a lot more if I can take my daughter with me. I'd love a jogging stroller for that reason.

  156. It's much easier to run solo, both physically, and mentally. When I run solo I can plug in the tunes and tune out the world. I don't get to run alone often since we are part of the pacific northwest group (need that rain cover) and it gets dark super early. Besides, I want to model healthy habits to my daughter early on! The best lessons are one's you don't even realize your getting.

  157. I began running this year and ran 3 5ks! :) I never ran with my children in a stroller but with this nice stroller, that may be possible. My normal run is at 6 am before kids are up... but that could change with the right equipment!

  158. What an amazing giveaway! I'm just starting to look at jogging strollers to use with my 2 year old as a start training for the 5K (one of my 31 things to do before I turn 31). This stroller (the single one) looks perfect!

  159. I like to walk alone sometimes but I also like to have my daughter with me sometimes as well. She's fun to talk with and point things out to. It's good to have a little one to chat with while you walk (or run). Somtimes it gives you a different perspective on the things you pass as you walk/run.

  160. We just moved back to Colorado about a month and a half ago. We are *surrounded* by paths and nature (and so much glorious sunshine!!), and for once in my life, I'm really feeling the urge to get back into shape by hitting those paths. Your fitness posts the last few days have been keeping me intrigued. But, yeah... I've got 3 young kids. Either I have to wait for Daddy to be available to watch them, or I have to exercise *with* them. I am down to 2 kids while one is in Kindergarten, but I've never had a jogging stroller, nor do I currently have the means to buy one. Can I tell you what a fantastic blessing a double jogging stroller would be for me right now? Not just me, either. I'd be a healthier mom for my kids and husband, and my kids would be benefiting from extra vitamin D and fresh air exposure! :) Thanks for the chance to win. I'm REALLY keeping my fingers crossed for this one!

  161. I need a reason to go jogging with the kiddo. Our umbrella stroller doesn't cut it so he stays home or if we're alone, I don't get to work out! Boo! I think he would enjoy the ride minus all the bumps he would get in the umbrella stroller.

  162. I don't have a jogging stroller. Just your typical double stroller. So I do my running solo for now. But I take nice, long walks with my kids in the stroller. I'd love to win the Bumbleride Indie Twin. That would make things so much easier. It almost seems too good to be true. I am a firm believer in children learn by example. So I try to keep myself active. Even during the cold winter months (I live in NY). They will in turn keep themselves active.
Thanks so much for a chance to win.
    - Jennifer

  163. I have a single jogging stroller, but with a 4 year old and a 2 year old, it's not exactly feasible to jog with both of them in a single. So, I know that a double jogging stroller would be just what I need to get off my bottom, and start that couch to 5k program! And living out in the country allows for a perfect place to jog, with not a lot of traffic. Thanks! :-)

  164. Sometimes, I run solo and sometimes with one child in tow! I believe children learn by example and keeping active will make them have a more active lifestyle!
    Many thanks, Cindi

  165. How ironic! I JUST (literally) published my 2010 goals and one of them is to get a jogging stroller and jog with my two little ones!! You know I'm saying an extra little prayer about this tonight. (I posted it to my new, not released blog... if you'd like a peek, though, email me!)

You know, I think finding ways to get your kids involved in your physical activities is so important. Whether they're being pushed while you run, or being driven while you bike, or are actually doing their own physical activity with you it's SO important to be the example to their own health.

    Nell

  166. We had someone give us a used jogging stroller, and we really like it. But it's getting pretty beat up and we coudl use a new one!

  167. Anything and everything I do I do with my little helper Lily. There's at least 5 inches of snow on the ground right now so there will be no running for a couple of months but I really need to and want to get more exercise.

  168. THat looks like an awesome stroller... and I've owned an entire fleet of them!! I would love to be able to run with my 3 year olds while big sis is in preschool 3 days a week, but I think that would be pushing a bit beyond my limits.

  169. I love this! it is so hard for me to get out and excercise with my baby and I would love something so useful and stylish. I'm hoping to get back into running, but it sure is hard to start up again.

  170. I have already started thinking about a double stroller. We RARELY use a stroller... usually he is just strapped to one of us in the Ergo, but that is getting more and more difficult as my belly gets bigger (and I get more tired... and he gets heavier!). Besides, there are just times when you need to use a stroller. I really like how this jogger has a swivel front wheel. I have used ones that don't, and don't like them.
I think you are inspiring me to run the 5K after baby #2 arrives. Maybe in the fall???

  171. I've heard nothing but awesome things about this stroller, maybe we could eat Ramen noodles for a month and get one! I think I could promise to run a 5k if I won this stoller!

  172. Ooh la la! These sound like really awesome strollers. I only walk with my baby because I don't have a jogging stroller. I'd really like to go from couch to 5k, myself, but what would I do with the baby? I'm not sure how to make it happen, and I imagine that jogging stroller could help out a lot!

  173. I am just getting back into jogging and would love to have a double jogger for my two kiddos. I am currently trying to jog on the treadmill, but running outside is much funner... and I don't have to wait for a naptime to do it.

  174. I have been contemplating starting to run. I have a cruddy OLD stroller that definitely is NOT conducive to anything more than a brisk walk. This looks and sounds like a wonderful option. Congrats on the 5 K. Maybe I will be joining you in the future.

  175. Getting childcare has been my biggest excuse about not working out. But I'm determined to start running so I can take them (or push them) along with me when I exercise.

  176. With three small children, I need all the ways possible to strap them in (for purposes of safety and sanity). The Indie Twin is completely dreamy!! And the ability to get exercise with two children in tow- amazing!

  177. What an awesome prize, Stephanie!

I currently have a Phil & Teds for my little ones. I've never ran behind it by myself but when the weather is nicer my husband and I have taken turns pushing it while running on Saturday mornings. Have you ever pushed a double stroller while running? If so hats off to you! I don't care how awesome a double stroller is, two kids are H-E-A-V-Y!

  178. Okay, HUGE giveaway =) wow - I'm impressed! I had a jogging stroller that I used with my son but stored it under the steps at our apartment last winter and there was a water leak that I didn't know about and it got covered in mold....gross! I've wanted a new one but with a new baby coming, there are a few other things on the list first. I have heard great things about this company though.

    autumn398 @ yahoo.com

  179. I usually run solo, but not sure I would if I had this slick stroller! I go back and forth between wanting exercise to be a quick break and fresh air for myself and wanting it to be a family affair. Looks like a great stroller!

  180. I started running this summer and just completed my first 8k Nov. 14.... at the time I was 7 weeks pregnant with my first child! Now, at 11 weeks I am continuing to run, but will hang up the racing shoes until the little one arrives in July 2010. I can hardly wait to have him/her here and start running together! I would LOVE to have the running stroller so we can hit the streets/track/whatever as soon as possible post birth.

  181. I actually love running, and now that my new baby is a whole 3 weeks old I have actually been feeling ready to get started again. Of course, not running right away but ya know. Anyway, I have been looking at the Phil and Ted strollers, but this one seems nice too. Do you have the double one, does it fit through a standard door when open?

  182. OK, I've never been a hardcore runner, but a jog I could do! I think just getting out there and doing anything is the key. What a great thing to be able to teach your child too. Seeing mommy stay active sets a great example.

  183. I have run with 1 or 2 kids at a time but also like to go myself. Unfortunately with #3 I'm having trouble running either way-where is the time?!!! The strollers look awesome! Would love to get back in the running grove with one of them!

  184. I figured that was the stroller you were using. I have been eyeing up this stroller forever! I do run but so far only by myself as I don't have a stroller for one or two to run with. If I win this though, it would be perfect to exercise as I could exercise with both girls enjoying the ride!

  185. I used to run with my little guy back when it was just him and we lived in an apartment. Now we're in a house with 2 kids and a treadmill so I like to run when the baby is asleep and my little guy is entertained. It's probably due to the fact that I don't have a double jogger. Man, I hope I win!!!

  186. Yes, woo hooo from Seattle on the rain cover!!! And, the color options are to die for! Based on friends that have this stroller, I've heard awesome things. I'd love to have one for our girls!

  187. I have been thinking about getting into running for a while but always seem to have an excuse. One of the excuses is that I do not have a stroller to accommodate running. If I did run it would be with the babe since I'm fairly certain I couldn't motivate myself to run in the cold of the morning or evening.

  188. I prefer to do my short/daily runs with the jogging stroller and then leave the kids at home with my husband for the long runs! I think it's a great way for the kids to see how important exercise is. And I usually plan the runs so that we end at a park!

  189. So I checked out the website and I am impressed with the storage area! I know a lot of times when I run with my kids it is a snack here and a snack there a bottle here and a bottle there! You know how it goes! They look super comfy so hopefully the child would be willing to sit in it for a longer period of time!

  190. These strollers look so great- our stroller was recently stolen so we're in need of a new one! I don't "run"- light jogging is as fast as it gets, so this stroller would be perfect for me. =)

  191. I love to run with my kids! and they love when i take them out with me. now that they are 5 and 3, it feels like they weigh a ton. since my 5 year old will be in first grade next year and we're expecting our third in may, my running load will eventually lighten up a little bit. i'm hoping my oldest will want to ride his bike with us when we go out for our runs/walks.
i also like to run alone every once in awhile... i get to let my mind wander or listen to my ipod.
a new stroller would be awesome for the times i'm running with the kiddos! thanks for the chance to win : )

  192. I ran a 5K with an awful, awful stroller! I would love to run races in style - with something like this that glides along with my, and provides comfort for my running buddy! :)

  193. This stroller looks awesome! I've been considering getting a jogging stroller since we're thinking about baby #2, I want to get back in shape before I get pregnant again!
