SLY Awards: Glamourmom

SLY Awards: Glamourmom 1SLY Award recipient Kristen McGee nursed her son for a full year and I know she is looking forward to offering that same gift to her baby girl (due in late May).

Kristen is the best kind of breastfeeding advocate because she willingly and humbly shares her breastfeeding experiences with other new moms and moms-to-be. She's not pushy about it though; just helpful and supportive. The world needs more moms like that.

I am happy to be gifting Kristen with a Nursing Bra Tank or Top of her choice from Glamourmom.

SLY Awards: Glamourmom 2Glamourmom's tanks and tops "feature a built-in nursing bra that offers superior breast support and tummy coverage for discretion." Invented by a mom of three small children, the tanks are available in a wide variety of colors and lengths. I particularly like this ruby red color...

Glamourmom also sells nursing sleepwear, a nursing bra slip dress, and a long-sleeved nursing shirt.

YOUR TURN: Have you ever bought a Gamourmom nursing tank? If so, what did you like/not like about it? What other nursing tanks do you love?

  1. I just found out that I am pregnant with my first baby a couple months ago and have decided to breast feed. This would be a great start to many of the stuff that I will need on deciding to do this. thanks so much for the contest!

  2. I have a 3 week old little girl and I would love to try the Glamourmom Tank because I could definitely use more comfortable support while breastfeeding.

  3. I once had a pretty yellow one that I loved. I thought it was so pretty and comfortable until my hubby started calling me Big bird..oh I hated that..lol

  4. I would love to give this to my duaghter who is nursing her second child. I know she loves the nursing tanks as they are more comfortable than the bras, especially at night.

  5. I'd love to be able to try one. My twins are so impatient when they want to nurse I wonder if this would help any LOL.

  6. I absolutely love nursing tanks, they are great for the coming summer months. I would love to get a bright color to wear this summer. Currently I have a black from Yummi Tummi and a white.

  7. This is the perfect tank for any nursing mother! Its so stylish and comfortable in yet you get a great benefit from it,easy access to feed your hungry baby..What a nice thing to have would love to own one myself..

  8. I have one of these tanks!! I need another... I love them- they are fit just like the cami's I usually wear under my shirts- except with the added bonus of nursing access. They are great.

  9. A nursing tank sounds awesome! I was eyeballing them at Target the other day, but these ones look a lot better, they look nice and long.

  10. I'm obviously not a nursing mom, but my wife is and she says she would love a nursing tank so I hope it's ok that I enter for her!

  11. ok - the real comment. I have two nursing tanks. one black and one white. I wear one or the other every day. They are GREAT - they make it so that I can nurse in public (using the moby wrap, too, actually) very discreetly. The only unfortunate thing is that it's so discreet that people will walk up and ask to see the baby and I have to explain that she's nursing!

  12. I have not bought any nursing apparel yet, but I know my time is running out, and I need to get on it! I really don't have any idea about which brands are the best, but I'm glad I heard about Glamourmom!

  13. I have a nursing tank from Target and another from Motherhood Maternity. I prefer the one from Target, but I would love one from Glamourmom. I just had baby # 2 so I am definetly looking for a great nursing tank.

  14. I've bought a Glamourmom nursing tank and I must say it is well thought out. However, I must have ordered the wrong size because it wasn't so easy for me to bust it out when I needed to quickly and efficiently! I've also had some from Gap that were comfy but not as cushy as the Glamourmom.

  15. My son has been nursing for 10.5 months now. I have always meant to tell you, Stephanie, that your advice about nusing made a world of difference for me when I started. People always say that is shouldn't hurt, but you said that it can hurt and that it's okay even if it hurts. It DID hurt, and I think that I would have really been discouraged or thought something was wrong if it hadn't been for you sharing that it really can hurt! thank you for that!!!

  16. I'm about to give birth to my first child and I've been looking at nursing clothes for the last few weeks (so much to choose from!). I like the long lines and color choices of the Glamourmom line.

  17. I never saw anything like this around when I was nursing my first two. I will be sure to try out a nursing tank like this when the third kid comes.

  18. I had one top similar to this back when I was nursing my baby... I LOVED it. I think it would be nice to have more than one when the next baby comes (Eventually...)

  19. When I was nursing my daughter, I lived in nursing tanks! I found that they were great to wear around the house and at night.

  20. I like the look of these tanks much better than another brand of nursing tank I have tried. These don't look like nursing tops and seem like they give great support and shape to the body. Some nursing bras/tanks I have tried seem very....utilitarian. Good for giving baby access, but not flattering AT ALL for mom. These tanks look great!

  21. I have 3 kids (going on 4), and I've never tried a nursing top--although it does seem like a really great idea. To be worth it, it would have to be super convenient. It sounds like Glamourmom has that covered!

  22. I have actually never owned a true nursing top--I was always too cheap to buy one and just got by with button-down shirts instead. I have heard really great things about Glamourmom, though.

  23. I mentioned in your wrap giveaway that my daughter is expecting #6. What nursing bras she hasn't ditched, should be ditched. But a nursing tank with a built in bra would be great.

  24. I, too, am due in May with baby #2 and have been scouring the web for some cute nursing options. This would be a great win for me as these products look amazing and would make nursing a heck of a lot more glamorous for a new mom!

  25. I had two Bravado nursing tanks and loved them. (That was the brand at the store when I looking to buy) I wish I could have tried a Glamourmom nursing tank too. I like that the Glamourmom tank is straight across in the front (For wearing under something where it might show. The Bravado is bunched in the front)

  26. I've been eying the Glamormom tanks since an online friend recommended them a couple years ago. She said they are wonderfully made, supportive, and comfortable. I really want to try them!!!

  27. I've seen these on several blogs, but I've never bought one because I like clothing that I can use after pregnancy/nursing as well - stretchy tops work well when you're mostly at home - although I could rock one of these when we are out!

  28. I have a couple of friends who swore by the glamourmom tanks for nursing. I would love to try it out with baby #2!

  29. I have a couple of nursing tanks (not sure what brand). I love them for layering and for sleeping in, but I don't love them just plain. They look a little too much like nursing tanks to wear without an extra layer.

  30. I've never worn any kind of "real" nursing shirt or tank so I don't know what I'm missing! It would probably be better than stretching out my shirts like I sometimes do.

  31. I don't have any glamourmom tanks yet but I do have the Medela ones... I think I purchased a size too large. Would like to try the glamourmoms for my hungry eater!!

  32. I love, love, love Glamourmom tanks. I have 2 that lasted the entire 9 months I nursed my little guy. Hoping to get a few more for this next go around!

  33. I have never tried out any of their products. I also have the nursing Tanks from Target that I wear very often underneath other shirts.

  34. Hooray for nursing! I was a little sad to see my little guy self-ween at about 14 months. I have never tried glamourmom, but really like all of the Bravado products.

  35. I have 3 nursing tanks that are great... but I don't have a Gamourmom nursing tank... I would love to have one. Even though my little guy is almost one, I don't plan on stopping nursing him in the morning and evening until he is ready to stop... and that probably won't be anytime soon.

  36. I'm still wearing maternity tanks at night, for nursing...not the best, and a nursing tank would be wonderful to use!

  37. As a current nursing Mommy who plans to continue nursing until my little girl is ready to stop, this would be helpful to have...especially this summer when it's so hot.
