I was going to wait until I wrote the PERFECT post to publish this photo.
It's my favorite from our recent family photo shoot.
Our girls were standing on a sloped hill of dried winter leaves. I was a little worried that our youngest might fall. But then our 4-year-old said, "If she falls, I will catch her and save her." (And I believed her).
Do you ever find yourself waiting for things to be "perfect" before you take action?
I'm learning to let go of that.
Today IS the perfect day to do what I've been wanting to do. (And today is your perfect day too).
I am absolutely loving the skirt paired with jeans!
Sisters telling secrets. So sweet!
I can imagine your girls all grown up looking through old photos. What a great thing t look back on photos like these!
That first one is my favorite!
GORGEOUS photo - love the colors!
Erg - yes, I am always waiting for things to be 'just so' - I tend to use this as a way to procrastinate when I am nervous about just jumping in!
I find myself always putting things off until the "perfect time to start". I bet there's a lot of that going around these days...(January and all).
You guys got some really great photos!
Perfectionism is tough to conquer! Thank you for this reminder!! :)
The pictures of your girls are beautiful!! What you've said about today being perfect reminds me of a wonderful book, The Precious Present by Spencer Johnson. If you've never read it I think you would enjoy it!
I really relate to this post and so appreciate your perspective. Those pictures are absolutely priceless. Love them.
what PERFECT and ADORABLE and SWEET pictures!!!
I love this post. So beautiful!!! i really could not have said it any better than you.
Beautiful post, amazing pictures! I used to be more of an all or nothing kind of person but with having kids have learned the value of doing something little each day. Thank you for the encouragement to do something for others rather than waiting to do the "perfect" thing I've been waiting on.
Adorable pictures. Girls are getting even more beautiful!
I am working on this one - if I cant make it to the gym, I can still do a few sit up, it counts.
Like I said, your girls are gorgeous. And your firstborn, oh so amazing......she seems to be her sister's best friend.
Precious pictures!!! I love that you can see the joy in their faces and the fun they are having. Oh the relationship with a sister!!!
Beautiful kids, beautiful photos and a beautiful post. Thanks for the reminder that "perfect" isn't about everything being just so but about us doing the things that God has told us to do today.
those are such adorable photos.
yes, I am constantly waiting until the "perfect" moment to do many things- waiting for the perfect moment to quit my job, start a portrait studio, sell our house, go on a trip... you name it, i tend to wait until it is the perfect moment. great advice and hopefully soon i'll be able to say perfect isn't going to happen and just take the risk.
Awesome! Perfectly written and amazing pictures! Thank you for the encouragement for today!
They are so adorable! And you're right, it's good letting go of "waiting for the perfect time" because if you keep waiting, that time will never come. It's best to live life as you can!
You did write the perfect post to go with the perfect photos!
I shall remember that today is perfect.
That picture really is fantastic. They look so happy and full of life and fun. Thank you for the reminder that every day is a perfect day!
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! This post and the pictures. Thanks for the inspiration to act, regardless of whether or not we think it is 'enough'...it is something. Small things are not small when they are from the heart.
Your girls are just lovely...and even though I haven't seen all of your pictures, that first one is my favorite too. It is just perfect!
I just love the girls outfits in these photos.
I also really appreciate what you said about TODAY being perfect, and no being able to conquer the entire world today, but being able to take a step toward that. I read a blog (thesimplewife.com) and the writer of the blog had a major stroke last week. Out of nowhere. She is young and healthy and fit and has two girls and a husband. It has really been hitting me hard even though I don't 'know' her in real life. We really need to seize the moments that we are gifted with and stop waiting for things to be just right. So thank you for putting that into words.
Such a great post and very true!
I love them!! I would smile every time I saw, them, too :)
well if these aren't the cutest pictures i've EVER seen.
Such great photos.
