tomorrow is the reason I haven't blogged since Tuesday

tomorrow is the reason I haven't blogged since Tuesday 1Have you packed to go somewhere for an entire year? Me neither. Until now.

Tomorrow is the day we launch Give Every Day. We're having breakfast with extended family in the morning. Then, we'll probably take a group shot in front of the RV. Then...the open road.

We decided at the beginning of the week that Saturday would be "go-day," whether or not we had renters for our house. And wouldn't you know it? Our new renters signed the contract and took the keys today (just in the nick of time). They're going to be great renters too - total peace about that.

P.S. If you want to keep up with our unfolding story, please "Like" Give Every Day on Facebook and interact with us there.

You can also follow me on Twitter and follow Tim on Twitter for regular updates.

We'll be traveling through lots of cities. I'm curious. Where are you reading from?

  1. congrats on the renters. I hope your first few days on the road have been fantastic and with few adjustments. Can't wait to hear how things are going.

  2. I am so excited for your guys! This next year is going to be awesome, hard, difficult, rewarding, challenging, life changing and so much more. I am in Gunnison, Colorado (which is in the southwest part of the state on Highway 50. If you come through I would be more than happy to make you lunch and let you do laundry at my place and go for a short hike with you!

  3. Wow! So happy to hear that you rented your place in the nick of time! God has perfect timing!

My parents recently downsized from a 5 bedroom house to 6 suitcases (going on mission trip for four years in Angola) so I have a good idea of what it's like to shrink so dramatically and let go of "stuff" that isn't needed (but...)

You are an inspiration and I'm keeping you and your family in our prayers especially as you travel.

  4. Hooray! So excited that you all are on your way! Didn't we just know the renters would happen that way? You are leaving at just-the-right-time ;)

  5. Congrats! I've been thinking of you all day! I hope your first day went well! I'll be praying and if you come through Minnesota, let me know as I'd love to meet up with you! :)

  6. Oh My God. Its finally happening. I wish you guys the best of luck :) And of course we'll keep up. May the Lord go with you and your family.

  13. Yay! I can't wait to hear all about your exciting adventures. I'm in Minneapolis, but I would strongly recommend that you don't head this way until the snow melts! This year, that could be well into May.
