You affect me

You affect me 1

I make Jo-Lynne's Chicken Enchiladas about every 2 weeks.

I might start drying my curly hair with a t-shirt, thanks to Gabrielle.

Whenever I see the Nestle label, I stop before I make a purchase because of Annie.

I know that Steph and Love have had an effect on my desire to have a big(ger) family.

When I had morning sickness, Donita brought me a Trader Joe's bag of goodies.

When I had my second daughter, Vanessa sent me an embroidered dress with my daughter's name across the chest.

When the going gets tough, I remember that Joy prays for me every day.

Social Media is a marvel, isn't it?

Know this. YOU influence me - the products I buy, the recipes I cook, the books I read, and the parent I am.

Do you recognize anyone in the collage above? (I know I've forgotten quite a few of you).

Who influences/affects YOU in the blogosphere?

  1. It looks like a lot of those who affect you affect me too...such a small world, the blogosphere. What a great way to say thank you to some of your faves. I always enjoy how you find different ways to appreciate those in your lives. Thank you for affecting me!!

  2. Wow Stephanie. What a beautiful post and a beautiful bunch of ladies. I am pretty sure that you know how much you have affected me. Still nice to hear it I hope... You have inspired and encouraged me as a mother, wife, friend, & Christian. Most recently you have helped me start to find a new voice. A true voice. You have set me on the path to finding my soul voice. Thank you.
You also have affected me in that I am now blessed to recognize so many of those lovely ladies- and they affect me too :)

  3. Stephanie! You are the sweetest. And I totally understand what you are saying here. I'm a different, better and more inquiring person because of other bloggers. I re-think everything I do and value because of blogs I read. And a lot of that has to do with YOU!

PS...I make Jo-Lynne's Enchiladas at least once every couple of weeks too. My family ALWAYS requests them!

  4. Stephanie, you affect me! I love reading your posts that are always so thoughtful and without judgement. I strive to write like you Everyone in the collage above should be honored!

    1. Thank you for your kind words, Anne. I am humbled.

P.S. I just popped over to your blog again and saw your sweet Katie's face. Her smile made ME smile. :)

  5. Stephanie! This is so special. You are way too sweet to include me in your collage. Thank you!!!
You affect me! I have rethought a lot of things & just been plan ole encouraged by you so, so many times.
And, your commenters affect me, too. Arbonne was so highly spoken of in the beauty routine post that I have contacted a consultant to learn more.
I have some friends in that collage, too. Nini, of course. And, I have become a faithful reader of Lovely's blog. I love that lady.

  6. Aw, such a sweet post! I love how you took the time to include the photos- such hard work, and such a sweet tribute! I feel honored to be up there because YOU inspire ME so much. Seriously, I think my husband thinks we are best friends with how much I talk to him about you. Your posts challenge me to THINK, and the freedom to be DIFFERENT, and inspire me to LIVE life fully and completely.

You are one of a kind Stephanie, and I'm so happy we have blogging- and so glad you blog so I can learn from you each day. :) xoxo

    1. That collage did take FOREVER (like an entire morning), but I am really proud of the finished product. So many beautiful faces of women that I admire...including YOU!

  8. what a great post - I like this...and I'm FLATTERED that my lil mug is on there too.

there are only three of four blogs that I read everyday (I know...I'm such a slacker these days) and you and Gabby's are two of them ;-)

  9. Wow... see posts like this encourage me to keep blogging.. i want somebody to write about me this way some day !!

  10. Social media is quite something. I am so thankful to know you and so looking forward to your new adventure...when is your take of day...soon!??! And...looking forward to when you hit the west coast! Thanks for including me on this...you are amazing, on so many levels and I think I can speak for many of us when I say that YOU are affecting others by being real, vulnerable, available and so encouraging!

    1. Yes, hopefully soon. We are SO READY to be out of here. ;)

The production company is supposed to give us some news on Tuesday and we'll probably leave shortly thereafter.

  11. Thank you! I do recognize some of the ladies...Jenn Miller and Becca! I love how blogging makes our world smaller and smaller. Thank you for the way you continue to inspire me and our family!

  12. Awww what a great post! I am absolutely honored to be a part of that group. When I started blogging, you were one of my first "regular" reads. You still are one of the first blogs I click on when I see a new post. In other words... you affect me.
    Thanks for this :)

  13. Thank you! I am so honored.
I've had people tell me that they don't like reading blogs because they compare themselves too much and end up feeling bad. I don't get this. Sure there are blogs that I don't like, but I don't read those. The ones that I do like, though, (yours for instance) inspire me to be a better wife, mama, and all round person. I am really grateful for the way the internet has connected me to you and so many others. It's just such a cool thing!!

  14. p.s. The recipe that you asked for, for the chocolate-covered peanuts, is:
    1/2 pkg. almond bark
    1 bag chocolate chips
    handful butterscotch chips

Melt together, then mix w/ a jar of peanuts and drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Yum!

  15. I am a short-time follower of your blog, but I really love it. Your positive attitude is so inspirational, and the way you spend so much quality time with your kids actually playing with them and interacting with them pushes me to do the same (or as close as I can). So you inspire me! :)

  16. omg!! you totally made my day. I feel famous because my face is on YOUR blog! I love this post...you've got me thinking of who I'm going to name!

You're amazing Stephanie...your life is an inspiration!

    1. Are you going to write a post about who affects you too? I hope so. I'd love to see where you "wander" in the blogosphere. :)

  17. You just made my evening and made me feel loved ( :

So thankful I have been able to read your lovely blog and can't wait to read more and learn and be inspired by you through your new adventure!
Thank you for being my friend and visiting my blog and leaving the sweetest comments!

    You are special....very very special!

    (all these women are INCREDIBLE)

  18. awww that is so sweet! :) I am definitely affected by the bloggers I have met and grown to love... have to say I have not "met" many of those in your photo but hope to someday! :)

  19. Hopefully this comment works - for some reason my comments haven't been working on anything except blogger blogs :(

You do influence me too - I loves the connections I've made through social media!

  20. What a great post, Steph...thanks for including me in that great bunch of gals. You, my friend, have affected...and continually inspire me and so many!
