5 Stocking Stuffer Ideas: for Her

If you're looking for some fun, fabulous, + functional stocking stuffer ideas for her, you've come to the right place.

Here are five ideas to get your wheels turning:

magnapodsMagnaPods ($7.99-$9.99)

If you only have one more stocking stuffer to get, THIS should be it. At first glance, it looks kind-of cheesy and informercial-ish. But I can assure you that these "magnetic organizers for your home" are all that and a bag of chips (Did I just say that? Writing at 1:22am is probably not the best idea).

Really, though. These high quality plastic containers that magnetically adhere to the inside of your steel-framed medicine cabinet door are BRILLIANT. My husband actually loves them too because my make-up is no longer scattered all over the bathroom counter. My lipsticks, mascaras, and brushes are all lined up neatly inside our medicine cabinet - within quick reach, yet out-of-sight.

If you don't get some in your stocking, you might just want to buy some for yourself. They are an innovative organization tool that is ideal for any woman.

skin food by weledaSkin Food by Weleda ($10 for 1-ounce)

I wouldn't be surprised if this rich, 100% organic "hydrating cream" (a fancy term for lotion) ends up on Oprah. I used it liberally on my legs, arms, elbows, and hands...with great results. It's thick and luxurious, yet it doesn't leave a residue. I just used up the last of my tube last night and I'm missing it already.

Weleda also has a wonderful Pomegranate Regenerating Hand Cream that is great for tired, dry, winter-y hands. I've been using it nightly.

hair barrettesHair Accessories by Goody

Goody sells hair ties, barrettes, headbands, scarves, and hair styling tools. The collections span a variety of distinct "personalities" - there are products for sporting events, a night out, or a cruise vacation...all at affordable prices and all available at your nearby grocery/discount store.

maraschino-cherries-tillen-farmsMaraschino Cherries by Tillen Farms ($6.99/14-ounce jar)

The past few days my 3-year-old has been asking for "a cherry, please." She is referring to Tillen Farms' Merry Maraschino Cherries - cherries that are completely free of artificial colors, artificial flavors, sulfites, and preservatives.

Now that I've had these cherries, I think I might "turn my nose up" a bit at the fake kind you buy in the grocery store aisles. These are much better - yet they still are sublimely sweet. Perfect for making shirley temples and decadent desserts.

sonicare flexcare+Sonicare FlexCare+ by Philips

I tried a manual toothbrush and then I tried Philips' Sonicare FlexCare+...and there is NO COMPARISON. When you brush with a Sonicare, your teeth feel smooth and slippery and sparkly. I roll my tongue across my teeth and it feels like I just went to the dentist. No wonder my dentist recommended this brush to me!

With its built-in timer functionality, you can be assured that you brushing long enough. It's also rechargeable, which makes maintenance a breeze. Plus, it comes with a UV brush head sanitizer that kills up to 99% of bacteria and viruses on the brush head (germaphobes, celebrate!).

Despite the steep cost ($190), I often recommend the brush to friends & family because I'm convinced that it may actually be CHEAPER in the long run. The question to ask yourself is this: wouldn't you rather pay more now to avoid costly dental check-ups and operations in the future? I know that I would - not only to save money, but also to save my mouth any unneeded agony.

  1. MagnaPods sound wonderful for holding all those free sample-sized products that tend to float around my bathroom cabinets.

  2. the sonicare toothbrush looks AMAZING! ive always wanted to try one :)
    great stocking stuffer ideas :)
    thanks for the amazing giveaway

  3. I've always loved maraschino cherries but was put off by its scary neon color so Tillen Farms’ Merry Maraschino Cherries sounds great! The MagnaPods are one for those "Why didn't I think of that?" products, I'm going to get some for my sister!

  4. great stocking stuffer ideas i always put stuff from goody in my nieces stocking she loves it. I will for sure for carly. I love the idea of the Sonicare FlexCare I would love finding that in my stocking.

  5. I am desperate for an effective hand cream and this one sounds great. Their kid toothpaste was the only one our toddler would ust too.

  6. I actually printed this post out and put it where my husband would see it right after you first posted. I'll have to see if he took any hints from what you had listed. It would be too funny if these 5 things were all that was in my stocking!! Knowing him I might get some lotion and dark chocolate along with a few practical items.

My detist recommended the Sonicare also. A friend who uses it raves about it.

  7. Such great goodies! I currently use some baby Weleda products on my son and love them..I would love to try Skin Food. My hands are cracking due to dryness even thought I use hand cream, this sounds more heavy duty!

  8. OK, I would eat all of the maraschino cherries, forget about giving any away!! I have never tried any other kind of toothbrush besides the ones that I get from the dentist, but I am way into oral care (never had a cavity) so I would love to try the Sonicare. Plus I would really need it after eating all of those cherries!
    Merry Christmas!

  9. The Magnapods sound like a great idea. Our masterbathroom is super tiny, so I'm always looking for space-saving ideas. Thanks for the idea. Merry Christmas!

  10. I've tried other electric toothbrushes before and didn't like how they vibrated against my teeth. I'd love to give the sonicare a try. The others were just cheap ones that didn't last long.

  11. An electic toothbrush is actually on my list this year. I like the MagnaPods idea, just wish I had a medicine cabinet to use them in.
I like using kitchen accessories for stocking stuffers for my mom.

  12. I can't say I have ever craved cherries until reading this post. Since I first saw it, I have wanted some! You can't go wrong with a Sonicare, but as a fellow curly haired gal, I think hair accessories are always a nice addition to the madness that is my hair!

  13. Mmm...cherries, for Christmas cocktails. Wonderful! This year, toasty mitts are also a highly desired item for my stocking. Merry Christmas to you!

  14. Those are great ideas! I love the MagnaPods idea. I have never seen anything like it! Would be great for the kids too.
My dental hyg. keeps recommending a SoniCare!

  15. We don't even have our stockings hung (how sad is that?) but I would love to find these in mine! I love maraschino cherries but normally think all the weird fake stuff in them is gross... and what a cool toothbrush! My dentist would be so proud.

  16. I've never heard of the MagnaPods - what a neat idea! I'm always looking for a better way to store/organize my makeup! Thank you for this review...

  17. I love shopping for stocking stuffers! That's the best part! The practical, the fun...it's all good! BTW, I love Goody Hair accessories. So cute, from the oh-so young to the mature!

  18. This is an awesome giveaway! I know what you mean about "regular" maraschino cherries; they are such a strange neon red color that they don't even look like real cherries!

  19. Well, all the goodies look great, but I must say I've been itching for that toothbrush - we've already moved to a battery operated Colgate brush and just that has been a great improvement - I'm guessing this would be a million times better!!

  20. Crossing my fingers on this one, I've been eyeing Sonicare's toothbrushes for a while but they're a little pricey for me!

  21. Haven't heard of MagnaPods before. I'm checking them out now because it seems like just the sort of thing my wife might appreciate, though she'd use them in all sorts of other places than the medicine cabinet.

  22. Thanks so much for the fabulous giveaway - I would be SO thrilled to win! I have wanted try the Phillips SoicCare toothbrush...instead of my everyday manual toothbrush...for the longest time!

  23. Giving someone the cherries with other Hot fudge sundae toppings would be a great idea too (maybe leave out the ice cream) but you could put some banana's, chopped nuts, canned whipped cream..just remind them what it's for or they could get a very WRONG idea!

  24. I think the magnapods would be great (for similar reasons to what you mentioned) -- but I'd be most excited to use the toothbrush! I've never used an electric one, it's one of those things I keep meaning to buy, but I always find other things to spend my money on!

  25. I'm always on the lookout for a great toothbrush! And oh... I do love marachino cherries... I like this giveaway! Thanks Stephanie. :)

  26. I love the ideas!!The toothbrush sounds great as do the magna pods--awesome storage idea!! zmama09 at yahoo dot com
    happy holidays!!!!!!!

  27. What wonderful ideas! I would love to find any of these in my stocking. I can imagine my hubby would love the MagnaPods too since he's always complaining about our countertop!

  28. Those cherries sound really good right now! I haven't had a Sonicare toothbrush for over a year now, that also sounds really good (for my teeth!)!

  29. Wow that is an impressice give away. I don't think I have ever tried an electric toothbrush. That does sound expensive but at the same time I know that Dentist work is expensive! So you are right, it might save money in the long run.

  30. Don't you just love it when you find a good lotion? I especially need it in our cold, dry climate. My hands are literally like paper as I type this.

LOVE the toothbrush idea. I've always wanted one but every time I find an extra $190 lying around I spend it on something else. :(

  31. I've never heard of magnapods, they sound wonderful! And the sonicare flexcare sounds great; I spend ages brushing my teeth each morning - perhaps a little obsessive here - and I sometimes wonder if I'm scraping my teeth clean at the expense of my gums. It sounds like a good idea to get the job done - and have a timer tell me when to quit!

  32. I HATE going to the dentist, so I'm definitely going to check out the Sonicare toothbrush. Anything to make those visits less miserable.

  33. As per previous comment that I would be stuffing my own stocking I sure would like to stuff my stocking with these goodies. I'm not a big Maraschino cherry girl but these have me intrigued, maybe I would like them if they weren't fake!

  34. A fun list of ideas, Stephanie! I think my husband & I might only exchange stockings this year, and just this morning he was saying he didn't know what sort of things to put in it...so I told him he just needs to look on metropolitan mama! Thanks for having such good ideas to point him towards :)

  35. I rigged a magnapod-type device in our bathroom cabinet a couple of years ago. Why oh why didn't I think of selling the idea?!!! It's a GREAT way to use the space!

I love your stocking stuffer ideas! Thank you!!

  36. First of all I love those cherries....I could eat the whole jar in one sitting and make myself sick. I would love to try the ornagnizing magnets...who doesn't love that kind of stuff. Last I totally need a new tooth brush. I had a sonic care for like 5 years and loved it...it broke during a move!

  37. The MagnaPods are such a great idea...great for so many things! I wonder if you could even organize all of the baby/kid stuff in them...the nail clippers and tiny combs and Baby Mylecon and such!

  38. Those magna pods are great!! I need some for my fridge. I like to keep paper/pens on the side of the fridge and I'm using a similar thing right now.

You always come up with great gift ideas! I'd love to win all that stuff. But even if I don't, I might go buy some of it. :)

  39. Thanks Stephanie! I actually asked for some hair things for my stocking because I love keeping my hair long but it needs to be professional looking for work! I also electric toothbrushes. I had one for like 3 years before it broke and just haven't been able to get another one!

  40. Thank you for taking the time to really share some great little treats for the stockings! I wish I had someplace to stick those magnapads ~ I think the only magnetic place at our home is the refrigerator. Although I love how it can help keep you organized and keep clutter off counters.

  41. Great ideas! If we weren't getting hit with a big storm this weekend, I'd start hinting to a certain someone that I'd like some of these things in my stocking. I'd love to try the pomegranate hand cream. My hands are so dry this time of year.

  42. I recently got a Goody headband with a gorgeous sparkly design on it - perfect for Jeff's holiday party. They have great accessories for those of us partial to a little glamour!

And I, too, am a big fan of the electric toothbrush. Count me in the "rather spend more now camp".

  43. I love how I can never think of stocking stuffers and then I come here and look what you have! Those make-up organizers are great! I might just run out and get me one anyways! Thanks for the ideas I will be passing these along!

  44. Great stocking stuffers for the ladies! The magnetic organizers are a wonderful idea for the women in our family; especially, me. Many thanks for all of your wonderful ideas. You never cease to amaze me and what I take away from your posts.
    Cindi

  45. Those cherries sound awesome. I had sworn off jar cherries as I didn't want to turn into the chemicals inside of them! My husband will flip with joy over the magna pods too! Less mess makes him so very happy!

  46. I love Sonicare toothbrushes but my husband's pooped out a while back and we haven't replaced it yet, so this would be HIS stocking stuffer if I won! The maraschino cherries, however, would be all Roo's...

  47. Bag of chips, hee-hee! I talk like that all day ;)Those cherries rock! We stay far away from perservatives and food coloring but luv maraschino cherries....I am off to check them out, have a great weekend! :)

  48. I have been looking for cherries that my toddler can it. Thank you for this idea. It is so hard to find food nowdays which is not in metal cans, has no preservatives, artificial flavors, etc etc...

  49. Okay, I have to laugh because in my pregnancy cravings a few weeks back I bought a jar of cherries - although I doubt they are as "good" as the ones you're offering - mine were Walmart brand =)

  50. THanks for the ideas, I've been struggling to think of stuffers for my MIL who is spending CHristmas with us for the first time ever. And my daughter loves those cherries so I'd love to stuff HER stocking with them. :-)

  51. Oh, I would love those MagnaPods. I will say that it's a bad idea to store your makeup in the bathroom, though. The moisture leads to gross things brewing in your mascara, foundation, etc!! Ewww!!

  52. I think this looks like a pretty awesome set of goodies for stocking stuffers. I've heard a lot of great things about the Philips Sonicare toothbrush. I love the outlook you take on gifts, practical, fun and enjoyable! Thanks!
