Filling up and displaying stocking stuffers is one of my favorite Christmas “chores.” I love the challenge of finding FUNctional “miniature” things for everyone on my list.
Below you will find my top picks for the best stocking stuffers for adults in 2016.
I’ve been using these miniature metal darts to mark favorite sentences as I read. Such a great alternative to traditional bookmarks since they can pinpoint an exact place on a page! Book darts come in an attractive circular tin that is just the right size for stockings. $13.95/pack of 50
If you are filling a stocking for a writer, homeschooler, or dreamer, a new set of dry erase markers is a practical pick. I have two HUGE dry erase boards in my writing room and I’d be quite giddy upon receiving this set of 13 colorful chisel tip markers. Although the amazon picture makes the package appear large, it’s actually just the right size for a stocking.
You really can’t go wrong with any of Ghirardelli’s famous chocolate squares. If you are undecided, however, I recommend the Twilight Delight Intense Dark squares. At 72% cacao, there is exactly the right amount of bitter and sweet in every creamy bite.
Extra-special treats are always fun to find in a stocking…and Mauna Loa’s Honey Roasted Macadamia Nuts definitely fall in that category! Light and sweet with an irresistible honey glaze, you can’t help popping them in your mouth.
Anything with dark chocolate is a GO for stockings and these macadamia nuts are an especially decadent treat. Each rounded chocolate is the kind of high quality candy that you want to savor. Fun sidenote: If you’re ever in Hilo, Hawaii, you can stop in at the Mauna Loa Visitor Center for free samples and a tour.
We use Neosporin often in our house for cuts and scrapes to (a) keep infection at bay and (b) to speed up healing. $6.71
Keep teeth clean and breath fresh with these mint flavored flossers that slide easily between teeth without breaking. This is the go-to brand in our house. Plackers also makes berry-flavored BPA-free flossers for kids (with fluoride). $10.69/pack of 3
This set of 50 skewers can be used for grilling (pineapple, bacon, and chicken…mmm), but they are equally handy for putting together fun snacks (like fruit kabobs or cheese/meat lunchbox entrees). Not to mention arts & crafts projects!
A spatula is a good stocking stuffer for almost anyone because it is such a versatile kitchen instrument. We use this 14-inch bamboo one for slicing serving up cornbread, brownies, and other baked goods. Remember not to put in the dishwasher or to soak in water to keep it from splintering!
Tweezerman tweezers are pricey, but they are the best I’ve found. They are ergonomic, elegant, and end in a super sharp point. I’ve had my pair for over 5 years and they are still going strong!
