When it comes to gift giving and receiving, I'm not a big fan of surprises. I would much rather receive something that I really want/need than something that someone thinks I want/need. Likewise, I'd rather give something desirable than take a wild guess and hope I'm right.
That's why I like Christmas wish lists. I've had an Amazon.com wishlist for a long time and I just recently made another wish list on wishlist.com.
Amazon, of course, is the behemoth of online shopping. It has a huge selection, good prices, and an easy-to-navigate design. But it lacks in customer service and shipping costs/speeds. And it sometimes isn't as cheap as other competitors.
One thing that I like about wishlist.com is that it allows you to compare prices from several large retailers like half.com, drugstore.com, diapers.com, etc.
Here are my top three "wishes" for Christmas 2007:
Writers Market Deluxe Edition or a subscription to writersmarket.com
Brown pumps in size 6.5 (leather, preferably with a 2-2.5 inch heel)
Oral-B Triumph
What's on your list?
I have the 2008 Writer's Market on my amazon wish list, too. :) I also have some other writing books listed. :)
I think that since I'll have the new baby by then I'll be drooling after new clothes to feel good about myself in and things to pamper myself with, like massages, spa days, or do-it-yourself stuff like bubble bath and manicure kits. Ooh, and highlights for my hair...
I was worried for a sec when you said " allows you to compare prices from several large retailers like ... diapers.com". I know that diapers are expensive, but the should not be on your wish list! :)
oh those are all great things on your list.
I guess I should make one up. I'll make one now!
