ebook for beginning bloggers [FREE thru September 1st]

ebook for beginning bloggers [FREE thru September 1st] 1Two years ago, I released an 85-page ebook titled "Bloggertunity: A Mom's Guide to Blogging." It's an introduction to blogging in a casual, conversational tone.

The ebook covers how to:

  • Start a blog
  • Grow an audience
  • Create captivating content
  • Make money
  • Review products
  • Make a positive impact in the world
ebook for beginning bloggers [FREE thru September 1st] 2Because technology changes rapidly, some of the content is no longer cutting edge...and some of my opinions have changed (gasp! I know, right?). Still, the principles have remained the same and there are plenty of golden nuggets to grasp in its pages. Plus, I've updated the resource pages at the end.

Before I archive the book on September 1st, I want to give you a chance to get started with your own bloggertunity...FREE.

It's easy - Like Metropolitan Mama on Facebook to get the free download code.

If you appreciate this resource and would like to see other free downloads, ebooks, and printables in the future...please consider supporting my work in one or more of the following ways.

  • Spread the word about my free ebook on your blog or on Facebook.
  • Follow me on Twitter.

  • Give my blog or my posts a +1 on Google.

  1. Hello!

I want to let you know that I am reading your ebook - Bloggertunity. I am looking forward to learn something new. I try my best to keep my blog updated.

In addition, I added you on Twitter and a button of you on my sidebar of my blog. I look forward to read your blog.

    Thanks!

  2. Thanks for all your wisdom and advice! I would love to hear if you have any ideas on marketing to a hyper local crowd. And a few more specifics on twitter, too... etiquette, etc. Can I just tweet to someone/organization and promote my site? Or would it be better to DM? Thoughts???

    1. As with all social media tools, it's important to promote others even more than you promote yourself. (But I know you already know that). :)

I think it is totally fine to @ a company or an individual that you think might have an interest in your site...if you do it in a casual, non-spammy way. Perhaps it might be best to establish a relationship first though? Read & respond to their tweets. Send links to helpful articles. Comment on their blog. Etc.

  3. How fun! I'll definitely have to check it out-I've only been blogging a little over a year and I know I have lots to learn still!!

  4. Stephanie, I have been thinking about starting a blog for moms of teens for some time but have been somewhat overwhelmed as to where to start. Hopefully your ebook will be just what I needed.

    Thanks so much!
    Love ya!

    1. It blows me away that you're now a mom of several teens! It must be a crazy, wonderful season of life.

Let me know if you have any questions as you work your way through the book. :)

  5. Thank you! I'm totally doing a little dance! (And it isn't pretty).

I bought your awesome e-book (pre-blog) about a year ago and cruised through it on my ancient computer.
I have been dying to go back to it, take notes, and actually comprehend more of what you wrote about, but dreaded firing up "the beast."

Thank you! I am thrilled that I was now able to easily download to this much speedier laptop! (Hope I didn't take a copy from someone else who could use it).

I will continue to spread the word.
    Must...tackle...more... advanced...blog...format... (i.e. add your button:)

    1. Thanks for the encouragement, Marissa. I hope to offer many other free resources in the future. Anything in particular you would like to see?

  6. love your book. I bought it about 2 years ago :)
I was debating what to choose - Blogger or WordPress, but chose wordpress because of your recommendations. I am so happy I did. I would never switch to Blogger

    1. I stand by that recommendation. WordPress is a great platform to use - so much potential and innovation.

  7. Hi Stephanie, THANKS for the ebook. Stephanie Precourt at Adventures in Babywearing sent me the link probably so I pester her one or two questions less about blogability! Just a few pages in and I am enjoying the book and finding good pointers THANKS. Question-with blogger how tricky would it be to change the blog name without losing momentum?

    1. Isn't Steph the best? Her blog is one of my favorites!

If you start anew with an original name, you'll lose your standing with google and may lose some readers, but your most loyal readers will likely follow you to your new URL. You can also set up an automatic re-direct so that anyone who comes to your blog will be routed to your new one. :)

  8. I bought this book a while back & it has been fabulous. A great resource for learning to grow my blog and get what I want from it. Has it changed enough that I should download the newer version as well?

Your blog wisdom is so valuable!! Thanks for sharing what you know.

    1. The edits are minimal. I added several items to the "resource" section at the end, but the bulk of the content is the same. You're welcome to download a new copy and sneak a peek.

  9. Stephanie, your kindness and sincerity in life are truly inspiring. I look forward to reading your e-book, as I contemplated buying it two years ago (how did 2 years already pass so quickly?!) and lost track and forgot. Thank you for sharing it with everyone, and I look forward to your future e-books and adventures.

  10. Stephanie,
Thank you so much for doing this! I can't wait to read your wise words and glean from you! I'll continue spreading the word about you. :)

  11. What a great opportunity! I was just thinking a few days ago that I needed to get your ebook as I'm trying to be a little more serious about my blog. Thanks!

  12. This is a really great resource for beginning bloggers! :) I know b/c I bought it when I started getting more serious about blogging daily! I loved reading it - I'm going to check out your updated resources! :) Can't wait to see what else you come out with! :0)

  13. i can't wait to read it"! though i have no idea how to access it? i just spend 15 minutes going back and forth between this site and facebook? am i missing something? or do i just need to get some sleep and hit this tomorrow night!? hahaha

  14. OH I know I have not been blogging but I am excited to read the updates! I already "like" you on FB and follow you on Twitter. But I am happy to do a little jig and pass the word :) As far as the +1 goes, I have yet to check out Google+. I would be happy to hear your thoughts on it though!

    1. I'm still in the "discovery" stage with Google+. Perhaps I'll write a post once I have an opportunity to form an opinion about its usefulness. The verdict is still out. ;)
