interim

November 14, 2010 By Stephanie

interim 1We’re in-between here and there.

We handed over the keys to our house yesterday.

For now, we are living out of boxes at Tim’s parents. See above (note: cutest baby ever, napping).

I’m one of the lucky ones who never understand “in-law jokes” because my in-laws are phenomenal. I think the girls barely even miss our old house – they now get to spend every day with “Ma.”

That said, it’s still close quarters. I already miss having my own kitchen, wearing my pajamas around the house, etc.

This is Tim’s last week at work. Then…let the RV-shopping begin! (Can’t wait).

Everything is a blur. This is really happening (and I am glad). Change is hard/good/fun/overwhelming/exciting – all at the same time.

Wow, you have awesome inlaws. I have great inlaws too! My mother in law is like a mom to me!! I think it’s so cool that you get to stay in their basement despite the lack of room and kitchen. But if I am learning anything it’s “this too shall pass”

I also feel the same way about my in-laws, my mother-in-law and I are very close with eachother – I couldn’t imagine it being any other way. This is so exciting for you and your family, I cannot wait to see what exciting adventures unfold for you along your journey!

Wow, you’re on the edge of a new chapter – – it must be a heady mix of trepidation and exhiliration! I admire your courage and I’ll be following you here – and on Give Every Day – let the Grand Adventure begin!

I have pretty fabulous in-laws too! I’m blessed. I don’t intend to live with them ever (like as in my husband wants to go back to school live in their basement for a few years live), but I could do a month or two. Double bonus, they and my parents are friends. We all do Thanksgiving together at my parent’s house. No having to choose, win for us!

I love my parents and my in-laws, but we’ve spent a lot of time with them living out of boxes, and it gets hard. I hope the time is enjoyable for all of you.

Parents and in-laws are great but there is something about having ones own space, even if the space will be small and on wheels!

Tell me about it! I am definitely yearning for my own space. We’re hoping to make an RV purchase within the next 2 weeks.

I am so glad that you don’t get the jokes. I do, and it’s not fun :(

I am happy for you and your family. The kids get some extra time with Grandma before you go, and you have a nice place to transition :)

An interesting place to be, in between. How do you feel about it being so close to the holiday season?

SO exciting. We have so many plans and ideas that we want to do when hubby gets out of the Navy…you and your story is very inspiring. Swap “rv” for “boat” and you have our little dream figured out. I am enjoying actually seeing the “real” steps to making it happen.

Living in a houseboat and sailing around the world sounds so romantic (and intriguing). Unfortunately, my horrible sea-legs will prevent me from ever doing such a thing. We’ll have to stick to “wheels.” ;)

WOW! WOW! WOW! You are in the thick of it! I have been thinking of you and praying for you guys. I know how it feels to be SO thankful and appreciative to have a place to stay, but being in the ‘in between’ and not having your own space. Your tiny looks so tiny in that bed! Looking forward to seeing what RV you end up with!
