Mother’s Day Giveaway: Mod Bod

May 1, 2011 By Stephanie

I probably wear shirts with “layers” about 6 out of the 7 days of the week. I like the added coverage and the extra pop of color from behind a hoodie, cardigan, or deep-v blouse.

Do you layer too?

Then, you’re sure to like Mod Bod – a Utah based company that specializes in modest basics at affordable prices.

Wow, those are actually really affordable layering t’s! That’s always my hold up on getting them- I need them, but they’re such a boring, basic necessity clothing item I’m always irritated to spend money on them.

Love it! Always need more layering for dressing in the summer!

  42. Rena says

    May 3, 2011 at 2:54 pm

I never layer simply because it seems like it would be hot. Is it? I’m always anxious to shed a layer in 100 degree weather. Though the layered look would be nice in sub zero temps at Christmas time in Wyoming!

  43. Sara Mather says

    May 3, 2011 at 1:48 pm

  46. Anita says

    May 3, 2011 at 11:13 am

This cami is a “girls dream come true”. We all have bulges that need to be tucked away. At my age I need all the help I can get. This cami gives you the young girl look you haven’t seen in awhile.

  47. Teresa says

    May 3, 2011 at 10:49 am

Ha! I am wearing two tank tops now! I love to layer, it helps me regulate my temperature and make sure I keep the bits of me I like covered under wraps. I had never heard of mod bod before this giveaway, but I took a look at their website, there are some really classic clothes on there at a reasonable price. Thanks for cluing me into a brand that I want to remember!

  48. Tiffany says

    May 3, 2011 at 10:31 am

Layering is a MUST in Colorado all of the time! Yesterday we saw a sun, clouds, wind and snow but luckily no rain – or maybe rain would have been better than snow!

  49. Rachel says

    May 3, 2011 at 10:25 am

I heart layering, especially since I’m a fan of v-neck shirts. Layering gives me the extra modesty, while I can still wear a flattering v-neck!

I’ve never bought a Mod Bod shirt however I love how simple these pieces are. I do like to layer and have the flexibility to dress up and down. Plus with the changing weather where I live this would be perfect. Thanks for sharing about Mod Bod.

  54. Vanessa says

    May 2, 2011 at 10:26 pm

I actually don’t wear layers because I always feel too hot when I do. However, I seriously am considering it lately as I feel it does look so cute. So this would be great to try!

  55. Ashleigh says

    May 2, 2011 at 10:16 pm

I have a Modbod camisole that my mother in-law bought for me and it’s BY FAR my favorite item of clothing that I own. I wear it with almost everything. I just love the lace around the bottom and how it’s the perfect length for layering.

  56. Betsy says

    May 2, 2011 at 9:41 pm

All these Mod Bod options look so cute and comfortable. I would love to try them!

  57. kolpin says

    May 2, 2011 at 8:45 pm

i love how they don’t look sheer. too many undershirts feel thin and poorly made.

  58. Katie says

    May 2, 2011 at 8:24 pm

I love layering. I layer something clothes all the time and I love these tanks. They would really be great as a way to layer and be modest.

  59. Dana says

i like the coverage-my clothes always ride up

  60. Cindy A. says

    May 2, 2011 at 7:32 pm

Absolutely! Layering is a must… especially considering how thin and low cut most blouses are now. I can’t even remember the last time I wore a blouse without a cami underneath.

  61. jes [a mountain bride] says

    May 2, 2011 at 7:30 pm

after i’ve had clara I find my clothing choices much more limited – my boobs are just entirely too large for my regular tops – I need to wear undershirts to keep “the girls” from making me feel like a skank. :-)

  62. Madeline says

    May 2, 2011 at 7:20 pm

This is the first I’ve heard of them. But, I do love a good tank or cami for layering.

  63. Joanna @ Starving Student Survivor says

    May 2, 2011 at 6:52 pm

I love how high the necklines are. There’s nothing more annoying than buying a layering tank to make a low-neck blouse more modest, only to find that the tank top doesn’t cover up much more than the blouse did.

  64. Kristin Evans says

    May 2, 2011 at 6:48 pm

I love to layer, especially when breastfeeding. These are very nice tanks! I love a hoodie and a tank as a top any day!

  68. Amy M says

    May 2, 2011 at 4:29 pm

I’m a layerer, it seems that so many shirts are so short – I layer to give those shirts a much needed extra couple of inches! I’ve never heard of Mod Bod, they look like great shirts!

  69. Sara says

    May 2, 2011 at 4:11 pm

I wear a tank under my top every day. I find it makes a huge difference when nursing, I don’t have to bare any skin and use any top as a nursing top. Works for me and I like the layer look anyway.

  71. NGS says

    May 2, 2011 at 3:51 pm

I was trying on some “extra long” tanks at a well known major retailer recently and I had to laugh because the tanks still weren’t long enough for me!! I love the idea of designers actually making undershirts with some length.

I’ve never bought this particular brand, but I do wear a lot of camisoles (well, the same three over and over again) because I’ve got quite a few dresses that would show too much cleavage if worn without.

  77. Jacqueline says

    May 2, 2011 at 12:25 pm

I’m always loking for clothing that is comfortable and practical. these cami tops look great because they have a high neckline with a long bottom. i need a variety of clothing because i live in a climate where you have four seasons so i need lots of clothing that i can layer all different ways to get a combination of different style changes. this can be challenging, but i know these tops would really help me out a great deal especially since i’m very financially pressed right now so buying new clothing is not an option at the moment. It’s very nice to see that someone is offering a special giveaway like this especially before Mother’s Day.

  78. Lisa says

    May 2, 2011 at 12:25 pm

No, I have not purchased them before. I need to layer more (everyone else does). I am sometimes too set in my ways.

  79. Laurie says

    May 2, 2011 at 12:14 pm

  84. Maman A Droit says

    May 2, 2011 at 11:01 am

Like Danielle I have an unusually short length between the top of my bust and my shoulder, so most tanks are too low cut. So I’m super excited that they have higher necklines than usual. I would wear these pretty much daily….if I could decide which colors I wanted!

  103. Amber C says

    May 2, 2011 at 7:03 am

I layer quite frequently!! There are so many cute shirts that just dip a little too low for me in front so layering helps me make it modest. I haven’t heard of this company yet but I am sure to check them out now! Thanks!

I like to layer but have a hard time finding ‘modest’ laying pieces. seems all the layering pieces in the stores are also lowcut!! This sounds like a great place for good basics!! TY!

  106. Sarah R. says

    May 2, 2011 at 6:18 am

  107. Melissa says

    May 2, 2011 at 6:06 am

I love to layer and even like to wear a cami under shirts when it won’t show just for comfortt. These shirts look great and I love that the v-neck shirt doesn’t look super low v-neck it can be so hard to find v-necks that don’t show everything.

  108. Sara says

    May 2, 2011 at 5:54 am

Yes – coverage!!! I think we can be so hard on our post-mom bodies. It’s a shame because look at all the blessings they have given us. I’ve discovered that I just can’t wear the thin shirts I used to…and that’s totally okay. Layering is a mom’s best friend!!

  109. Katelyn says

    May 2, 2011 at 5:53 am

I layer almost every day. Normally a nursing tank (too low to wear alone) under whatever shirt I’m wearing. Unfortunately, it can be rather hot in the summer time. I think a v neck is more flattering to my figure, but I have trouble finding ones that aren’t too low. These look promising. I’ll have to check them out.

  110. Jenn says

    May 2, 2011 at 5:35 am

I layer just about every day! I’ve taken to wearing some of my tank tops backwards because the neckline of the front isn’t really high enough – I’ll definitely bookmark ModBod for future reference!

I also love layering…and those look great! I think it’s hard to find an under shirt that is long enough that isn’t bulky as well. …and what great prices!!

I have never bought a Mod Bod shirt.

I love camisoles that come up just a bit higher, so you don’t have to worry about them sliding down underneath of your outer shirt. These are beautiful!

I’m always layering, but have not tried the Mod Bod clothing yet. Thank you for the chance to win! :-)

I layer with camis, because of nursing… and it just makes me feel more comfortable. I will probably need to stop for a few weeks this summer when it’s blazing hot and humid, but… we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. :)

oooh…I like the higher neckline of the cami! that would be great to wear as an under-layer!

The long length is a plus…too many are short these days for layering!

I love to layer clothes, espicially in the winter. I like to show off colors in the summer. It is a great way to keep your wardrobe updated.

I layer all the time and I love it. It changes my look up a bit and makes it so I’m not showing too much of “The Girls” or putting on too much of “The Show” (my hubby’s prefered phrase). I haven’t bought from Mod Bod before, but their prices are great. I”ll be sure to look them up next time I need to buy some new shirts.

Camis are great and I love how these look high in the chest. That is always a problem for me, not because Im huge up top but because I have short chest to shoulder length. Straps are always too long for me or the tank or shirt come down too low.

I, like Janelle, am an undershirt addict. I wear a camisole pretty much every single day and have for years. I have never heard of Mod Bod until reading your post. A current fav of mine was purchased at Costco (believe it or not) – a Flexees camisole. They are fantastic…hold everything in place, great material, I love them!

Ooooh, you can never have too many tank tops. I think I have more of them than t-shirts. They are especially good in summer so you can wear them alone or throw a mesh or loose shirt over for some breezy layers.

As I mentioned in a previous comment, I was and am a “under” shirt addict. I wore them while nursing and pregnant and am now addicted. I definitely could use some new tanks and would love to try these out!
