Mother’s Day Giveaway: Smart Mom Jewelry

April 29, 2011 By Stephanie

Mother's Day Giveaway: Smart Mom Jewelry 1Babies bite. Babies chew. Babies explore. Yes, they do.

And babies like Smart Mom Jewelry too!

(There’s my attempt at a little poem). (I actually used to write poetry a lot in high school and college). (But it was morose…and it usually didn’t rhyme).

Smart Mom Jewelry is a really smart idea. Created by two stay-at-home moms (read their story – it’s inspiring!), the company designs and sells jewelry that looks great on women and is safe for chewing by teething babies! All of their jewelry is non-toxic, phathalate, BPA, PVC, and lead free.

Here are a few of my favorites (that third one is vanilla bean scented!):

What a great idea! I actually always think about this now when I get dressed because my youngest chews constantly on whatever necklace I’m wearing and I worry about she’s getting from that. I’d looked at teething jewelry on a few other sites too, but the price wasn’t always worth it, so I usually just go without for now. Someday soon enough she won’t spend so much time in the Ergocarrier and always be grabbing at whatever necklace I’m wearing!

I like this idea a lot. My nursling pulls my hair and fiddles with anything she can. It would be nice to have something designated for her to play with while I’m wearing her, nursing her, or just holding her!

I love teething bling! I have been eyeing it for a while, but I had no reason to get it. Well, I am expecting now! I am currently on bed rest and baking a little girl in the “oven”. I love the vanilla scented one. Whata great idea for mommy jewelry!

I am a huge fan of Smart Mom jewelry. I just had my third child and I know he will be teething in a few months. There are so many different necklaces that I would love to have from Smart Mom that I wouldn’t mind my son “chewing” on.

What a great idea. It would be great to have the peace of mind knowing that my baby can chew on it with no danger to her or my necklace.

I thought we were heading out of teething territory but the 16 month old is miserable with her molars. I’m torn; I liked the brown snowflake one, the spice one, and the vanilla scented (!) one.

My niece is a “soon to be” teether. I’d love to win one of these for my sister, but I will probably order one now that I have the company info… I can always use a second one as a shower gift or something should I win.

Ok I totally have one of these, and I always froget to wear it. Thanks for the reminder. I would love to try the braclets those look cute and seem more practical to me for the baby to chew on, so your next dose not get pulled.

You had me at “Vanilla Bean scented”! i love the look, too. It reminds me of the soothies that are vanilla scented. I bought a bunch for my babies, probably more for me than for them. :)

  30. lucy says

I have always wanted to buy one of these, have yet to do it. Since having children, I have given up wearing most jewelry since they constantly pull or chew on it. I would love to have something that is safe for them to play and chew on.

I like the Lapis Lazuli pendant. My 9 month old had no problem with the two bottom teeth but his top two are driving us both a little crazy. His fingers are permanently in his mouth these days. I stopped wearing necklaces because he would yank on them.

  36. Becca says

    April 30, 2011 at 4:19 pm

I love these necklaces. I think that my daughter chews on my necklaces more than she does any of her toys. She LOVES them. So making a necklace w/ that purpose in mind is awesome!

  37. JulieK says

Brilliant – I keep hearing about this company and think they are totally awesome!! I too have stopped wearing a lot of jewelry since having a baby b/c he just pulls on everything and wants to eat it! :)

Oh, my. Sophia is a biter and a chewer and a put anything and everything in her mouth-er! She is forever trying to chew on my necklaces. I think she’d love it if I actually wore one that was safe for her to put in her mouth.

I like the white one best. I think I could throw that on with everything! Such a neat idea.

  42. Sarah T. says

    April 30, 2011 at 8:10 am

Such a clever idea! I like the bronze & the turquiose the best. Although my two year old is mostly past the teething stage, he’s still ver attached to his pacifier…and when I don’t let him have it, he always seems to be putting other things in his mouth.

  43. Betsy says

What a great idea! I like the gold one!

  44. Jesica says

I like the Jade and Moonstone solids. I really want to win this in hopes that my little girl will abandon her thumb for something more colorful. :) I doubt it, but it’s worth a try.

My 9-month-old is constantly putting things in her mouth as she is starting to crawl and explore her world. I was just thinking about buying one of these necklaces b/c she loves to chew on my necklace.

  52. Allison says

    April 29, 2011 at 10:58 pm

Pretty modern looking, I like it! My 11 month old is a mess, he wears an amber necklace himself but we would try anything with that for his poor mouth!
