I just recorded my first video for MetropolitanMama.net. And I feel like a dork and a half.
Janice of 5 Minutes for Mom (I love her - and her twin sister Susan too!) called me last night on Skype at midnight to ask me if I would cohost a Snazl party with them today and share my top blogging tip on video. I said, "Um." She said, "Come on, please." And, because I love them so much and want to support their blog, I said, "Okay." And went kicking and screaming toward the video camera. I'm exaggerating...a little.
So, welcome to my Snazl party. I'm not 100% sure what exactly that means, except that Snazl is a new interface where you can share multimedia across sites. You'll see my video and a few videos from other bloggers as well...and feel free to add your own blogging tip if you want.

Thanks for watching!
i agree the video thing is great! its very personal. very cute to see you and your daughter in action. although i think we lose a bit of your personality that we see through your writing. at this point there's something more flowing about your writing. it's all so new.
Ah you're so cute! I love getting to see and hear bloggers that I read. But I have to admit, I'm also not getting Snazl. Maybe it will click the more I get used to it.
I'm not getting Snazl but I loved your video. Great tip and so nice to see and hear you! I have to bite the bullet and start doing video on my blog. I'm nervous but I am going to do it soon.
Looks like the camera loves you. Thanks for the great tip!
lol - i would have to be dragged kicking and screaming to make a vlog - i hate how i come out looking on video =) i imagined that you would have a different voice for some reason...kind of like when you talk to someone only on the phone & then finally see them in person & they look nothing like you imagined them - only you don't know what you thought they would look like =)
I love it! It's so good to see you in person again. Thanks for the great tip! :)
Did you write a script for that? I tend to avoid making videos, because I'm always saying "Um" and "uh", or stumbling over my words. You did so well! Good job, and great tip! :)
By the way, you are totally adorable on camera, no matter how dorky you might feel!
You did great! You're adorable. And that baby and that sweet little girl's voice...so cute!! Great tip too.
I can't figure out how to do SnazL! I need to try harder, I guess...
You're totally adorable and I love the baby in the video and the big sister in the background. And of course the tip.
Now, I must admit I totally do not get the whole Snazle thing, though. I just went to your youtube video, because I played the snazle thingy and didn't see yours.

I thought you were great and it is so nice to put a voice with the same and face. So not dorky and SUCH great advice!
Nice Ergo!!! :)
Fun! It was really cool to get to see & hear you talking. I too hope there are more video clips in Metropolitan Mama's future... :)
Great video! Good job!
You are so NOT a dork! Nice work! As Marissa said, it is great to 'see' you in 'person'! I swear you read my mind sometimes...I am creating a new weekly blog topic and I am planning on giving you props! Enjoy the monsoon rains!
I love this! It's so nice to see you speaking in person - you should definitely do more videos. And great tip, too :)
Steph! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! You ROCK! You should do more videos! : )
