If all I got on Christmas morning was a stocking, I would be totally A-OK with that.
I love peeking in my stocking and seeing all of the little things inside - beef jerky, dark chocolates, hair ties, stickers, a novel, a new pen, a tube of lipstick...and a mandarin orange in the toe.
There's something so special about that tradition...so fun and wonder-filled. Don't you agree?
If you're still looking for last-minute stocking stuffer ideas, I've got ya covered. I'm going to be working into the wee hours of the morning to bring you a series of posts on that very topic. And - just for fun - I'm going to give you opportunities to win too. Ready?
Here we gooooo....
P.S. I'll also be presenting a few quick gift ideas for the kids on your list.
For a few years, hubby and I ONLY filled each other's stockings. No other gifts. So much fun!
Stockings are one of my favorite Christmas traditions too, and I just posted my own list of stocking stuffer ideas yesterday. I'm very much looking forward to reading your list to get some new ideas!!
I love getting a stocking, too! When we were kids, my sister and I were allowed to get up whenever we wanted to open our stockings. Presents were off limits until the whole family was ready, but stockings were free game. Sometimes we'd wake up SUPER early, sneak out and get the stockings, and then go back to our room and dump them on our bed, squealing with delight about whatever we got. Then we'd either play with stuff or go back to bed and wake up later. Good memories. I love Christmas!
I still love receiving a stocking from my parents. My dad especially enjoys picking out items for the stocking while my mom is in charge of the main gift. I look forward to gum & lip gloss the most.
Stockings are one of my favorite parts of Christmas too... so much fun to fill for others and I love discovering the little treasures in mine!
