Thanksgiving Turkeys. All you need - brown lunch bags, construction paper, glue, googly eyes (optional).
New York Cheesecake. The recipe I use is perfection (but be sure to use this homemade graham cracker crust instead).
A New Business. Tim just finished our website: InnovateNext. It's a web design and social media marketing company for small businesses.
What have you been making? Share links + ideas for the rest of us.
Love those little turkeys. And the brown bag ones too;)
Ahhh yes! Your famous cheesecake. I guess I should have asked for its autograph when it briefly graced my fridge. Thanks for sharing the recipe! I just bought some loaf pans for making batches of Amish friendship bread. Maybe a springform is next...
You have TASTED that cheesecake, right? I feel terrible that all it did was "sit pretty" in your refrigerator. I'll try to drop off a few slices next time I make it. :)
Cute, cute, cute turkeys! Your girls are getting so big! We've moved on to Christmas crafts. Our next project is to make a paper wreath with green hand cut-outs and red berries! Homemade pasta ornaments are soon to follow... http://tlc.howstuffworks.com/family/pasta-crafts2.htm :)
We've been making lots of the goodies I've pinned on my Food Pinterest board :) I'm also making Pouf's and blankets for the kids for Christmas, pillows for the niece's for Christmas and ear bands for my Sunday School kids!
Congrats on the new business! I just checked out your website - looks great and I know you guys will be a success :)
There's something about this time of year that puts me into craft and baking mode. I've been so busy making a lot of homemade Christmas presents and http://www.pinterest.com is my muse! (Don't go there if you don't want to become addicted) ;)
Oh, I adore Pinterest. So many creative projects and lovely things to look through.
We did something similar to your turkeys, but we used gloves instead of paper bags. I also made this fruit turkey for a fruit dish for our Thanksgiving meal:

I used blueberries and purple grapes for the "feathers."
Congratulations on the new business venture! Social media is definitely Tim's and your forte!
that cheesecake looks amazing! we haven't made anything with paper bags in so long. the turkeys are cute!
you can check out what we've been working on this month if you like. http://www.thedrunkenhousewife.com/2011/11/around-our-house.html
What kind of springform pan do you have? I've wanted to get one but haven't found one that is stainless steel. Kathy H
I have the Pampered Chef Springform Pan and have been very happy with it: http://bit.ly/rv2E7W. Ideal for cheesecake.
For something a little different in your cheesecake crust, try substituting coconut oil (the coconutty tasting kind) for the butter. It adds such a nice flavor. I did this with a no-bake (the crust was pre baked) apple cheesecake, and it was so tasty.
Your turkeys are too cute. We didn't do any Thanksgiving crafts this year. I just wasn't prepared.
Your cheesecake looks amazing. Good luck with the business, the website looks great. It seems a little like a business my husband and I have talked about starting for a while, but haven't done yet. I hope it works out great for you and Tim.
