Elegant Knitwear for Kids (don’t worry – it’s machine-washable)

June 7, 2008 By Stephanie

In my humble opinion, children’s clothing should be:

  • soft
  • simple
  • sweet
  • machine-washable
  • not too grown-up
  • not too branded
  • not too extravagant
  • just comfortably cute

Elegant Knitwear for Kids (don't worry - it's machine-washable) 1When I found the Picaflorkids knitwear collection, I checked off all of the items on that list and realized that they meet my criteria. The material is soft. The colors are cheerful. The styles are simple.

Check out these examples:

 Elegant Knitwear for Kids (don't worry - it's machine-washable) 2  Elegant Knitwear for Kids (don't worry - it's machine-washable) 3

Picaflor is a mom-owned company and is headquartered in Portland, Oregon. Picaflor doesn’t sell items directly from their site, but you can find them at brick-and-mortar stores across the U.S. or purchase pieces from online retailers.

Elegant Knitwear for Kids (don't worry - it's machine-washable) 4WIN IT! One winner will receive a Gabi Unisex Romper (SIZE 12 MONTHS) in Turquoise/Mint and a Turquoise Ear Cap (SIZE 12 MONTHS). To enter, leave a comment on this post prior to Sunday, June 15 at midnight (don’t forget to follow the rules). * Contest is open to readers from any country.

P.S. I know this doesn’t fit neatly into the “girl stuff” category for this weekend, but Picaflor’s girl pieces are so feminine…it just seemed like a nice addition.

*UPDATE* The winner is #92 Erica G. Congratulations!

These are really cute. I agree with what I look for in kids clothes!

I LOVE the frills on dresses, but I don’t let my little girls wear the ones with trim or stiffer material, because *I* hate wearing something that scratchy, and I want to make sure that they don’t sleep in it y’know? How uncomfy would it be to wake up from naptime, sweating with material like that against your skin?

I love these clothes because I don’t worry about who the baby is with, I know the girls will be comfy :)
